This is my setup. The rig is a Playseat Evolution, which required a bit of welding to stop the panel holding the wheel from moving. I bought it a few years ago so this might be rectified on current models. The pedals are Thrustmaster with a load cell and adjustable springs, the wheel is the basic version of the Fanatec CSL Elite, the handbrake was bought from Banghood (posted from China, so delivery can take a few weeks) and the monitor is a curved 34”. As I’m incapable of doing a decent heal/toe, the wheel support doesn’t bother me.

Now time to bring that monitor closer to the wheel deck. Id need a telescope to drive with that distance

Hi to all, I reopen the thread asking for advice. Due to the "death of my wheel" without any way of repair, I am going to "pull the house out the window" (an spanish saying ) At the moment I have a desk and a gaming chair with my "deceased" T300RS Alcatara Edition. I am looking for a new cockpit, specifically the Sim Lab GT1 Evo linkI think Richard have one of this, so I would like to know your feedback Sim Lab send me a quote with the price of the rig in 371€, I think is a good discount in the original price 449€. For the seat, I'm going to use one from a scrapyard (Audi, BMW, Volkswagen, Volvo, Mini, Mercedes). And as my new wheel, my election is the Simagic Alpha Mini, it would be my first Direct Drive Wheel linkI appreciate any advice or feedback related to my new cockpit. I need to be well prepared for next year F1 Championship

Hi Ruben! I don't have the GT1, but a similar construction ( Motedis S Dream) and with the parts I ordered to customize it I paid more than your offer. I'm very happy with the rig because it is very sturdy, set up for me ergonomically and fits in my constrained space. If space was not a concern I'd have looked at a wooden rig from RockSolid. Reason: Looks and the aluminium profile rigs tend to "ring", for example I had to isolate my shifter with rubber spacers to avoid excessive noise from shifting reverberating though my rig at night.

I use a Playseat Challenge and I love it as it is cheap and comfortable.

I'd go for an ultrawide 49 inch one. Amazing for racing sims, ideal to watch films as they were meant to be displayed, perfect for work as it serves the same as a multi-monitor. Main thing to watch for, pick a hi res one if budget allows because otherwise I have readed that they are good for gaming but not so much for normal desktop use (text writing/reading etc)

This one is 42" LG TV Screen, its not a 4K screen, but it works well. In my last apartment I installed my rig at the living room because it was there a disposition to pit the TV at the wall, but in my new room it hasn't one. By the way I bougth a TV Rack (major used in shopping or commercial displays) and I put ahead my cockpit. It works well!
