Will points be awarded in both races 1 and 2 or on aggregate? Points in both races, but they will be half points for each one. So if you win race 1 you will get 7.5 points. Come second in race 2 you will get 6. So 13.5 in total for both races.

Sorry for the spinning car truck on last lap in Race #1, I couldn't stop it. Race #2, I was doing fine until my physical wheel started to come loose, to my surprise. That caused my #7 to shoot to the right onto the grass and gave me a nice flip or three.

1st race wasn't so bad.. 10th place...
2nd race... was fine untill i spun out in the second to last corner and was hit from behind.. which destroyed the suspension.. i had to give up.

I would like to apologize to David Jaques because I screwed his race over biiiig time. I don't know what the hell I did, but I lost it under braking and poor David paid for it with no fault of his own. I can't express how sorry I am...

I also need to apologize; to Natxo for contact under yellow in race 2. I should have been more attentive, especially since I really abused my brakes and tires in the opening laps. Will keep this in mind if we race these behemoths again.

Great race guys! First Heat: Good start, I was saving tires until the yellow to have more rubber to race to the flag but my plans didn't work. With Pascal in front I understood how difficult was to overtake. Got stuck there and ended up losing the second place in last lap. Great job by Jaques who was watching and was wise to capitalize. Second Heat: This time would be all in starting from 10th place. Got a good line in T1 could make some progress there. A lot of trucks side by side so I was just trying to see any opportunity to position the truck well and get momentum in the exits. There where some great fights with Jonathan, Petr, Coxon and Natxo. Nilsson and Jundt probably had no tires anymore and I could plan good exits into the main straight to not risk any contact or close call in T1. It was a lot of fun. It was shame some of you were involved in crashes in the first half of the race. Congratulations to the podium and finishers. Thanks ISO!! See you in Belgium. That will be a very different story.

these things happen in racing, thank you for the apology, and slowing to try to let me back thru, but the car/truck was hurt pretty bad. had hopes of being able to do a pit stop at the half way caution and see if i could continue, but the pace truck was so fast, even under caution i couldn't catch up to the pack, so race 2 was a lost cause.
race 1 was pretty fun, good racing with tiago and pascal. both were quicker than me, but i was lucky to sneak a spot while the dicing was going on. these trucks could be really fun, they just need the right state of mind.

Nilsson and Jundt probably had no tires anymore and I could plan good exits into the main straight to not risk any contact or close call in T1. So you missed my comment on the server? I think my right front tyre looked slightly better than in R1. I had a different problem: Three laps from the end, while thinking how to prepare myself for a defense, I notice that my fuel usage would possibly make me run out of fuel on the last lap(by like half a litre). So(a bit too conservative) I backed off and there was no chance to have a proper fight for the win of heat 2 Was fun though!

By the way, I wrote "fuel". I should've written diesel, right?

Well, technically "fuel" is a general term - if you really wanna differentiate, it's either gasoline or diesel.
So, I suppose "fuel" is still right, isn't it?

In racing, well in IndyCar terms. Especially during the Late 60's-Early 70's. There was a difference between Fuel and Gas.
Gas was Gasoline and Fuel was Racing Fuel or Methanol. However Gas was banned at some point following the MacDonald/Sachs crash in 64.
The differences aside from graphically obvious, i.e. Methanol's invisible flame, were that Methanol had a much higher ignition point and because it was alcohol it was very easily extinguished with water. Thus USAC mandated that all IndyCars use Methanol for fuel.
This concludes your History lesson that no one asked for....
