Im out of this one. My internet provider had some issue so im out of this one.
BTW:What you did with Lightning physics guys? Im very frustrated after couple laps in Michigan? As i was very happy in Texas i was competitive in warmup against even the Cosworth cars here thew car is simply scrap. I couldn't find with the same setup from Texas the same feeling. Very lazy, without grip in the corners and on the straight without ability to drag so i was not able to catch anybody. Any tips what to do in the setup to make it competitive?

The physics are the same except the draft strength when following another car, which is weaker now.

Race got messed up with that yellow flag period. Somehow AMS thought I lapped the entire field so I had to pit for 10s. Looks like there were a few others that got screwed.
And that was in addition to getting screwed over with the timing of the yellows as I had just pitted, basically lost a 2 laps there.
Congrats to the podium. Great track though, always loved Michigan.

what happened? -1 lap AND 10sec stop go penalty after caution/restart. car infront was yellow until the pace car pulled off to the pits, then msg "warning following wrong car", 1 sec later green flag and penalty.

Me too, no idea what happened. Need to look at it over the week. I believe we overtook the safety car right when the yellow was thrown and before it exited the pits, and it kicked back on us later.

yellow was flashing for most of a lap until we crossed the line and picked up the pace car around turn 2

I was behind it the entire time and it gave me that penalty. I was told to stay behind Mikey, so that's what I did. Then when the SC pulled into the pits, it told me to stay behind Jacob but he was much farther back. Crossed the s/f line and that's when it gave me the penalty.

Well, that was sure an interesting race. Starting with qualifying, my wheel was not working properly and took me a second to get it working. Despite the trouble I started 5th and was happy with the effort. After we took the green flag after DJ Disco had his set, I decided just to run my own race and see where I end up. Turns out that I ended up front after I had pitted and a yellow had come out. I was surprised to see how many got screwed over because of it. That being said, I put my focus forward. I passed Brian for 2nd and eventually Jacob for 1st! I never expected to lead my first laps toady but I'm happy it happened because I learned some valuable lessons. One being, focus on your own S*@#! I was a little worried about the guys that were coming back through the pack and got a bit anxious about everything going on. In all that I forgot to disable the repairs for the next pit stop. By the time I had realized what I had done, I was cursing myself but just happy to still be in the Top 10. From there I had a really awesome battle with Little Al that ended when I thought I had the testicular fortitude to send it around the outside. I ended up in the wall like a dingus. From there I was just trying to manage the understeer to walk away with something. Big Al was closing but I was lucky to have just enough of a gap to pull out 7th. Despite potentially throwing away a win, I'm really happy with this result with everything that happened. Now, it's on to Mosport but we all know what comes after that and I can't wait being a local. Thanks for the broadcast and restarting the race when DJ Dicso had his fun. Can't wait for the next one!

Qualifying my car flipped over on the exit of turn 2 therefore I would have to start last. I thought that I had a decent race setup and that's how it turned out. At the start of the race I was able to make good progress through the field and I was running just behind the leaders when the discos happened, and then I had the lead for a few laps before the race was stopped. That was painful. The second race again my car was very fast and was able to work my way back through the field and into the lead, taking it easy on the run to the first pitstop, I only changed right side tyres but Cez was in front of me. Then yellow flag happened and behind the pace car there was a few slower cars then Cez and me in 1st and 2nd. On the restart I was demoted to 8th and Cez was behind me in 9th how did that happen, then we got 10seconds stop and go penalties. Its not possible to see where the pace car is in the pitlane as you approach the start/finish line, we could have been in front of the pacecar I don't know. After that at the next pitstop someone was in my pitstall, there must be enough room not to share pitstalls. After that just drive to the end of the race feeling very deflated. A race to forget.

Me too, no idea what happened. Need to look at it over the week. I believe we overtook the safety car right when the yellow was thrown and before it exited the pits, and it kicked back on us later. A lot of people were coming and going in the pit lane when the yellow happened to be thrown, so there is that to consider also. Sometimes the timing of events is less than ideal, and the game ends up getting confused. I know that's cold comfort, but sometimes this is just the way it goes. At least issues like this are a much rarer occurrence now than they used to be in the other league.

At last I managed to finish a race! Better still, I found a pretty comfortable setup so my only concern were saving fuel. So hopefully I manage to get back to back finishes next round at Mosport!

