Started higher than I expected since I probably had less than 20 laps here before qualy but made some last minute tweaks to get the car more stable.
Had a nice fight with Adam, David S, and Petr in the first third of the race. After the first pit stop, I just cruised home and made sure not to kill the engine. Still close to the edge of crashing though, especially with used tires, so a 4th place is more than I dreamed. I honestly didn't expect to finish here.

I couldn't find a clean way past you.

After hitting the first lap, puncture the two rear tires, and return two laps behind, all that remained was to try to survive until the end and collect the dead. Finishing in P8 was much better than I expected !!

Thanks for the Broadcast. I watched it after I was out of the race. Well done Mikey, that was a top class performance. David and Brian, good job.

Sorry David. I was on the inside lapping Bruno, had to go for it because of the speed difference. However I was totally blindsighted by the pitwall, when you came out I had no where to go or time to react. No Problem John, I couldn't see any cars on the track as you say because of the pitwall. Its just one of those things that happen. A fraction of a second either way and we would have been ok. That was nuts bad luck, for both of you!!!

I'd rather lose a race driving fast enough to win it, than win a race driving slow enough to lose it. On the other hand, I just think it's easier to put in the effort to finish as high as you can than it is to be happy with second or third. I'm very happy with my driving yesterday, but very frustrated with the result. One blip on the red line over the crest on the back straight, and you are out. May not had the potential to reel in Grems, but felt very good to be up there on merit.
Fun race! Good battles along the way. Looking forward to Indy now!

From my point of view there wasn't much going on. I passed Little Al into the first turn and that was my only on-track overtake for position in the entire race. Al's pitstop was faster than mine, but he went off when I was chasing him. After that, I just picked up places as everybody else retired. I got up to 4th, half a minute behind the car in front, 2 laps over the car behind, so I lowered the rythm. Then with 5 laps to go the, engine let go. I suppose it wasn't a surprise after missing 2nd gear about half a dozen times. I should be glad it actually lasted that long and I still get some points for my efforts (*), because looking at the DNF's, I realised mine was the last Cosworth engine left in the race. Now comes the most important race of the season. Or the two most important races if your name is Jason White. The car should do well there, I hope its powerplant will actually last the distance this time. (*) Note for Vadim: You can pull of the same trick in F1. If you cover 85% of the winner's distance, and still retain a top 6 place, points are yours. You should try it some day, I'm sure you'll enjoy the experience.

It was a fun start to the race and then a few mistake creep in and I fell back a bit, then a couple of spins and I was towards the rear of the field. Made my first pitstop ok but on the exit back to the track there was a car on the inside and that hit me in the rear so hard that I was flying over the armco and out of the race. I guess that it was a racing incident. The car was a nightmare, snapping all over the place, if that car is based on an M23 then I don't know how it was so bad. Did you notice the rear camber settings in the default setup? I found my car, which is a copy of yours, to have a rear end which wanted to go everywhere but straight on. Once I realised what was going on there, it became more manageable.

Argh, that wasn't good at all. First I lost the car on the bump right before braking point at the end of big straight, touched the grass and the car flipped in the air. No damage, surprisingly. Later, went wide on the slowest turn, again touched grass and car got stuck. As it was a really dangerous place to be and high probability of causing a major accident trying to reverse and return, I decided to retire.
