I can't say that I like the aeroscreens, but I understand the logic behind them. Only issue I can foresee is them getting really dirty from oil and dust, for helmets they had the visor layers the driver removed when he saw fit, here I guess they will have to clean the windscreen as in Nascar or GT cars.

The main concern I have is upper-left corner visibility at steeply-banked ovals. If they have considered that in the design, then I am cool with it. Looks 1000 times better than the stupid halo in F1, that's for sure.

Here's some video from the test. The screen looks too wide at the top, the sides should have sloped in a bit, I suppose we'll get used to it. It looks as though it has a sun visor around the top which could be removed for high banked ovals.

Well i hope that the new Dallara will be able to integrate it better, since it seems like a poorly devised addon on aesthetics wise in the current one.

Quite frankly, I'd rather have a fully enclosed "jet fighter" canopy instead of that horror. The jet fighter bubble canopy gives perfect visibility, is well tested even in wartime conditions and against bullets and explosions, and safer than anything else, plus in many situations the crowd would not even notice it is there. Aesthetically speaking, it is the less intrusive option by far.

I agree alberto. People Keep harping that a driver could be strapped under if the car would be upside down, but the canopy should have side doors itself, ah la Peugeot 905, if the cockpit was a bit wider, which i think the rules should enforce anyways, due to side impacts like the one that killed Hubert at Spa.
edit: either that, or a sliding mecanism so that it could be removed forwards, or even sideways.
