I had a fun race. A great start. There was a lot of enjoyable battles, and even a collision I had to avoid with the Benetton and Ferrari involved. Eventually both caught up and I let them by since there is no sense in battling cars way quicker than yours. It was quiet from that point on.
Around lap 30 I started getting the wildest freezes, lasting up to 4 seconds long. I decided to pull over as it would be too dangerous to lag that hard and then magically appear again, blocking someone and causing a crash. I haven't any clue why it happened. The Arrows was good to me, but I put the 6th gear a few clicks too short. Oh well. Until next time..
P.S. If anyone has any tips on how screen freezes like that could be solved I'd be glad to hear it. I had some issues a few weeks back with it that I solved, but these freezes were nothing like the ones I had today.

@matthew:I wanted to assess my fuel consumption and I completely missed my braking point. I sincerely apologize for bumping into you. Fortunately, you were able to continue the race until your computer problem. I personally solved my frezze problems by installing the game on C: (it was previously on a second HD).

No problem Gilles, I didn't get damage that altered my race too much and after all not too much time was lost either. I will try your C drive suggestion!

Wow... If i tell, you won't believe.
My wheel was tilting to left at the time...after 10 laps, it tilted 45 degrees and at 34th lap it reached 90 degrees. At the pit I unplugged the USB connection, restarted the G27 and recovered the FFB.
I stopped one more time at 45th lap to do the same, recentralizing the wheel. But Moises Pereira shorted my advantage and I didn't want stop anymore, and my wheel increasing the tilting.
At last 2 laps, my wheel became 180 degrees tilt, and I take hand as centralized, but I couldn't forget the paddleshifts position (now, left to upshift and right to downshift).
Wow, I never be so happy to finish a race...I'm feeling the River Hudson pilot landing the plane...

Qualifying again was my big problem only managing to set 8th quickest time. I knew that the car would be faster in the race (thanks Ray) and it proved to be. Starting from 8th I had to run every lap as fast as possible which is difficult as one mistake can end you race. I got up to second at one point and then the lead for a couple of laps when Richard pitted. After my pitstop I was 4th and had to push again to close on the cars ahead, caught them and then a mistake going into the hairpin resulted in crashing into the tyres. The car would still drive but only slowly and a pitstop didn't fix it therefore it was time to retire. Lots more happened but thats racing. Congratulations on the win Richard. Thanks for the broadcast , I'll watch it to find out the finishing order.

Had a mare in qualifying! Did low flying backflips on my first run, cooked a motor on outlap of second then did one slow lap. Then blew another engine then managed to get a slightly faster lap in but that only put me 19th. Made a good start, gained places, unfortunately I slowed up to avoid a spinning Osella but a Ferrari behind just had no time to react and tapped me round which collected a Haas too. So a lap 2 wing change I charged hard and worked my way up to 14th, and once everything else played out I came home 12th! Really enjoyed driving the Benetton, was nice to drive something with grip after the Tyrrell and Osella I have been driving previously! Well done to Richard for the win!

Not an outstanding result, but at least Richard won so the team won't be too disappointed with the no. 2 driver.
Qualifying was a disaster. I opted to use the setup Richard sent me just an hour before. Had no practice with it and on my first run the car and me were completely out of sync, 1:22, P14. The second run was better, 1:18,1, P9. I was confident to improve further but the third run was over before it even started when I launched the car into the air over the outside curb of Peraltada. The last run was no better, engine letting go on the outlap.
Getaway at the start was bad, as expected, P12 at the end of lap 1. I could quickly pass the two Ligiers and I think a Tyrrell. Then really nothing happened for 20 laps. Got quicker towards the end of the stint, apparently not suffering as much with tyre wear as the cars around me. Then I got overconfident and had a half spin in turn 1. It cost me 8 seconds plus a massive flatspot. Went on for a few laps with reasonable pace, but my left hand had already hurt before and the vibrations in the wheel didn't help. So I pitted a few laps earlier than planned, A compound again, 40 laps to go.
Again nothing happened for dozens of laps. Was P6 because someone fell off in front of me. Got lapped by Richard with 12 to go. The car felt surprisingly good on the worn tyres and I did my personal best two laps before the end, unlapping myself from Jules. Unfortunately for me, one lap too late to benefit from Jules retirement.
It was a fun evening. Very good driving from all involved. I hope to race at Adelaide again. Think I have improved some from Estoril, hoping to make another step in the next race.

Enjoyed the racing while it lasted and just tried to nurse it home for 2nd on the worn tires and very marginal fuel. Engine failed on last lap. I've been looking forward to the next race at Adelaide all year as I love the track. Hopefully the Renault engine cooperates there.

