A place for us to share games that we remember and loved from our childhood. Here is a few of mine Grand Prix on Amiga Toe Jam & Earl on SEGA Megadrive. Nothing scared me more than the Dustbins that came to life! Super Monaco GP on SEGA Megadrive. Loved it when I beat my Dad and was able to be G. Ceara who turned up in the second season. I played all of these. Grand Prix 1 I played the PC Version. These personal computers of 80's weren't popular in Brazil and people played by Video Games. About Super Monaco GP, was a impressive game for its time. I didn't still beat the G. Ceará, but this is my objetive while I'm still alive!.

I was only playing this the other day on an emulator, great fun. I like the Isometric style in some games.
I always liked this one too which is in the same style as the game Wilks posted.

And the graphics were quite good for the era too, from what I can see!
On the same arcade style, the mother of all racing console, my first ever experience with a steering wheel and pedals in a game:

Another one of my early ones Flåklypa Grand Prix, a stop motion doll movie made game, brilliant in my view, and with racing as well. And another one, showing my young age...

F1 Built to Win - NES I think this was the one that I liked the most. The very first of the Gran Turismo genre. Sometimes I still feel like to play it. You start racing in a Mini Cooper D License and make your progress wining races, buying new parts for the car, or buying different cars once you reach a higher license. If you don't have enough money, it isn't a problem, you could still go to the casino and try your luck.
Cars - Mini Cooper - Vector - F40
After winning the GT career you are promoted to F1 to race the season.
Very complex for the time.

I know I'm still a child and it doesn't make quite sense that I post something here, but this was the first car video game I played as far as I remember. Huge insane fun evenings with friends playing this on two player mode.

The first racing game (kind of) I ever played:
Not even in fancy VGA. Had to live with Hercules...

Not racing but a couple of other game I used to play to death. Used to play Cossacks online against my cousins and late Uncle (Who I always lost too😂). I think it was the first game I properly played online. As for Rollercoaster Tycoon, still a great game.

NASCAR 2003 and GTR2 was probably what I remember playing the most when I was a teenager and first got into sim racing.

I had CPR before Indycar Racing 2 and had to move to the latter because CPR was undriveable. Indycar Racing 2 was a way better game.

In CPR I didn't got drive 2 turns avoiding spin. I had ICR2 too, I still play sometimes in dosbox (I got make my wheel works in Dosbox).
But CPR had impressive graphics and sound in 1997.

Full race distance Talladega Keyboard Omfg Here's another one: I took a ECE DosBox (the standard version doesn't work) which works with my G27 Wheel. It's so nice and amazing drive these cars by modern wheels. It works also with Indycar Racing 2. Talladega is interesting while you need drive by keyboard... Althougth drive there is so boring...

At these times (97~98) there weren't steering wheel available to buy (in Brazil just at main cities), I already could enjoy just when I bought (when I traveled to USA) a Thustmaster T2. I had a non-finished history with these old Papyrus Sims.
