Sorry, i just can't get any pace in the car... with my dad being hospitalized and in in intensive care 3 times, i didn't had any time practicing and quite frankly.. this car doesn't suit me.. i have withdraw from the BTCC series, but i will try my darnest with the F1 1991 series as it's my passion.

Nice to be able to complete a race, for a change. Felt generally comfortable with the car, but lack of free time = lack of practice and it shows. Put my quickest lap well into the race, after learning what the car wants. Thanks to Jason for sending me a setup, borrowed some key settings from it although I spun in the hairpin due to not being used to them. Paid off later however! Have to run now, too late for me to do race 2 today, but I enjoyed the driving even if quite lonesome. Oulton always rocks, glad we will visiting it again this year

I am in pain since i had a small home accident, so i just tried to be part of it, and get out of everybody's way, until the pain got too much. Thanks for all who showed up for yet another great race

gotta say thanks to David once again for the setup. I've made dumb moves on both races. At least, it was with myself. Hope didn't disturb anyone.

First race was a mess by my part, im like Damon Hill, i have the number 1, not fast and a bit shy in the battles, sorry for Michael, i think that was a racing incident, i had a big bump and that completely pointing my car in your way...
But the second race was very good, i had a MASSIVE luck with all cars crawling around, make me 17h to 10 th, A.Nilsson on a recovery pass me easily then i gained one place with an error on the front of the race, and then Elias made a mistake, my best race since long time, very consistent and 2 point ! Mon objectif est accompli !

Slow getaway at the start for race 1. Then I think some lag was going on at entry to turn 1. I felt a hit, apparently from nowhere. In replay I saw it was Jonatan, John and me apparently all overlapping at one point of space. Very strange situation. There was a bit of damage to the right side of the car, but I was going on in P4. Ran wide at the double right hander after the uphill section which allowed Juha to pass. Nothing noteworthy happened until the end.
Start for the second race was initially better, but then there was a collision with Anders in the first left hander. I went down from P3 to P6 and was stuck behind the Juha/John battle. Made up one spot when Dave slowed down and that was it.

Two very different races. Both not exactly to my liking, though the new physics seemed te have helped a bit. They give me a better feedback on the wheel, and it seems I don't have to dial the car as far out as before to make it turn. Could be track specific, though. But the car was happily sidestepping through the chicanes like a rabbit. I liked that!
Had a good run in Q1 towards the end and almost matched my personal best and a nice position in the middle of the field. My start was okay for myself, but that Vectra behind me had a much better one, and let's not mention the Audi. The first quarter of the race was relatively calm, eveyone taking a look at each other and a restrained attempt here and there, but nothing to spectacular. Things got a bit more intense into the second quarter of the race. Sandwiched between the two Vauxhalls of Felipe and Dante, I felt, I needed a bit of breathing room, and Felipe wanted to have us both for dinner. Everyone took a paint sample of each other, and into lap 5, everything escalated into T1, with both Vauxhalls taking a very wide line and myself losing a lot of momentum. Unfortunately, that meant the end to Felipes effort, but I wasn't done with Dante, yet. So I slowly krept back to his taillights, and in L9, I had a good run from Knickerbrook and was able to go alongside him into the lefthand kink before Druids, not an attempt at a pass, but to unnerve him, but I suspect, he wasn' aware I was already that far up, and he moved to the left, where one wants to be for the next righthander, but he cut me off and I hit his rear wheel, which sent him sideways and us both into the armco. My car was now a bit bent all around, yet still was still running quite okay, but with the loss of a few positions, and Dante out of the race. I could shorten the gap to David, but he was to far away to be caught. Balance was fine through the race and wear was acceptable.
Q2, I was on a good way to a 1:44.0, until I turned in a bit to early into the second chicane and hit the sausage curb. Not so good, thus I couldn't match my laptime from Q1. And I lost the privateer's pole to Felipe, which I didn't like at all! A bit of competition now, though. I did an ever so slight tire pressure adjustment for R2, but else, I kept everything as it was.
Start was pretty okay, but then, things went horribly wrong, first a BMW spun in my way in the hairpin and I lost quite some positions and probably damaged my car a little. And then, Jason spun in my way in Knickerbrook and I had to help him spin further by running into his rear, and I lost even more positions. From there, it was pretty lonesome race, I had a short, fun battle with Simon, and for a while, I could slowly creep up to the cars in front, but couldn't get any closer than 10 seconds. But then, I got a severe understeer, had to let David in the Pug go, and readjust my driving. Last lap got a bit eventful, trying to get my ill-handling car come, I had realised I had gone up a few positions, but I was a bit baffled by a Renault in my mirrors. went a bit wide into the hairpin checking the distance to the car behind me, and away he was. Now that was stoopid! And then, I could earn the privateer's trophy victory, when Felipe had an off. But that second race was pretty characterbuilding. The car was definitely better than the driver, today...

