Sorry Steve, had a slight lock up going into the first chicane that threw me a bit besides the apex.
Not sure why we bumped again, if you had straight-lined the chicane we'd have been fine and you could've kept the position if you wanted to.

Cool track and car combo. I had the best looking paintjob - ;-D.
No prep ofc. I finished. I am very happy with that.
Gratz all finishers - Gratz Thiago for P1.

I owe David Sabre an apology for glancing off his car while re-entering the track; I think the adverse camber caught me off guard. Then I threw away my race on the last lap in the same corner, lol, but thankfully not involving anyone this time. Thank you to Jonatan for broadcasting. Hope everyone enjoyed.

Great cars, very fun to drive. Had a great battle with Raul and Michael as well. Sorry to whoever I spun into at the final corner near the end of the race, it was not intentional.

Fun race - tough race thou. Had an off whilst leading and then another shortly after same turn... realised my brake pedal was crunching on something... had another off in last turn so I slammed my foot on it in hopes of clearing it and it did.. had fun with Jaques and Brian. Unfortunately me and Brian had a coming together. Not sure what happened but if I’m to blame I apologise.
Well done Thiago.. awesome pace man
Thank you Admins

Serious workout here, but I enjoyed.
First of all, I still don't get how you manage to run sub 1.58 laptimes. Okay, I loose a lot on the brakes, because my setup tends to work near digital and needs a very gentle foot in order not to lock up. Sitting a bit crooked tonight didn't help, at some point my left foot got a little numb. But things got off a bit weird on my end of the grid, first of all some dude delaying the start for an unhealthy portion, which had my engine coocking as things got away. Somehow my wheel setup was askew, as well, as the axes weren't split. Didn't help, too. So I got the race rolling somehow, the engine boiling, someone yelling "YELLOW! YELLOW!!" all the time, everyone woozing by left and right, me exiting the chicane second to last for the first time. Owing to the traditional first lap chaos, I gained a few positions, but as soon as I got in a position to attack other cars, I lost it on the brakes entering the chicane, and everything won was lost again. I'm lucky I didn't take anyone with me. Well, back to the begining! The guys fighting in front of me made it easy to close the gap again, and when two guys in front of me got a little held up with each other out of the omega, I saw a chance. I got on the inside braking into Jochen Rindt, but then I got tangled on the left when entering the corner, which sent me broadside into the barrier. Okay, a little bent, but didn't feel bad, so back to square one. I made up a few positions when people lost orientation, car was feeling good, I was a little faster than the people in front of me. Then disaster struck again, when someone spun on Valvoline straight. I anticipated the right way to avoid him, but the car doesn't like to hectic manoeuvres. I was able to avoid a spin, but now the right side was a little bent, as well. Dang it! But the car still felt somewhat good, so as long as a wheel is turning, I decided to move on. I was about as fast as the guys in front of me, sometimes I could make up a little, another time I lost a little, and some still lost orientation. A little distracting is the guy telling you about flags and cars around you, because he is always a little early with blue flags and a little late with cars beside you. That was a bit annoying, and once a group trying to lap me got into a little melee, from what I was able to tell from the mirrirs. Not sure if I had something to do with that, if so, my apologies. In the last laps, I had a blast trying to get in a positio to attack Bruno, but then, the race was over a little to early. Finished, Top 20, that's fine. There are far worse ways to spent a sunday evening!
The very fine physics are adding to the fun! If you get the entry right, you can perfectly surf on the limit between over- and understeer, very natural, very logic, very rewarding. Balance is beautiful when you're on the right side of the envelope, you clearly feel when you left some behind or are overdoing things. The true challenge is braking (and there I still struggle a little in AMS). Way to go!

No problem Jason. It was a lackluster race for me and I'm sorry to anyone that I bumped into. I can't remember who it was going around the outside of me at turn 2? (the first long right hander) but I guess it was always going to end with us colliding, if its my fault then sorry. François, I was trying to let you back through after I felt that I had forced the overtake on you, sorry for the mis-understanding.
Michael, I moved the brake balance more to rear to avoid locking up the front tyres and reduced the brake pressure to the minimum, that helped a lot with lap times.

