Will we have broadcast of the race?

Unfortunately as of now there is no broadcast planned because Jason will be in a trip and Jonatan will be racing.

I know I've been quite good with the Tyrrell so far in preparing for the GP but given that I've spent most of my time in iRacing and I sort of feel a little sick to my stomach since today, I'm strongly thinking about taking over for the broadcast. Tending towards asking to take over that duty for Sunday.

Just a short question. Will be do thursday quali and sunday quali in the full season like the last F1 1991 season? I know this time its an open race

It’s still undecided to be honest. We want to see how this format pans out.

Yeah, I'd like to take over broadcasting duties for this race, if there's "demand" or the chance of a broadcast.
If not, then that's fine too.
Either way, take me out of the Tyrrell please.

It's fine if you broadcast, I will join you in the booth then but by all means if you finally feel like racing tomorrow go ahead and pick the car

Well I've got some "slight" issues with my OBS at the moment. First off, the damn scoreboard flickering. Jonatan/Jason, how do you get your AMS to be broadcast without the scoreboard flickering every couple frames?? Next, I want to make some nice live graphics using SimHub but it seems like SimHub doesn't recognize AMS in spectator mode...but that one's on me to solve.

This happens when you broadcast and drive at the same time. I believe David Jundt knows how to get around this since he streams his races live with no issues.

Nope.
I used Mixer, and since they removed the Xbox Windows Game Bar, I can't anymore.
I'd need to use a streaming programm aswell, but I haven't gotten around to it yet and it all seems a bit of a hassle.
Might try Streamlabs OBS if I get to it...

I *am* using Streamlabs OBS lol. But I solved it by turning on the FPS display with CTRL-F

Does the server need resetting guys? For quali and the race to set at 53 laps?

is driving with quali tyres mandatory? i had to load different cars which set my lap counter "back"

Post by Alberto Ibanez on Dec 1, 2019 19:59:45 GMT
No, but they are quicker.
Whatever the case, go to warmup with the same tires you used in qualy and leave to change them only then please. Otherwise you lose your grid position.

fun race the car was difficult to drive, but had some nice close racing. To get into a rhythm and not overheat the tyres will be the challenge for a full season.

Simply too tired after 6+6+9 hours away and either playing or refereeing floorball in the last 3 days and about 8 hours of sleep over the two nights between, no idea why that's the case, just not been able to fall asleep at night in the recent few days. I simply had neither the physical nor mental fortitude to get through the whole race. I could feel myself weakening a few laps before my retirement when I started running wide both at Turn 1 and at Spoon and then I simply lost the car by going a bit too wide, got sideways and tried to hold it on a tiny slide but I couldn't react fast enough to realize it wasn't going to work and hit the inside barrier coming out of T1. Then going up the hill I could feel that the car was crabbing and as soon as I tried to squeeze a bit of power on the car just wouldn't take it so decided to just let her go. I really like the Coloni and the way it handles and the racing, what little I did get, was good with Jason and Gianluca. But compared to both of them the Coloni was a snail crossed with a sloth going down the straights, it had nothing to put up against them. But oh well, the tires proved no real issue for me, took a little bit of time to get the tire temps down after a spin but I'd expect that to be the case if I spin so all is well for me, bar me not being able to finish yet another Open Wheel, Down Force Heavy, race.... But now, bed and a solid 8 hour kip at least. I hope you all have a good rest of the race
