Could you please switch me to the #66 car? I still have the same issue with the BS Fabrication cars, can only see the #25 and 26# cars... Thank you!

That was actually really disappointing. My ambition for tonight was 1. to enjoy my road racing again, and 2. to finish. 1 was accomplished, but I wish my race could have been longer. Not a lot of experience with these cars lately, and just plain lost it through Tamburello. When you enjoy your racing, you want to keep going for longer, and it was a long time since I enjoyed racing on road courses like this.

Grats to the podium and especially CC - you guys had strong pace today and I was not able to catch up to Anders in the second half of the race.
Very fun race for me! My personal highlight is finally managing a clean overtake on Richard who is the best defending sim racer I know - always fair and reading exactly where the cars are going to be. So I feel pretty accomplished after muiltple unsuccessful attempts in this and the previous season - either not successful or not 100% without contact

Phew, points after all. Well, lotsa guys who didn't want to finish in the first place or were unable to attend at all helped immensely, though. But then, there was again a bit of a ... huge difference in perception. The car felt really fast. It was really sweet all around, I could precisely place and steer the car around and apply just exactly what the rubber allowed. It just wasn't fast, though. Q was a bit of a wasted effort, I fiddled a bit around with toe settings and gearing, and that just wasn't right, cost me well 1 1/2 seconds off of my best. So, back to what I knew was working, just some smallish tire pressure changes. Just wanted to play it a bit safe and backed off one click at the rear, but that was a bit too much around mid race.
My start wasn't to overwhelming, either, because the green light came later than anticipated, and after avoiding a jump start twice, I finally had the clutch come to fast with too much throttle. That surely must have looked good on TV, just didn't really got me moving. After that first Tosa melee, I briefly held 11th though, always went a bit back and forth, but then, lap 7, turning into Piratella, the car ran somewhat wide. another position lost, regained, when another car had a mishap. A bit on, and Juha, who obviously didn't have the best of days, returned to track in front of me at Tosa, but as I wasn't in the place to challange his position, I followed him, looking for my chance. Well, he didn't manage to avoid the tire stacks at Variante Alta next time around, and I spun around in sympathy, as I lifted the throttle just a bit too much. Yeah, there went another two positions. By now, I was in ... 13th, I think. From there, David always kept close company to me, for a long time, I was able to just keep the gap, but slowly, I could make up some ground. That spin also had me a bit impressed, especially as the tires don't like making extra donuts. At some point, he ran wide at the entrance of Bassa, and I could finally pass him. With some extra help, that was 9th in the meantime. Quickly, I opened a 3 second gap, but then, my car was once more going a bit wider than desired, and David was back within a second. Now I had a bit of work holding off David, without overstressing my car, while my right rear quickly faded away. Thankfully, he spun once more when he was lapped, that sealed the deal for me - 8th, but I think, I never ran my tires that much down before. One of the few times I was happy to be a lap down...
...well, on to AVUS, da mother of drafting...

I got held up at the start and with this track offering very few overtaking opportunities I was stuck in a train in the second half of the top 10. I overtook a few people who ran wide and then tried too hard twice, the second one ending my race.

I couldn't be fast with the car at any time, I lacked intimacy with it and clearly, the other competitors knew what to look for from the car and I didn't. I had to make a stop to change tires, precisely because of this lack of familiarity with the car, as this was the first time I drove this new version of PROCAR. Congratulations to CC on the brilliant victory. Watching the excellent race broadcast, I could see how different the way I was driving the car was compared to the other drivers. For me it was a fight from start to finish to tame this angry bull.

First of all congratulation to all finishers and especially to people on the podium of course.
Did quite a good lap in qualifying, I think, and was pleased with third spot on the grid in my first race with these cars (and in AMS in general). I wonder if that result was maybe due to the fact that I used my second set of tyres in qualifying while others didn't?
From then, it all went downhill, unfortunately. On the grid, I noticed my car was rolling backwards slightly for whatever reason. Tried to stop it with the handbrake, but apparently I hadn't assigned my usual handbrake button. Or the car does not have a handbrake? Anyhow, I had to step on the brake to stop the car. For the lack of a third foot and time to think of a better solution, I just put it into first and then jumped on the throttle when lights turned green. The result was somewhat suboptimal. Three or so cars passed me immediately, a lot more when I messed up the upshift from 2nd to 3rd - twice. Sorry to all who had avoid me there. After Tosa I was down to 14th. My pace from qualifying was gone and I didn't have the confidence on the brakes to pass anybody on track. Moreover, Bruno told me during practice this week that these cars need quite a bit of tyre saving. So I didn't want to overdo it and tried to drive as smooth as possible - to no avail. After one third distance the tyres were already very worn. Other people seemed to have similar issues and started to run off the track or into tyre stacks. At half distance I was up to seventh. The gaps to 6th and 8th were huge already, so from now on it was just a matter of finishing. Which I achieved, with the right rear tyre completely worn out.
The race was a bit dissapointing, compared to qualifying. But it was good fun to be on track with you nonetheless. Still a lot to learn with these cars. Hope to hop in for another one-off soon if other schedules allow it, maybe in F1 1986 next time.

Turned up a bit under-prepared and it showed. Sorry to everyone affected by my failed attempt at overtaking Francisco, I should have backed out of it, didn't, we touched and that send me into the unforgiving tirestacks which ate my front left suspension.

Funny how the perspectives on such small things can be different - I would have said the car needs just a little bit of tire saving on this track and I would not be able to go much faster even if throwing the tires into the shredder. Looking at the results my qualifying and race best laps were 0.5 sec apart while for most people it seems to be closer to 1 sec.
I guess I have to wheel the car more at the last race at Avus

Very happy for the result, was a fun race and being close to Cezarius for the entire race was unexpected. A couple of mistakes ruined the opportunity to fight for the win, i think that on some moments i was putting pressure on Cezarius, the car was flying!
Congrats to all the finishers and thanks to Jonathan ( and your assistant of course 😺) and Juha for the broadcast.
