I never heard that they'd have different gearboxes in the cars. en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Lotus_98TThe gearbox came in two variants, a conventional five-speed, and a new six-speed. The six-speed was very much a development gearbox and was largely unreliable. While Senna opted to run only with the five-speed, Dumfries was tasked with testing the six-speed. Both gearboxes featured Hewland internals within a Lotus designed casing.[4]

But it surely is an interesting thing to think about and implement.

Well, it did drove with the 6 speed at adelaide: www.youtube.com/watch?v=exAFjMztEJgYou could have it as an option to have either 5 or 6 gears.

Likely #28 of Stevie Joe Hanson hey, that's mine It's no one's yet 😉 @kayo, Drivetribe. They're as reliable as Wikipedia at times. Don't worry we have a whole world of info and we'll be digging to depths we never have before in terms of physics.

Well, we’ve known about the Lotuses choice of gearbox for a while. We’ve also known about Brabham’s 7 speed H Pattern gearbox too.

I wonder... will the 1986 also include the engine issues that Lola Haas F1 had in the 86 season?

No, we're going to give everyone the same engine specs (Power, torque etc.) and just be done with it....
(Obviously i'm joking)

If we go forward with this... sign me up for the 7 speed Braby! Even and replacing the 3d printed 6 speed short throw shifter gate... with a short throw 7 speed shifter gate for the TH8A... ![]()

all i could see listening to this was, BIG Turbo's , spitting flames and burned there fat tires on the track , yes the rockets of 1986 cars hurling around the screen by ISO ... gotdamn what a promo this will give..