This series is great. The mod is great. Such a recipe for fun races. What a wonderful event!
I didn't know how to find the 4 seconds that separated me from the fastest car, but I was happy to find a place in the grid and have good battles in the first race. These cars allow for very close racing, and Oulton is too narrow for overtaking. So 16 laps of adrenaline and pressure. I was trying to overtake Michael after the start and some climbing in the positions, while Dante seemed to be a bit slower because of Felipe which packed us up. Felipe missed a turn, M.D. got sideways later, I could pass Dante, and then I was 11th behind Ray Ridall. Although 10 seconds was too much, I thought it was possible.
However, out of nowhere David Sabre arrived like a phoenix! The red Peugeot was too fast, and my luck was the track (short) width. I tried my best to defend myself, but in lap 14 it was really impossible and he gained the position. So I tried to get it back as I saw Ridall just ahead of him (where have the 10 seeconds gone??), got carried away and hit the bollard on the left turn at the second chicane... Damaged car, driveable, back to the race to finish 12th which was a very satisfying result for me. I can't explain the emotions I felt during the 16 laps... happy adrenaline all the time! Cold ice in my accident, but then again, more adrenaline to try and finish at my 12th spot, since I was never gonna be able to pass Phoenix Sabre and Resilient Ridall.
Q2 and some problems... mistakes... I knew I could be faster than 19th and that damaged my driving control. I was too excited with the possibilities of climbing 1 second from my quali time... when the nightmares of the fast left-turn began. So my quick qualifiying lap went to the tyre wall, but Race 2 would gift me with a bit of a carnage 5 turns ahead of the start that catapulted me to 11th! Which became 12th as soon as I saw Anders in my mirrors - no point in holding him too long: when he closed up I just pulled to the right to save my tyres. Twelfth was good and two cars were ahead, with overtaking possibilities.
But how do you find power to overtake when you're behind The Watt-man!? It was impossible! That Mondeo was incredibly fast on straights, and although I think I was faster overall, there was no way I could find some watts for my engine itself. Mr. Wattman had all the power to hold that position, Dante was there, too but I couldn't hit my KITT jump button anyhow. So I had to wait for a mistake or something. Little did I know that the mistake would be all mine... wrong acceleration before the quick left-hander and I touched the grass. Though I was able to control the car and come back with no damage, I've dropped two positions - David Sabre ahead again. I knew it would be impossible to get in the points now.
And then my biggest fear happened: I changed earphones between races due to battery management, and my second set suddenly disconnected from the PC! (Bad words), how could it?? I thought its battery was dead, but no! As I threw my earphones on the floor I started hearing engines again - yes, I was ready to drive with no sound, just visuals. This mess spoiled my concentration, and I made a couple of mistakes more - sorry if I scared anyone or if I spoiled anyone's race, not my intention.
Earphones back, I was then in front of Jon. And all my problems were gone! Fun was back as we were racing every inch of the track, then Augusto hit the same bollard I did in the first race, but I wasn't able to move away from Jon. It was sad that he missed the braking point before that chicane #2, cos we'd be battling till the end. He gave the position back to me (thanks for that, mate!), and my slpstream caused him to lose the front of his car, going to the grass before the last turn.
But I wanted the fun back!!! So I tried to find a safe point to wait for him, let him pass and then we started battling again. I bet he didn't understand a thing at that moment lol but there was no point in racing alone the last lap. It could've been better if I hadn't missed the turning point when I was 12th... anyway, it is what it is. And the journey was such a joy for me.
Looking forward to our return here. And to the next race! Congratulations to the winners and to everyone who raced today. To Dante for the points, Felipe for the great first races, thanks David Sabre, Michael Drechsler, David Wattman, Dave Miller, and Jon Clark for the fun racing battles, and everyone else involved that I might've forgotten.
And thanks to the admins for providing such a great event!!! See you next time.

