So is it unlimited laps or limited to 12 laps?
So that means we should drive back to the pits after doing our hotlap(s), correct?
Thanks, Bill

It’s limited to 12 laps and you have to drive it back to the pits.

For the 1986 Race report. No pressure then.... Remember too everyone needs the tire stack update.

Had minimum wings (1/1) and the car drove pretty well, mostly, just very slow even with full boost.
Start went well surprisingly for everyone. The Lola could have finished 9th or 10th but I made a mistake on the exit of 2nd Lesmos. Made another mistake later on...

Tanti auguri, Benetton i Gabriele!!! Congratulations, great win. The last races will be tough for the championship.
40% boost at the Osella and no more than 10,000 rpm didn't save the engine from blowing. Lost 5th gear in lap 18 or something like that, stuck at 222km/h, and two laps later the engine was gone at the main straight. But it was a good track day. I also had fun at the Qualifying, even having two quick laps spoiled by other factors.
Now let's have some pastéis de nata and tortas de Azeitão here in Portugal. Meet you in Belém. Good week to everyone.

Another race, another mistake lol. It's just getting funny now... Made a brilliant start, went from 7th to 3rd by turn 1. Had no speed to keep the quicker cars behind due to us Ferrari's having to run more wing so we can actually hit an apex (Blooming understeer). Was hitting fuel mileage fine until i hit the kerb on the run to Ascari which just spun the car. Had fun trying to match the quicker guys, was keeping up with them (While driving like a mad man, no taking it easy here guys ) but then back markers played their part at times. Some had some questionable decisions such as moving at the last minute or deciding to race us down the straights? Just ridiculous to be honest. I know you are battling too, but if you just lift for half a second, we can be by you and then you can take a better line into the corner instead of being on the outside or the inside. You'll gain the time back when the car in front does the same. Some of the lapping manoeuvres felt like I was battling people for position as they were braking so late. Some of the lappers were great and did everything by the book, so I praise you guys. Well done to Gabriele and the podium. Solid drives. See you in Portugal.

Well, managed to get the Osella to the end without killing it. So close, yet so far away from putting it in the top 10. Not a bad car to drive (it's a little unbalanced at times but not as bad as some others) it's just slow and drinks fuel like mad. Not sure what I'd done if I had to do all 51 laps, barely made it the 46 I did do (and that with with super long gearing, short shifting at times and some lift/coast) Just tried to stay out of the way and run my own race, let attrition take me through the field. Climbed 15 spots so can't really complain (given the ride)...no real issues that I remember (save an off that was awfully close to a contact with the wall at T1 Thanks for the ride and big thanks again to the broadcast crew. Another good one in the books. Grats Gabriele on the win! Now, let's see if I can't snag this hunk of junk again for Portugal and see what it can do there.

Forgot to lower opponent detail for this mod, crashed my game with 10min? to go in Quali Rejoined, to receive a critical warning due to the same setting, left server to fix, and rejoined a second time Sry for this and if it messed anyone up, I know how annoying this can be, especially at the end of a Q session. I dont leave and rejoin for things other than tech probs. Probably should've forfeited my last run, as if there was mech prob in pits, to avoid screwing up others. Race went about as good as I could have hoped, other than a victory, but Gabriele wouldn't allow that to anyone else Misread my fuel and backed it down a bit with a few laps to go, but actually had enough to continue the duel with Hille. Doubt it would've mattered as Tim kept upping the pace to stay ahead. Great second stint Tim!! Race was a lot of fun working my way up, lots of good clean action with everyone, esecially J Thim! So consistent! Rreeeeaaaalllly wanted to capitalize at this track, as I think the Brabham will drop back down to earth for the rest of season Sry to see the DNF crashes, so easy to do here in these 86 cars!! Congrats all finishers

Had a good weekend all in all, solid Q and a pretty relaxing race I decided to do 2x 360's in lap 7 which killed my tyres but hold on with them in the first stint and inherited P2 in the end. Congrats to the finishers

Oh boy, that could have ended nasty...
...I lacked time for preparation as I just came home from my holidays on thursday, that was admittingly a bit tight, but I know the way around Monza, and I had a good base from Austria. So I thought. So I started testing, and while the car felt pretty nice as such, something after a while, I realised something was ... odd? I missed braking points or braked way to early, went wide or hit a curb, without being aware how I got there. A few scary moments later, it dawned to me I wasn't focusing correctly on the screen. Straight ahead in the distance was okay, but closer and off center, I couldn't properly align things visually. I suspected it was due to the fact I've been away from the computer screen for three weeks and haven't touched a sim since Austria, so maybe a little practice should get me on track again. I could find a decent setup for the qualifying session and everything seemed better, so I went into the race. I wasn't entirely sure what the car was like on full tanks, but it felt good in the warm-up session. I got into a useful rhythm soon after surviving the first lap, which seemed a little crazy from my seat, had the slower cars soon behind me and the faster soon out of sight, kept my engine temperature in check, tried to stay out of the way of faster cars, but it wasn't to long before I missed a braking point again and went head-on into the tire barrier of the second chicane. D'oh! I limped back to the pits, made some repairs and tried to make up for the lost positions, but soon again, I had a short airborne trip hitting the curb at Curva Grande, a spin at the second chicane and another one exiting Lesmo 1. A while later, the final curtain fell for me when I was again passed by the leader and I followed him along the backstretch. And totally missed my braking point and luckily I also missed Gabrielle, but just so! With some vital parts missing on the car now, it was time to wrap things up for me. Gotta see if its just a temporary thing with my vision, at the moment, I've got a bit difficulties even with reading on some websites (here too, due to the background). I'll test a bit for Portugal and decide then, if I'm going to start. Its a bit of an unsettling situation for me...

Amazing race Brian!
Good wheel to wheel action as allways, but you where to darn fast. You allmost dragged me with you into contention. However missed 'one gear' and after that as a conseqvence struggled with fuel consumption the hole race since not having a tow. Having to re-value my strateghy. Was lucky in the end to get 6th.
FYI Oscar is my brother. Congrats to Gabrielle and those who survived.

After a good start, as the car had an excellent setting, after the third lap, I decided to improve the pace and in the second ginkana, I accelerated a little harder before the ideal moment and my car spun. From then onwards, there were several small moments of deconcentration that cost me 2 accidents and 10 minutes stopped in the box in 2 moments. I only found myself concentrated with 12 laps to go and as I had already taken 6 laps behind, and the next one in front of me had a 2 lap advantage, it was impossible to take the difference, I managed to take one of the laps but the race was over with the taste that I could have gotten to the points if I hadn't made so many mistakes. We are going to Portugal in hopes of recovering my normal concentration level.

Thank you all for this race.
Sorry about giving a lap for a Ferrari. I just messed a race of some Ferrari because he crashed into my back after Ascari chicane.
I crashed 3 times, but always able to go to the pits and recover. At the end, I finished the race. It was a reasonable start. Let's see if I can get a car for next race.
Cheers
