So, in-game I'm given the choice between the Wildcat MkII and the MkIV. Should it be that way?

No, it should be the MKIV only, I think you have the choice of both because the filter of the previous Michigan race is still enabled to allow Bruno to use his #84, although that has been fixed already. So use the MKIV please

#7 and #24 are now available as one off first come-first served for sunday's race, as none of their drivers confirmed presence.

Hello. I,m having an issue with norton200.gdb mismatch. Since I wasn't in the league when the first Michigan race was held, is there anything else I should install for this track?

No, the track is exactly the same. It is strange that you get that issue. Anyway, I have uploaded to the FTP the GDB that the server is using now, just in case. You can download it and overwrite the one in your install, that will make sure that you have the exact same file.

The game was probably picking the wrong .gdb from the other folder. Thanks for helping.

I've had something unexpected come up and I'm not going to be able to make the race. Sorry for the late notice, but literally just found out.
Good luck everyone that is racing!

Oh well that was a short race. Lap 7 and the car just switched ends in turn 3. I was only running slowly to hit the fuel usage, low wings, high gears and the lowest boost.

Phew, bit of a mixed bag. Q was decent and I pretty much exploited what was in the chassis. Green flag fell and I got relatively well off the line, could even make up a few positions, but I was aware that would be a very brief moment of glory. Pretty soon everything went backward, and being concerned about fuel use, I quickly lost the slipstream, losing over half a second per lap to the car ahead of me, so it was more or less a lonely solo ride with Greg behind me, watching the fuel gauge and trying to duck the lapping traffic. I could open a slight gap to Greg towards the end of the first stint, and just as I was about to pit, a yellow was thrown. Talk about timing! The situation before the restart was a bit wild, but I could make a fine restart and could Angel, and having some extra fuel to burn, I could tuck under the wings of Thiago and Jules, and having something to cling to, suddenly the car became competitive, both concerning speed and fuel use. I had to take care not to run into them in the turns! Unfortunately, I was a lap down on them and a while later, I lost Thiagos wing when I made the wrong decision in traffic and opened the inside, so I was on my own again and instead had Angel on my heels. But being three laps good on fuel now, I could risk a little, turned up the boost and stay ahead. Right before the finish line, I was able to pass the car ahead of me, but that wouldn't change much on my position.
Strange race where I never knew what was possible, because I was more concerned about the fuel gauge than anything, and the suspension never got a proper workout in the first half of the race. The second half showed a bit more of the potential, but by then, the race was already decided. At least I finished (the first time since the summer break) and was able to keep two cars behind me, but else? I'm a bit clueless, I have to admit...

Thanks a lot for the opportunity to try Penske. Its a real rocket. I was struggling with the building the setup before the race but finally i have found some balance. In race everything went well so i appeared on top during couple laps and than i tried just to keep Adam behind me. It failed after the pitstop and just one yellow where i pushed higher boost to late so Adam was uncatchable. Congrats Adam for well deserved victory!!

Finishing again after a long while and in the leader lap(thanks to YF I suppose) was a fairly good result for me.
For the past couple of races I struggled a lot when car got light on fuel load and ended up in the wall. So I changed approach for setup development by focusing on low fuel instead. It was not ideal at beginning of stint but pretty safe at the end of it. I tried to save fuel entire race and aimed for pit stop at end of 38, however, had to do it on 37 instead. The moment I reached apron leaving the pits the Yellow Flag was thrown and I was worried I'd lose a lap but luckily I had YF icon still blinking for another race to the flag lap.
Then the second stint I spent all extra fuel I'd managed to save on slower laps, by trying to keep close to guys ahead. That wasn't simply there for me to grab so I just managed my pace till the end since my gap to Bruno behind me was significantly big.
Already watched broadcast, great work as always. Congratulations to Adam and Martin, you guys were on another level yesterday!

While making a bonehead error from Pole, I am very happy with this race. Even if I had not gotten the drive through off of the start, the Penske cars were blisteringly quick. Congrats to Adam and Matrin on the very well run race! It was fun racing through the pack, pancaking the right side exiting 4, and still coming away with a podium.
As Lowell George and the boys in Little Feat once said, "Oh Atlanta, I gotta get back to you". I can't wait!

Another race to forget. I understand the frustration about boost rules and fuel mileage back in the day! This was a completely one-dimensional race: just make it on fuel. I did, and there ends my story.

I was never gonna finish this race on fuel unless I kept below 200mph on the straights despite having minimum wings and low to moderate revs, and zero boost usage of course.
Spun coming out of turn 2, hit the grass, and went flying.
Bring on the road courses...
