The eagle-eyed (No pun intended for Dan Gurney customers ) might notice in the silhouettes a tiny, small ... but important realism change in the layout of one of the tracks ...

We have a winner Yes, we found some old satellite images that showed how T1 was configured differently that we first thought. Instead of a perfect 180º corner, the turn starts smoothly and then becomes sharper in the final part. That explains also why we could not fit properly 26 cars in the straight part of the pitlane in our old track (Which was a GPL conversion) and had to make it longer. Here is an image of the satellite pic, red is the old GPL track we were using, green is the correct layout: An accurate Trenton is on the works now and we expect to use it in this 74 series ... and more years to come

Just a heads-up to let everybody know that the Ontario thread will go up this friday evening. The extra cars for the race, for those interested in a one-off, will be: #16 Joe Leonard | Vel's Parnelli Jones Racing Team | Eagle 73-Offy FI #18 Steve Krisiloff | American Kids Racer | Eagle 72-Offy FI #28 Lee Brayton | Eisenhour-Brayton Racing | Eagle 72-Offy GY #42 Jerry Karl | Lindsey Hopkins Ayr-Way | Eagle 72-Offy FI #53 John Cannon | Pat O'Reilly | Mongoose 71-Foyt FI #55 Jerry Grant | Robert L Fletcher | Eagle 74-Offy FI #58 Eldon Rasmussen | Eldon Rasmussen | RasCar Atlanta 74-Foyt GY #69 John Mahler | Roy Woods Racing | Eagle 72-Offy GY #76 Rick Muther | Webster Racing | Eagle 72-Offy FI #97 Johnny Parsons Jr | Leader Card Racers | Eagle 72-Offy FI which will be available first come, first served when the entry list opens at 20.30 CET, so that anyone interested in the Norisring race has also time to book a car there Since we have no official race scheduled this sunday, we will be staging an Ontario practice event for whoever is interested, which means a one hour open practice followed by a 2 laps qualy and a short (non-points) race to get the feel of the car in traffic, in preparation of the following weekend's qualy races. There will be no yellows in this practice race, but if those who attend want it, we can do several practice starts.

Again a heads-up for you all, specially for the one-off crowd: The California 500 thread will go up later today at 21.00 CET
Those who did not take part in the qualifying races will be placed in the grid in the order they confirm attendance, so the earlier you confirm, the further up in the grid you will be.

Sorry for the delay with the next race thread guys, had some busy weeks with real life and have to give some final touches to the track (All new, no longer the quite old one we were using) but the race thread should appear over the weekend -likely on sunday morning- and the entry list for the extra 5 cars will open after this sunday F1 1991 race.