Like for many others, two different races for myself as well.
Practice: As has been the norm for me this winter season, I had nearly no time to practice, but thankfully the cars are quite intuitive to drive and only minor changes are needed for each track, add to that too that I love driving on Oulton Park, my second favourite track on the calender. Was worried as I saw everyones' pace during the pre-practice ahead of Qualifying, but my mind omitted to register that most may have been doing Qualifying simulations.
Q1: Had a decent session, went out on Hards to begin with. Managed a decent banker lap but still a little ways away from the top of the field, which felt very distant.
Over a second to make up to the front of the grid, but let's smack some softs on the bulky Volvo and let's see what we can do. Went out and the car felt like it was on fairly stable rails. Went around for a try, managed to get within a few tenths of Niklas and I could feel that the car had a little bit more to give. Put a new set of tires on and went around again, hitting most turns just right and managed a very good lap for myself, which was good enough to snatch pole position away, very happy with that.
R1: Unfortunately for me, there was an incline right at the point of the P1 starting spot, which was a surprise. Made a hash of the start, seeing both Bimmers of Grant & Anders fly by and then, when trying to get the car slowed for Old Hall, there was a tap up the rear and the car shot to the inside of the corner. Just one of those things that happen in close Super Touring race starts. Rejoined and found myself in 6th place, in a Renault sandwich with Juha ahead and Dave behind me.
Did my best, trying to keep a good pace and looking for opotunities to pass. Sadly the International layout has one downside, it lacks a proper good passing oportunity. Made a mistake a few laps in and thought my race was over, like for Leslie in '96, but thankfully I was able to wrestle the car back on track after running wide at Island and getting the car stopped for Shell, just holding on from Dave, who ended up giving me a tap looking for the inside line through the hairpin.
In the end, Grant fell back after a couple of mistakes and nothing could be done about the guys ahead. With 3 laps to go, the tires fell off the cliff and with a couple of small mistakes strewn into the final laps, 5th was the reward. Somewhat disapointing after a good Qualifying, but still no disaster at least, good points and good battles.
Q2: Decided to put the Softs on immediately and somehow, it all just came together. Drove a lap which felt like a banker lap, but with no mistakes, no histerionics and no major pushing, just nice and controlled within the limits. It was to the extent, that I exclaimed "That's a decent banker lap" and then I looked at the time and realized that it was a bit better than that... Later in the session I went out to give it one more go and was able to improve it a little bit, to make it a 1,41,7xx, which was a personal best ever with Super Tourers around Oulton Park International.
R2: In the Warm-Up for the race, I went to the grid and did an extra practice start, which helped as I had a far better start for the second race, but Grant still flew past into the lead of the race. Down through Cascades Grant ran a little bit wide and it gave me an oportunity to get a run down Lakeside towards Island and was able to get an overlap going down there. Sadly we ended up slightly touching side-by-side and it unsettled Grant enough to have him run wide. I contemplated letting him back past but as it felt like I had been tucked up as far to the right as I dared going down to Island, I decided to keep going.
So in the lead, and it was time to try to eek out the gap to a secure distance. Thankfully the car was working a treat and with clear, clean air, the laptimes kept tumbling down and the gap building.
So, with a nice, consistent drive, with only one real mistake (running a bit too wide at Druids once, it all came together for my first win in the championship. Hopefully it won't be my last in the hunt for the championship, but the field is so tight that it's not impossible that it's going to be the only win of the year. Well done to all involved in the event, it was good fun and good to see everyone giving it a red hot go.

Congrats for the mod and race format! What awesome combination!
Messed up the two races. First, I blew up my engine when pushed the neutral button by mistake. Second, dead tyres and bad luck. Figured out that some guys like to push another driver off track... So I'll be more awared about this. Thanks for the opportunity!

I really enjoyed our battles Fernando, apologies for the mix up at the end! Hopefully see you on the track again soon. I have only done about 4-5 sim races in 10 years, so it was nice to come back and race with everyone. I only decided on the day that I was going to race so only had a couple of hours practise. I was worried my rustiness would be a problem wheel to wheel. Overall I had pretty good pace thanks to the good car but made far too many errors due to being very rusty. I thoroughly enjoyed myself though, I got very annoyed at myself for some of the spins. Thank you for letting me race I hope to join more
