I haven't dared to lower the wings more, I'm still anything but comfortable in the car yet, so there's probably still some potential. Gears are already maxed out, that's why I was asking 'bout chassis config. Wouldn't mind a tooth or two more, just for engine speed & life. Water temps constantly over 100° C worry me...

Oil temp between 110º and 120º will cut engine life, but you should still easily make a 200 mile race. Going past 120º is another story though, that is where things can go wrong quickly.

Or am I running the wrong chassis config? I tried to lenghten the final ratio without success... Forget about what I wrote here, I fiddled with the reverse gear ratio, which does of course nuffin' for the final ratio...
I'm used to have final ratio on the bottom and reverse on top, AMS has that exactly the other way 'round. Now engine speed, temps and fuel use are in balance.

confirming Is it allowed to drive below white/yellow line? As long as there is no car exiting the pits there. But you will likely find that going below that line is not a good plan...

110 Oil should be okay, as it has been written before, I'm running in that area, too, but now, I'm doing between 4.35 and 4.6 litres fuel per lap, so I should be safe here. A little less DF than before helped as well. Still slow as eff, and the longer gearing doesn't make it any better, but there's little helping my granny chassis, I suppose...

If you overrev it or go too much above 120, that is another story. But bear in mind that in the draft you willa lso run cooler and using low fuel. In any case, Texas is probably the worst track of the schedule for all of this.

Was it this race that was controversial because of Johncock's protest in qualifying and ensuing war of words with Foyt?

IIRC that was the second race here, which you can also find in Youtube.

Here's a safe setup for anyone struggling. Just be aware that you have to take it easy at corner entry and not overcook the front right.

thanks alberto, definitely suits texas better than the default. was super twitchy at first, then remembered your wheel only has 360deg, changed the steering rotation back to 540 default and felt nice.

Me and Death Nugget will be racing. Can't say I'm confident yet on this track. A lot of new factors to contend with. Please bare with me, I'm trying to make myself as predictable as possible so as not to endanger anyone else's race.

Hello admins, can I have 78 as one off? Also, any tips on setup or practicing? I've read guide thread on this forum but still I'm struggling to neutralize oversteering after a few laps

Hello admins, can I have 78 as one off? Also, any tips on setup or practicing? I've read guide thread on this forum but still I'm struggling to neutralize oversteering after a few laps You can program two buttons for increase/decrease the rear anti-roll bar (Or sway bar in the US). Softer means less oversteer, stiffer more oversteer. Setup your car wings in a way that you start with some oversteer and so you use a lower roll bar. When you need it because you are behind another car or the tires are worn, you can increase the rear roll bar step by step to get the handling you want.
