I'd like to borrow the second Larrousse(#30) again after my outing with it at Silverstone. OK

Having a bit of wheel trouble atm, since last windows update,my thrustmaster is no longer recognised in control panel, have uninstalled drivers re-installed etc but something is blocking the driver install,anti-virus turned off etc and still no luck,i am still working on it now so hope to solve it by the race, although have not been able to setup the car yet because of this ongoing problem

Steve I sometimes have that problem with my Thrustmaster shifter when I unplug it, my PC won't recognize it unless I put it into recovery mode (The TH8A has a little button hidden that if you hold it while plugging it in, it goes into recovery mode) - Does whatever wheel you use, by any chance, have such a button as well?

Have not found one yet Pascal, have tried bootloader method and everything else so far it just shows up as thrust master FFB wheel in devices and printers, then when I go in game AMS it does not recognise the pedals at all,but weird thing is it works ok in rFactor 2 ?

In AMS there is by default a profile for the T300 and other wheels, have you tried loading it? Weird that the game does not recognize it, maybe try to create another temporary player profile and see if works then?

In terms of setup I'll provide my setup for this race for you Steve, it's quite stable so should be ok for you if you do get it sorted

Another bad race for Scuderia Ferrari with Mike not being able to start the race and my race ending early. I guess that Ferrari will be looking for new drivers next season. Qualifying went ok as I set my fastest lap of the track to start 9th about what I expected. The race start was ok moving up to behind Del Piccolo who caught me out by braking early for the first hairpin, I managed not to hit him but my front tyre blew (one small lockup and the tyre blows ). Crawled back to the pit for new tyres but really that was race over, a bit later coming out of the last turn the rear snapped away and the car hit the inside barrier, I couldn't do another full slow lap with damage therefore I retired the car. Watching the broadcast now, thanks guys. Congrats to the winners whoever that will be.

Blew my front right brake after 25 laps. Cooling was max 12 and pressure lowest on 60%, guess the wrongly set 55:45 bias wrecked them.

Thank you SANTOS! Well done. My championship is over. Since the summer break it's only been a fight for me to try and finish second, which I've not managed since. Great job. I'm done.

Calm down Pascal. As we’ve said before, the forum isn’t for venting and if anybody has any issues with other drivers lodge a protest.

Huge apologizes to Cz, I think I destroyed his race, it wasn't my intention, sorry .
Could not practice because I was sick at the start of the week, then had two important exams and a lot of homework and on the weekend I was not able because I was out. I found incredibly some time this morning and prepared the Q setup in qualify. The car behaved awful and the track didn't help, so I finally got bored of trying to make it and without damage left, just to stop annoying the top drivers and the other ones. Again, like always, thank you for the race , preparing and broadcast and sorry to those I did annoy, will try more and a better perform next time. Sorry again Cz.

Stayed cool, kept myself out of trouble, and gave way as much as possible where possible and finished 11th.

Did not practice at all and missed qualifying (woke up too late lol) but did relatively well. Moved to 15th ahead of Chacon by lap 1 but on lap 2 I went too deep at T1 and flew over the kerbs, which somehow deflated my LF tire. I lost so much time getting back to the pits and the car would not turn.
Anyway, after that I was able to match or better Kayo's laptimes to keep from getting lapped again. Eventually the Ilmor engine failed a little after the halfway mark.

This was a mess. Can't find a better word. I spun 5 or 6 times and despite having a setup which suited me this morning, I never got the car to work in the race. I've released the car, I'd rather give someone else the chance to drive it. I'll end the year in a Larrousse.

Anyone know what happened to Bruno Pagiola? Only later in the race noticed there was only Pascal racing for Tyrrell Also, memo to myself: Start with near neutral brake bias or I won't make it to the halfway point. But I had recurring issues with T1&T2, where the back end due to low wings didn't stick well and I nearly lost the car a few times(as I did "testing" the limits during warm-up), de-accelerating into T1 was partially a struggle and I locked up more than once. Guess that's where I overheated my brakes quite a few times trying to follow Thiago's example and try to keep up with the faster cars(but in the end, the Dallaras and Benettons were too fast for me as I had a pace slump after lap 14 aswell and nearly crashed a few times before my front right disc died on the run to T7). Couldn't take a tighter line over the kerbs as the car didn't take the idea well and nearly "noped" out a few times.

