Quali. Both me and Brian did a really good job in Q 3-4th dont think there is more to ask for Race. As usual i did somewhat mess of start lost some spots down to 5th, but poor Brian blew hes engine when will this bad streak end for him Got Jaques in front of me thinking this will be a hard task unfortunately he lost it at vale giving me 4 th position whitout a fight . Grant was hard on my tale for a few laps then i found myself in free air driving my own race . Was really surprise to see that i could stay within reasonable distance from top 3 ,thinking of the Qpace Pascal showed i thought he would run away with this one. So from there on i was pacing myself .Resisted abit when Pascal had done an error but with the pace he caught me and past me it was futile. Nice couple of corners tho. So when Gabriele did an ops my car was in a better position to resist and i manage to stay ahead of him until pitstop and come out ahead of him. From that point until the finnish i drove my Minardi like i stoled it to try to keep him behind, i have never driven so hard in my entire simracingcareer ty Gabriele u really keep me on my toes . Got 3rd feels like a victory Grats to Pascal and Dave to and thanks to all that makes this happen

I did quite a bit of testing here (much more than Magny-Cours), so I learned to set up the car from undriveable mess to acceptable standard. Still, I never felt comfortable around this track with the Ligier, even in comparison to Magny-Cours where the car felt a bit more stable even with much less testing. Eventually crashed out at Woodcote. If you want, I can try and help you out at Hockenheim with your Ligier, it should hopefully fit your car better than Silverstone did - given that you were lapped six times by me before you crashed out, you might want to be able to up your pace a little.

Anyway, I was hoping to have Juha beside me on the front row, because he had shown good single-lap pace in the McLaren (and because I am honestly afraid of how good Dave Miller's starts are) but it wasn't to be - so it was myself and Dave on the front row. I was hoping to park it there too, but my qualifying efforts bear more resemblance to those of John Watson rather than Ayrton Senna.
So after lots of practice, and setting lap times good enough for claiming a spot on the first row, I lined up... 9th. Very unworthy of the yellow helmet.
So I had to count on my strong point: the start. We'll ignore Magny Cours in that aspect. I dropped to 10th on lap 1. It was looking even less promising. My race pace was fine though, and by lap 12 I was in 5th.
From there on, I couldn't hope to do any better. The 4 cars ahead were too far and too fast. Instead, I did worse. I timed my stop badly so a returning Jaques got ahead of me. Trying to catch up, I spun, so instead of trying to take back 5th from Jaques I was now looking at Wilks' Leyton House in my mirrors. The green car kept me so busy I never noticed my teammate was closing in rapidly on the both of us. If it wasn't for Pascal asking if he was about to lap me, I probably wouldn't have noticed until I had Alberto right behind me.
The McLaren was the faster car, but Wilks is always strong near the end and with Alberto we had an exciting end to the race. On the last lap I had a bit exit at Chapel, parked it on the inside for Stowe, out of Wilks' view. He turned in, I was there, we collided, and Alberto took the final point.
Theoretically Hockenheim should suit the car more. I hope it does because the McLaren score board is looking quite low key.

Finally 1 point! I had been waiting for it 7 races and got almost mad at Imola for loosing a 3rd position.
Very interesting race. I could complete another one in the F1 series without any important mistake. I started the race awful, I burned the wheels a bit very stupidly, but I have to recognize that the car behaved better that on the practice. I had been practicing and setting up the less important details of the setup with the AI in an offline race, so that is why I could risk a bit more in some of my maneuvers to pass David Sabre, Juha Bos or Richard Wilks. Incredibly, I had practiced some of those maneuvers I really wasn't looking forward to do, but Jaques and Mick pushed me at about lap 10 so I decided to risk a bit and try to pass David Sabre.
I spent the rest of the race by thinking of the pit stop tactic I was going to use to climb a bit between the drivers. Unfortunately it happened the otherwise and lost a little bit of time in that I managed it to pass some people and finally got into the battle for points. I tried to push Richard Wilks waiting for the moment to pass, like I tried in Imola but the Imola one costed me a 3rd position... When I passed him (well, he spoon out) I was looking forward to pass Juha, but then Pascal run between us and for letting him pass it costed me a position because I went out and Richard was following him quite close. Very clever maneuver from Wilks . At the next and last lap I caught them up, so after the initial S I was using their slipstream to pass them. Richard wanted to pass too, and he pushed me a bit to the outside so by watching I had no chance to pass I raised my foot of the throttle and gave up. Suddenly Richard and Juha collided and I saw the chance to pass. End of the race. Congratulations Pascal, Miller and Anders!
I hope I didn't annoy anybody during the race and thank you very much for the big fun last Sunday !
