Hah, '90s Britpop finest! If asked, if I was a Blur or Oasis fan, I always answered: Pulp!

Not a fan of every Blur song but this song I used to listen to non-stop back in the late 90's.

I'm somewhere in that crowd (and it sounded better there than on video):

Finding a link to Monza was easier than for Mainz-Finthen. You've probably never heard of this band, and it's likely you'll understand nothing of the lyrics either, but the link to tomorrow's race is very clear.

Italy. Can't race there without posting some proper canzone!
Like this interpretion of a classic:
(no, it wasn't accidentally played in 33 1/2 )
But then, I remembered Italy's 1958 ESC (or what it was called back then) entry:

I think of this when it comes to Italian songs.

I do love a bit of Bjork myself. I loved this song she released in the early 90s.

I remember hearing the first time I heard of Björk, it was like a 5 second album review, half of it was mocking her name ('she's got a name like the sound of cream cakes being squashed'), followed by a few bars of 'Venus as a boy', but the name stuck somewhere in the back of my head.
Two years later, in the meantime, we got a satellite dish and I'd rather spent my afternoons with MTV instead of school works, one day they announced the latest release by an enigmatic icelandic act. The video was weird. I liked it. A pumping beat contrasted with soothing voice. Interesting, I need to learn more. Who's the artist? Björk? Wait a minutes, there was something about squashed cream cakes, I remember that.
The song was 'Army of me', and Björk is a favourite of mine ever since.
Tough the last releases were certainly somewhat really weird. But everyone can please the masses!

So this past weekend I went and saw Billy Strings and the gang put on two nights of absolute heaters. The highlight of the weekend for me was this one song, John Deere Tractor by Larry Sparks. Last year when Billy came to play at Garfield Park the set got cut short and this was one that got cut despite it being on the setlist. Hearing this played live last Saturday was a years worth of catharsis released and I would be lying if I said I didn't cry a little.

I’d forgot about them. Always liked the Lucky You song. Sugar Coated Iceberg was another one I loved from them.
