No reason for this. I understand but at the same time I know I wouldn't be as quick as you expect due lack of preparation. No? Let's see it. You just want to run with the pack in circles? That's fine, grab my car. I have anyway lots of stuff to do for the league while preparing the 1978 USAC mod for next year. Go ahead, ask for it and you get it, promise.

I appreciate a lot the offer, honestly. Yeah, run in circles, that was the idea. It has been hard to race lately so any opportunity is a big prize. I had agreed with my wife to tell her if I would race tomorrow by today 20:00 CET. That was the deadline for her to ask her boss so she could work overtime tomorrow so I could race. There go my chance. Anyway, to all the participants, I'm sorry to express my frustration in my first post. Our only task is to keep the car in the grey and have a good time meanwhile the admins take the heavy load to make it happen. I'm sorry Jason.

I wish it had been a lesser car that became free and us be able to welcome you to race Thiago, I understand your frustration. One of the most difficult balancing acts I have done and seen others do is manage series with historic editions car and try to level the field. It NEVER, ever, does work to a 100% - and then we always take the blame from those who feel unfairly treated. Sometimes I wish we would just run league editions first come-first serve instead of making our lives so complicated, but then again if I wanted that I could aswell run offline with the AI.

I'd have asked aswell, but same story as Thiago.. ;( How much better is the '74 version, more grip and better aero? Guess I'll ask "Johnny Aces" if he wants some company tomorrow

Same as the 73. Compared with a 72 or a Kingfish it has less weight and slightly lower CoG, also slightly wider tracks. I would say that it is around .4 of a second per minute quicker than a 72.

Oooh, that's quite a bit still. Wait... hold on... now I question myself how I was allowed to drive Krisiloff's car earlier, wasn't that a '73-spec Eagle at Pocono?

You're assuming that you and Thiago are being judged as performing the same in these cars, which may not be the case. If you have a specific concern about the series, please PM Alberto or myself.

Just a "by the way" here for anyone, I have no problems/issues, only surprised to find out about those Eagles(73/74) retrospectively and having actually been granted one back then. I assumed those models were still slightly different from one another. Anyhow, as I said, unless something happens last minute, I'll go ask Jonatan. I'd still love to follow the race(s) closely

72,73, and 74 all have the same downforce but not the same efficiency. The 74 is slightly more aerodynamic than the 73, the car had a narrower cockpit (Hard to see but you can detect it in pictures of the era) that had less drag and allowed cleaner flow to the rear wing. However, the jump between a 73/74 and a 72 is much bigger than between a 73 and a 74. 72 has more weight and different track width. Anyway, you were allowed the car based on how you perform at ovals, were you are usually not so quick as in road courses. You qualified mid pack and your quickest laps in the race were good but not alien like. Thiago on the other hand got pole and was leading alone at Indy until his disco on a Kingfish/Firestones, which speakes volumes about what he can do with these cars. You got a good car at Pocono, raced fairly but did not run away easily with it. That is the whole point of all this car allocation sudoku, that eats so much of our time ...

Thanks Alberto, I appreciate the detailed explanation I didn't dissect the mod or pictures as a one-offer, so I didn't know how different some cars were. I guess I should maybe look harder into '78 next year And you "nailed" it with the write-up there. Ovals I do well, but not quite at the max performance of a car. On certain sims, I also overwork my tyres there... But thanks again Alberto

If Pagiola doesn't turn up until race start, can I take over his car tonight? I'd leave if he joins.

Same here, which comes as a completely surprise at my 'speed'. And I think I caused a yellow, because I prefered to hold on the black, sorry for that

I don't understand why did the game send me up to P2. It was nice, though Anyway, a possible DQ was solved by a DNF. Connection lost, even after applying the fixes that used to work before (mostly). This only happens with AMS...

Okay, just not my day. Heat 1 ended with an engine failure, just as I was to pull into the pits, Heat 2 ended in the wall, after my wheel decided not to work when I entered the grid, so I had to start from the pits, giving me half a lap of disadvantage to begin with. I did a few setup tweaks between the heats, which helped getting things in the right direction, I was trying to close the gap to Bruno, but got stuck behind Raul, who was slower but a lap ahead of me. When I was lapped, I wanted to exploit the situation to have a jump at Raul, but then I lost my rear in the kink and that was it.
A bad day is a bad day is a bad day...

, 6 laps till the end and i have no better idea than push the engine till 9000 rpm. Anybody has a better plan for the weekend than watch a race while grilling something in your car?? Even though I had lots of fun tonight. Thanks to the everyone, but specially to the admins for the fun tonight, so see you in Australia!

Trenton is just the best. What a track it is, it's like going through Eau Rouge continiously for 100 laps. Had a very good run in both races, felt great to be battling for lead again, it's been a while. But while battling, I noticed that I had way more downforce than those around me, so as soon as I got to the lead, I got freight-trained and was 4th half a lap later. As the tyres wore down, I couldn't battle as hard anymore and lost ground. Eventually made a mistake just as I had gotten around Ray on worn tyres and got so loose I couldn't recover. Race 2 was then a bit less eventful. Made a good start, and chased Jukka for at least 90 laps. A great chase, but it was too little too late when I finally got the upper hand on lap times. All in all, one 4th place is not too bad, but would have rather had two podiums, which wasn't far off. Huge congrats to Czesariusz for doing all he could to catch David, and huge congrats to David for being a class-act all year long! Cheers!

Great fun, great racing! Was great to be back racing among you guys on such a great track! Had some fun battles, especially with Ray in R2.
Congrats to CC on the Wins. Congrats to Jaques on the champ. Truly deserved.
Thanks to all that turned up, thanks to Jonatan and Dave for the broadcast. Great job as always!
EDIT: Think I should clear up what happened in R1, I spun to the infoeld but I stayed there between the mesh fence and the pit wall, so it was quite funny when seeing myself ram cars out of the way on the broadcast. I think its obvious the game misplaced me as I didn't receive any damage.