Thanks for letting us know Dave, have a safe trip - I guess to visit the missus? Sort of, Was running her home. I'd hoped to get back in time for the the start but got delayed leaving yesterday so no chance of doing a 1600km round trip and still being fit to race Glad to see that it looks like it all went well, will check out the Broadcast tomorrow

Damn that was fun Was clinging to the last step of podium as hard as I could after Grant reeled me in near the end. Unfortunately clung on a little too long? as he had a good run on me and I tried to thread the needle side by side through that killer kink. We ended up on the same piece of track and had a big collision into Bosch Kurve. Dazed from the impact I had no Idea where I was as my car continued to spin and I had another impact with Grant. Not a proud moment of heroics gone wrong Grant sportingly let me by after, as I wondered if he needed to. The battle raged on 'til the finish with CCski looking to get us both. And, my 3rd place became 5th For the record, We successfully threaded the kink needle side by side on next try Obviously dont like having crashes or losing fights, BUT damn that was fun Looked just as intense all through the field in the broadcast, good sh!t Grats Thiago, Anders, Jaques PS. Reeal Good physics tweaks!! Maybe need more damage? I prob shouldnt been able to finish haha

It is hard for me to understand the differences in this new version without drive both one after the other. The only thing I can tell is that the car is faster now. It suits great to my Grandma driving style BTW! It doesn't like overdriving at all and it loves to carry momentum with early braking. Qualify Grant had not put many laps on server and neither had I. I had no idea how fast the car would go in qualify pace and I was overdriving a bit in my first attempts. I was getting nervous and my pedal control (legs) wasn't working as before . I new I had an edge over Grant but I had to put it together. It worked! Race Due to the start been held for almost a minute my engine started to overheat. The engine went up to 110C and even having a nice jump I wasn't full rev to not risk to blow it out. Live today and fight tomorrow. Grant had an issue at Texaco turns and spun, very unfortunate to be sincere, that could had been an incredible fight. Jaques was not too far behind, only 2.3s but he also had an issue at last turn and Anders took the 2nd spot and that the way it went the remaining 18 laps. Just hit my marks every lap, no risk when lapping cars and that was it. Beautiful fight between Francois and Whited, best moment of the broadcast in my opinion. Congrats to everyone who participated!! Full grid!! Awesome! Congrats to Anders and David(you knew something would happen between Brian and Grant, very well positioned when it matters) Thank you Jonatan for the broadcast!! You guys are bringing it to a new level with the live camera tweaks. See you next race! The mod - I enjoy everything you guys put together. We are very thankful. (About the mod, I won't comment about physics because I don't know anything about it, I never drove a car on track in real life, but I agree with Brian about the damage. Wouldn't have to be visual but I just think it is too forgiven and doesn't reward a clean driving. The engine seems to be able to take a lot. Of course, to suggest is easy and I have no clue about how to do it in the MOD)

[...] Michael, I moved the brake balance more to rear to avoid locking up the front tyres and reduced the brake pressure to the minimum, that helped a lot with lap times. I actually had brake pressure reduced to the minimum, and it certainly helped, but while I drove Q with a 60.5/39.5 setup, I went back to a more conservative 61.5/38.5 for the race. Locking up the rear is even worse than locking up the front. Problem on my end is my pedals supply 100% braking pressure a good deal before the end of brake pedal travel. And my double-clutch technique definitely needs some serious improvement! Towards the end of the race, I finished braking for the Hella-S and gave the throttle another good whack before turning in to stabilise the car. No brakes at that point! Go figure, and that with cars that benefit so much from good braking...

This new update is really great, tires are great what strikes me is that the standard race tracks in AMS outperform conversions with more feedback, like this beautiful Osterreichring Nice fights and really old school enjoyment, just nice and tight racing, but what do you want when you have a roaring mr whited after you, you go secretly overdrive and closer to the marbles ... in lap 22 i believe i went against the grass and scraped up the guardrail like a magnet, the whole 2nd right damn corner, when i finally painted the whole guardrail, got in surprise a drivetrough penalty, man how furious i was, okay 23 laps and storming into the pits to redeem the penalty also a pit limit, so yes race over and DQ. Have enjoyed it anyway!
