Sorry to Adam for tapping the left rear at T1 lap 1, I was not expecting braking at that point. I enjoyed watching Dave and David dicing at the top though. I tried to stay out of the way.

My dad suffered an accident sawing wood in this morning, and initially the situation was under control. But my mom called me saying that the health mutual (in Brazilian Portuguese we say “Plano de Saude” didn’t allowed the surgery and I needed intervene. By the way I needed give up the race. I apologize this absence, and I come back to Spain GP! No need to apologise Bruno, it's perfectly understandable.

I'm happy to get away with two points from this race. Looking at the lap times, there was potential for a spot on the first two rows, but I wasted my best attempts. It got even worse when I ruined my start and dropped down to ninth. I got back into the points scoring positions, only to realise I'd underestimated tyre wear. I pitted, all went well and around lap 50 it looked like fifth place was in the bag with a reasonably healthy margin over Alberto and Brian. Any improvement was out of the question, the four guys in front were al lot faster. I hesitated: change tyres or not? A stop would cost me 17 seconds, exactly the lead I held over Brian, but Alberto was between us so I'd have to pass him again. I decided to favour track position. Bad idea. The car became a handful at lap 60 and Alberto got closer. With two laps to go, he was right behind me, and the only way to keep him behind me was if Brian would "keep him busy". I made my car as wide as possible, and Brian caught Alberto so my teammate had something else to do other than attack me. I barely kept both of them behind me, and Alberto did get the final point so it worked out well.
Well done to Dave for holding off the other Dave, surely a memorable win.

Qualifying: Went as I had expected qualifying 7th. Race: I had been struggling with making the tyres last therefore I started on B compound. A good start to the race and I was in 5th place. I thought that it would be difficult to hold that position and sure enough I fell back down to 8th place. That was more or less it as I finish in 8th place. I tried to catch Alberto at one point and got to within 1 second but then pushing too hard I missed my braking point for one corner and lost about 10 seconds. Then it was just a steady drive to the finish hoping that some cars in front wouldn't finish but that didn't happen so 8th place finish and still no points . Well done Dave Miller for hanging on to win. Well done David Jaques for a very close second place. Well done Gabriele for 3rd. Thanks for the broadcast, another good one.

That was a fun but difficult race Super flattered by Alberto's Pre race prediction, but I felt like a bit of a dull knife today, struggling to find pace and keep focus much of the time I Nearly came together with Ray when I left the pits because I didn't realize he was there , A little later I ran a little wide into the sticky gravel outside of turn 4 and fell out of the points Finally got some rhythm and caught the battling Mclaren pair right at the end. Too little too late! Really good drive for Juha!! and Iquino again! Congrats guys, I really wanted at least 1 of those last 2 points! There have been many rough days and rotten luck during chunks of this season so I was really happy to see solid races for Del Piccolo, Sabre, and Olsen to name a few. And what a start for T Hille! Great win for Miller holding off David Jakes! Good, clean racing

Thanks Brian, but my driving wasn't that good in the second half. After Pascal's second stop he was 4 or 5 seconds in front of me. By the end I was a minute behind. I forgot to mention it yesterday, but I also sent the car in reverse onto the escape road at Orelha on lap 50. I really should have stopped for tyres on that lap, they'd been on the car since lap 30. I set my fastest lap on lap 60, but that was more due to low fuel. If I'd stopped, I'd have left the pits right behind you, but on fresher tyres so I'd have stood a chance of overtaking you.
My strategy worked, but it would have been more comfortable had I chosen a different way.
As for my teammate, Alberto's approach is the opposite of mine. He starts behind me, and stays there for most of the race as I open a gap, but he's really quick towards the end, when I've dropped off my peak, and closes right up. He's got the hang of it and giving me something to think about.

