Don't think I've shared these here before. Photos I took during the weekend of the 1995 Marlboro 500 at Michigan Int'l Speedway. It was an amazing race, won by Scott Pruett after a fantastic last-lap duel with Al Unser, Jr. Only a 0.56 second difference at the line. Al Jr's backup car in the garage. Bobby Rahal's Miller Genuine Draft Lola-Mercedes. Note the nose camera. Danny Sullivan's PacWest Reynard in the pit lane. Stefan Johansson's Alumax Penske in the garage. Gil de Ferran's Pennzoil Reynard being wheeled through the paddock area. Christian Fittipaldi rolls through the pit lane. Michael Andretti's Lola in the pit lane. Teo Fabi's Reynard in the pit lane.

Man, awesome pics! I would've loved to be there (or Elkhart Lake, Milwaukee, Detroit, Cleveland, etc) but I've been on the west coast for too long. What a gorgeous, golden age of racing that was. I'd give anything to go back to that era. I attended Portland 1996, 1997, 1998, and 2001. 1997 was utterly spectacular...
