Yeah, but the messed-up project management at Nismo in combination with Torotrak's inability to provide a working hybrid system and a very ambitious (or shall I say unrealistic?) schedule made it look absolutely miserable, especially given the big fanfare. But what was possible is unknown. There must have been a reason Porsche started testing the 919 a year before they went racing. Speaking of project management, the 2014 ZEOD RC was botched up, as well, for the same reasons the GTR-LM ran into troubles. The very moment they had to remove the hybrid system, the car was doomed, because the complete concept fell apart. Talking about big fanfare, then-Nismo boss Darren Cox is one of a kind, too, to put it mildly... Not that I really expected them to seriously challenge Audi, Porsche and Toyota with their alleged 40 mio. $ budget, compared to the 100 mio+ the aforementioned were able to spend.

in this month of may, every year the Indy vibe strikes hard and ISO peaks at his very best!
watching several races and always loved the shape of the early 80s , this is a dream to race with one day the black "Bat mobile" Interscope 02 of 1981 , damn what a looker!
here is a nice story of the predecessor , a real WHAT IF and AWESOME visible shapes and great pictures for modding and for sale!