Had a good start but soon felt the pace from the guys around was abit to high for me . Dropped back to 7th found my rythm and kept it steady althrough the race. A rather lonely race for most of the time. It started to heat up the last 10 laps or so when Grant came at me with a furius pace . Thanks to attrition and some spare fuel i got third ! Grats to Richard C for win and Gabriele to second and all that saw the checkered flag . Guy in the booth

Last night was a fun one for me. I never really click with Mexico and this was no exception. Couldn’t find the right balance between speed and downforce so went with the former. At the start of the race I was set on a 2 stopper and My start was very poor and I slipped down to 8th. For the majority of the race I was in a very intense battle with Anders even though we spent the majority not even close to each other. Having different strategies was very interesting and the last stint I started catching by around 0.8-1 second a lap, however Anders put in some pretty impressive laps on worn tires to hold position by a second over the line. Was pretty cool race all in all and I really enjoyed it Well done to Richard, impressive pace.. and also well done Gabriele! I believe that’s our 4th 2nd place and off course to Anders for the podium. Thanks Jason for the broadcast- epic as usual

A tough race, for reason's ill explain. Qualifying was okay, didn't get much Q practice time so i was happy. Race, i had a great start and took the lead but Jules boosted up to retake it. Spent a few laps behind him working out best place to overtake, turned out it was the best one as he was obviously on a higher downforce/lower boost setup. Got stuck behind Francois (No fault of his) and a great move by Jules and then Ray took advantage because i had bogged down, so back to where i started. Gained again on the leading two, shame what happened to you as i know you had some good pace. Hopefully you'll be back up the front at Adelaide.
Once i passed them my tires were starting to wear heavily so i decided to go to a 2 stop strategy. Pitted on lap 26, had a horrendous stop (17 seconds) but i knew with the fresh rubber i could push. That is when my main issue kicked in, the engineer i use managed to distort my sound to my car sounded similar to the video below. Not what i wanted, wasn't too bad at first but then it got worse and worse and hitting my upshift revs became harder and harder. After i had got back to second and close to Jules, i decided to take it a bit easier and make these tires last to the end, i also realised he wasn't stopping. Managed to pass him at the second time of trying after being squeezed the first attempt. A bit too close for comfort but all was okay. After that it was just about bringing the car home and managing the tires/fuel etc. Grats to everyone who finished and to the podium, Mexico is a demanding track. I was going to pop in for a chat after the race Jason White but my sound was still messed up and i couldn't really hear anyone in Discord. Thanks for the broadcast, great as ever. See you all in Adelaide, where i hope to avenge Mansell and get him to the finish (Shame there is no title up for grabs ) Warning, after an hour, your ears will be ringing

Mexico City is a track that I particularly love. Finding the ideal pace during the Esses is essential, although BT55 is not the ideal car to drive in Qualifying P4 after being in P2 for a long time, perhaps my best performance of the year. Every lap I improved and this hasn't happened for too long.. Race: Start P4 with Hard-Medium compound that convinced me during the warmup maintaining my position behind the Bouchard-Coxon-R.Riddall trio. Sabre passes Nilsson and caught me on lap 9 when I lose a lot of time behind the cars to be lapped, Ray flies out at Peraltada without front wing and so I return to P4. Grant also passes Anders, but on lap 21 he already goes to the pits to change tires. I stay at Jules'pace (more or less) even if the lapped cars takes away my pace, but I decide to continue without stopping. However, I was still fighting for the podium, tires started to wear off after half race and I was easily caught by Coxon who had already stopped, like David 11 laps later. However, I am in the right place at the right time. David has a wheelspin and lets me pass. A misunderstanding on the straight causes us to almost collide and he slightly touches the wall on the right. I don't think he suffered any damage because 4 laps later he overtook me on the straight. But the battle is not over yet! At the hairpin he has a weird snap oversteer hitting the tires wall giving me back P3 which I hold until the last lap. When Jules engine had enough gifting to me final This race has been more like an endurance tire test, in fact best strategy was 1 stop. Finished with FL = 35% , FR = 53%, RL = 23% , RR = 25%. Fuel consumption under control, crossed the line with 1,7 liters spare. Congrats to Coxon (untouchable) , to Anders for , Grant P4 really close to podium, and Mr. White on the booth. Working solo is at least x2 more difficult
A good day for Brabham team. 9 points and we are still 5th in the constructors standings. See you in Adelaide

Started 10th and i finished 10th, lonely and quiet race for me but the car was pretty good. Was the tipical race for me this year, slower than Ligiers but slightly faster than haas, now i can't wait for the final race in Adelaide!
Congrats to Richard for the amazing win, i watched the broadcast and was not an easy cruise, and of course to the rest of podium. Great race Gabriele!
Thanks Jason for the broadcast, see you.

First race driving the Tyrrel after 2 Dnfs with the Pro-barbacue Motori Moderni Minardi. Managed to get a good qualify to 13 position, could have improved a bit but never managed to get the peraltada right on the quali runs. Went to the race worried if could get the clutch wrong and let the car stall as I did before with the Minardi. Race started and I decided to lift off to don't ruin anybodys race in turn one but wow, everyone past me. Could get some positions back using the power of the Renault in the straight but after a small recover I was there stuck in 14-15 position with bad race pace. I was wondering if everybody else would be out of fuel and I could gain some positions but I was just wrong. Ended 6 laps behind with enough fuel to cover the 7 laps. Atleast got the feeling of finishing this race, the longest I took part in simracing. Now will try to improve car setup, and have a better race pace. Thanks for hosting the event, see you next!