I like winning! Even though this was a weird one. I mentioned it in the post-race interview, but I want reiterate my POV of the caution: The caution came out as I was just about alongside the pace car when it pulled out on track. The yellow flag kept blinking so I took the wave around. No other cars pulled into the pits or pulled out ahead of me for the rest of the caution period. As we were going back to green I noticed that I had been told to stay behind the pace car, not Jason White, who I had been directly behind since I drove out of the pits. Since I was not told that I was ahead of a car that I should be following, so my nerves were calm. It was when I got the message that I was accelerating too early that I realised that I was a part of this bug where the games randomly tells someone to leap-frog everyone and take the lead under caution. I have seen it happen before in rFactor but never been a part of it before IIRC. In any case, I shouldn't have been leading anyway, I'd been hovering around 10th before my pit stop, emerged out of the pits maybe in 8th. Shit happens, we've been struggling with this for a while now. No one's at fault, the caution was because of someone's technical misfortunte (not a silly crash or so). We race however we can. ANYWAY, was pretty happy with my driving this time around. Used a setup that Jaques developed ahead of TWS that I found too loose that time, but it worked perfectly now. Those I raced against I felt I outraces, at least in the long-run. Michigan/TWS are not my favorite tracks to drive on, but I think the physics updates of 1.2 worked great, passing and racing others is now much more satisfying and immersive than before. And now, Mosport! Gonna be great!

You can't deny though that the game simulates perfectly the enraging USAC officer's incompetence of those years At least at Indy, the most important race, there will be no such nonesense interfering with the race We keep looking at this and testing ideas, I believe we have now despite the odd fuck up from the game the best oval racing we have had in many years, and we will keep refining it.

Car was a good 20mph slower than most everyone else, save for a few others. I surprised myself with how "well" I actually qualified. When the race Proper got going I found myself in a sorta Twilight Zone. Everyone in front was pulling away from me, and I was pulling away from everyone behind me. So I settled into a spell of loneliness until the leaders eventually caught me.
When the caution came out, I was either in 3 and 4 or just came out of 4, When I crossed the line I had taken the Caution, as I passed the pit exit the Pace car was just coming out. It told me to stay behind Jacob, According to the track map he was a half a lap ahead of me. So I kept in it to catch him. As we came around the next lap in the middle of 1 and 2 it suddenly told me I was ahead of the car I was supposed to be following. But it never did tell me who it was I was supposed to be behind, until the Pace car finally caught me and it told me to stay behind it. I slotted in behind the Pace car just ahead of Mikey. I tried to hang back a bit to avoid inadvertently passing the Pace car before it was fully in the pits. The Pace Car was fully in the pits when it suddenly told me I was ahead of the car I should be behind. I kept accelerating for the start but as Mikey and I got to the line, nothing happened. I expected an aborted start, so I started to slow, Mikey and I were well PAST the Start Line when it suddenly went Green and I was off the throttle with no Boost Pressure and the whole field bearing down on me.
Initially I thought the penalties were my fault for accelerating too early, but as the race wore on and I saw who all was affected, I realized those penalties were decided well before the restart.
I would like to know what brought out the caution to begin with, the only incident I was aware of during that time was Simon blowing his engine. Which doesn't bring out cautions.
Managed to bring the car home without a scratch on it, so I suppose that means it was a decent race.

Perhaps someday I can finally manage to win one of these things. This one especially stung because the car was absolutely on rails. Jason and I worked a lot on the setup for this one, and I knew Saturday night that I had something really special.
I too was caught up in the black flag mess after the first yellow. I stayed out the full number of laps allowed before serving my penalty hoping USAC would change their mind. After the final stop I tried my hardest to catch the lead but ran out of laps. Congrats to Jacob on his win.
I want to apologize to everyone for the first ragged start before the restart. The green came much later than I anticipated, and I missed a gear. Not so good a thing to do when you are leading the field. My apologies to Angel as well for a not so clean pass on lap 20.
On to Mosport! Always happy with a second and glad to get back some points.

Perhaps someday I can finally manage to win one of these things. This one especially stung because the car was absolutely on rails. Jason and I worked a lot on the setup for this one, and I knew Saturday night that I had something really special. I felt the same yesterday. I had a good setup, Alberto came up with something even better and it was all falling into place. I had a good start at the first attempt and was in front when we stopped. I did even better on the second run, led again, and I felt I had it all under control. I then ran wide, lost a load of places, and then the mess occured.
And even without that, I doubt I'd have won it. You were quick and so was Alberto, who unlapped himself from me and I had no answer to it.
It was very frustrating, but at least I finished in the top 5 again. I hope this car will like turning right as much as it does turning left at Mosport.

A sum of small errors hindered my run. With the car hurt and Mr. Saber flying low, I couldn't fight and for the mistakes I made, 11th place was a prize. I apologize to Angel May for contacting the pit's, a gross mistake of mine. Thanks to Cezarius for the setup, it was great. Congratulations to Jacob, brilliant race. Congratulations also to the broadcast of the race, which is increasingly more engaging and professional.