Not that great a race for myself, but points are points, so let me give my own two cents.
Qualifying went as expected, pole position by almost a whole second.
As the race went underway, I learned the hard way what happens when a car with close to 100 more horsepower than yourself starts right behind you. I feel I had a very good start, but Miller just went beside me, waving cheerio as he went past into turn 1. I think it's save to say I was faster during the laps, but I couldn't get past on the main straight. I had the higher top speed, too, but as soon as I hit 300 kph, my engine said "no thanks" and I hit the limiter. Not to mention the amazingly well-done defending on Miller's part, that was some A-class driving there! I just could not get past anywhere, even if I had a huge run, that damn Williams was just too wide! The only move I felt was kind of rough was going into T1 on lap...20? or something, it felt something like Schumacher v. Barrichello at Hungaroring 2010 or so, but we're fighting for a championship here, so I'd almost guess that that sort of driving is fine. I mean, nobody got hurt, and it certainly made for a good bit of TV time!
Anyway, lap 9 was a big moment which happened so fast, I didn't even know what happened until I saw the broadcast. Basically Anders got past and into T2 we were both behind Jules, who Anders was already overtaking, but then he lost control by himself and I couldn't react fast enough to avoid contact. So yeah, I pushed Anders into the wall there, but I feel like even if I hadn't been there, the accident would've happened. Bad luck for Anders, but I got bitten in the ass at that same corner just twelve laps later anyway. I'm sure those that don't like me had a very happy moment when that happened, but I digress.
Yeah, lap 21 (or 22, I can't remember..), I lost it on the outside kerb in T2, pushing too hard, spun and punctured my left front while trying to not hit the wall. Changed tires, went back to P9, fought my way back to P4, then I saw Gabriele doing his stop and *just* come out ahead of me, so there was another fight. Again, great defensive driving from Gabriele, I have got no critical word to say about that. It was exciting as well, since I was on old tires and he was on fresh ones. Anyway, my second pit stop came early too, as I spun at the penultimate corner, still chasing the Jordan.. Yeah, f*ck me.
In the end, P4 it was. I felt like I could've fought for the win, but my mistake in turn 2 screwed me over there, and I can't do anything but take it on the chin, suck it up, and hope the race at Barcelona goes off better.
Congratulations to Dave Miller for that win, in the end it was more deserved than not!

A very good race from all. Enjoyed the broadcast with Alberto throwing in some really nice "colour" as Jason says. That ending was brilliant. Too bad there wasn't picture in picture as there was a good 5 or so laps that both battles needed full attention. Did Dave Miller make any mistakes at all? Surely he must have had a small one at some stage off camera? Good to see the season can still go on a race or two more without a champion decided.

A huge lack of practice saw me be a little bit unsure of my own pace but overall it went quite well.
Biggest mistake I made, for sure, was to stay on with Hards/Mediums after the first stop I made, the car became so light as the fuel burnt off that I couldn't get the Hards up to oprating temperature so pitted with 20 odd laps to go and went for Medium/Soft instead which saw me get into the 22's but obviously waaay to late to make use of it in general, but was nice to see that I had some pace even with only a base set to work with.
But having seen that, I'm hopeful for Spain, even though it's more of a power track than Estoril is, but the chassis could give me a slight advantage overall, at least that's what I'm hoping for for next time.
Congtratz to all participants, that was a difficult race to maintain focus in.

An absolutely cracking race last night for sure. I don't know how folks like Pascal and David Jaques and others get the raw speed they do out of their cars it's incredible how fast they are, I can't match it even with the advantage of the Williams. As a result I've been putting all my focus onto race setups and consistency in my driving and in this race that appears to have paid off. Qualified 3rd which i was very happy with, wasn't really expecting to advance much further then that. Got a great getaway and with a little help from Renault V10 power I was able to make a move on the brakes into T1, came out in the lead and then began the long hard fight to stay there for the next 71 laps. Certainly Pascal and then DJ did not make it easy for me, both of them were quicker in clear air and I had to defend more then a few times to stay in front and just focus on not making any mistakes. DJ in particular gave me one hell of fight right down to the last moment of the race, that the final gap at the line was around 2 tenths tells the story of what a close race it had been. Overall a fantastic race all round, certainly my favourite of this year and certainly up in my all time top 3 in 10 years of Sim Racing. Thanks to everyone who made it possible and glad I can keep the championship alive, even if I'm going to need to do something truly special to win it. Bring on Catalunya

Fantastic climax to watch, just AWESOME guys! personal only fun was a blistering start from 20th to 12 going into T1 to crash it in lap 5 into the tire barrier at the back of the track with no brakes....but no points for that. Many thanks to my friend Gabriele for the setup but damn this car was slow on the straights Noticed cracking updated BBC Camera angles by the great Brain Janik, great work mate !!!!!!!!! FD

I agree with you 100% there Dave, they must have found some tweak somewhere in their setup. Anyway I'm pleased that you managed to hang on to get the win. Sorry David but that is also a great 2nd place.