P9 in Qualifying. 0.8 sec. away from Brian Janik. I'd call that a succes.
Racetyre was Medium - all diffs @ 0% lol. I had a perfect start (practiced) and was P4 after T1.
Everybody in front and behind me had a one or two second faster racepace. After a couple of laps I was P8 and rightfully so.
Kept it together. Low 1.30's/high 29's Should've finished 8th. Adam Hackmann in P9 was far away. Everybody in front was faster.
Lap 20 I spun the car in the fast right left at the end of sector 2. Flat tyre. 45 laps to go I decided to try hards to avoid a second pitstop.
BIG MISTAKE. The car was undriveable for 3/4 of a lap. Impossible to keep up an operating temperature. Could ve pitted again - didnt do it. Paid for it.
Rather violent torque and soapy tyres after T1 and the car went.... FUCK.
Very much looking forward to Suzuka. Gratz all finishers - very demanding track. Awesome live commentary.

Sorry to express my opinion here, I understand your frustration Pascal, but I think you overestimated everything about Santos in that breaking point. With all respect to Santos too, you took a big risk in following him in that straight and you should had pulled to the right much sooner. I hope all the best and to see a great fight for this tittle in the remaining races. Cool down Pascal. This is race, it happens. Use as a lesson learned for the future. PS: For everyone I watched the broadcast and dudes!!, I wish I was there!!!! What a fun race!!!!!! I hope I can join you guys at Suzuka!

interesting race, challenging track. grats to miller, del piccolo, and nilsson.
my race was pretty eventful, but quickly turned into a fight back. vadim was a rocket off the line, a lap or two of dicing and i made it back to my qual place with a sizable gap to anders. it wasn't long and del piccolo was closing on my heels and got thru. my setup didn't really like a full load, and the dirty air was sketchy, it was much better on a lighter tank so was looking forward to the end of the race. dropped back to clean air and did my best to follow. then everything changed, short story, exiting the high speed chicane a lap car was unclear where they were going to be, right side of the track, then moves left gets to the middle and starts to move back, collision and loss of front wing. a long pitstop, and a long rest of the race fighting with a damaged car.
with that said, big thumbs up to Tomáš Matoušek, you did a great job of making it clear where you were going to put your car
thanks for the broadcast!

Btw: I also had a hairy moment with one lapped car that instead of just following the ideal line, tried to move over when I was going to move to make the pass accelerating out of a turn(before the double right of 13&14). I nearly shoved that car like snowplow infront of me. I think the general rule is to just follow the racing line and let the lapping car make the move. If someone is already sniffing your exhaust fumes, don't make sudden moves and/or brake abruptly. Sometimes, it just makes it harder to "read" another driver's behaviour when getting lapped. That was also the case when following a lapped car on the straight, getting the tow and heading for the inside line to complete the pass the way one should, but suddenly nearly getting cut off at the apex. So basically hold your line, stay predictable, avoid sudden braking and don't forget to take a glimpse at the rear view mirrors from time to time to check what could be there I admit I might've cost some a bit of time too, but I tried to let the lapping happen at suitable points on the track, such as S/F straight or between the "sketchy" Nissan chicane and Caixa. After all, at that point in time, I was still in a battle with a Benetton and two McLarens, I couldn't award too many gifts

I'd follow Juha's thoughts about the race- mess with no pace, going backwards with laptimes the more practice I got Honestly didn't feel like driving that race at all, only result I was hoping was to finish the race. So I got a little surprised when gained 6 places at the start, but in the other hand I jumped between drivers faster at least 2 seconds than me. everyone was catching me quickly so there was no chance to defend my position- I was slow on the main straight but even slower mid-corners. Al- don't worry about my race at all- this is a concrete filled car, you can't hurt it with the nimble MP4/6. No offence at all
I watched the broadcast later that night not knowing the results and it was more eventful than expected. Dave avoiding tyre blow when spinning and still keeping his lead was masterful
Then Pascal was to lap Portfirio who made a gap on the outside, but then suddenly the Footwork moved back to the left when under braking All I can say is when lapping car is approaching me I don't mind loosing a second or two to make sure it passes clearly- safety first
Love that live commentary by Alberto and Jason- two different ways of expressing the action on the track makes these broadcasts very colorful
