First thing I tried. It’s like all my settings have just been deleted. I can reset them up that’s fine. But for some reason I’m constantly so slow. It’s like my throttle is only giving 50% power even thou it’s showing 100% use

Possibly try to re-calibrate and check that all of Steams' Cache files are up to date?

The Lola handled amazing on this track but man, the Ford has a few issues. Didn't even over rev. Had fun while it lasted on a great track. Hoping to finish in Adelaide as the chassis should do well.

That was a short one. I anticipated I'd have to be really gentle to my engine, as one let go after 50 laps in testing. So I turned down boost considerably and took great care to shift early, and this time it lasted 16 laps. Fitting end to an awful week. I urgently need a finish solace my ego...
I was so much looking forward to this race as it is one of my favourite tracks. The Esses section is just to my taste, almost a bit nürburgringesque, minus the shrubs, trees and elevation changes, but you need a good rhythm and gotta pace carefully to be always in the right spot for the next turn. I felt I got that sorted out decently, although the car was a bit more understeering in the race than it had been in practice. I was aware I was terribly slow in the straights, but I accepted this, just to finish the race. If the car helds up, you usually get pretty far with all the carnage around the track. Slow AND unreliable, oh well...

Wheel disconnected , so that was the end of my race shame. never happened during a race, so thats a tad worrying. Was being fun until then, even if i think i picked the wrong tires/strategy.

I got a disconnect on the 1st grid Rejoined as fast as I could but I could not join the 2nd grid
When the game finally finished loading everything the timer to join was already 0
I preferred the pit lane start anyway Did some moves and went from dead last to P5

An enjoyable race although most of the time I was on my own. The fuel usage of the Tyrrell meant that only low boost was possible and J think that I had a bit too much wing which was slowing the car on the straights. I made a good start and was running safely around 7th or 8th place. Managed to avoid a spinning Ferrari and up to 7th but with faster cars behind. The faster cars then went past on the straight and I was down to 10th. At half distance my pitstop was ok and the car felt good on new tyres and lower fuel (maybe this is when I went too fast and used too much fuel). After a while some cars in front hit trouble and I was in 6th place heading to my first point of the season. Then towards the end of the race I was running low on fuel but hoping that I could save enough to finish 6th. With a few laps to go I got held up by a backmarker and my teammate sneaked past into 6th (well done John), I don't think that I could have held him off and saved enough fuel to finish therefore with a large gap behind I just cruised around to finish 7th. Thanks for the broadcast. Well done Gabriele on the win.

So relived to finally get some points on the board again. Huge thanks to Anders for the help, both in and out of the car. Couldn't do it without you mate! Had a good start, but i forgot to turn the boost back up so got overtaken by a few cars and slightly squeezed out at T1/2/3. Managed to pass them all again, but then just after i had passed Sabre (Great drive btw) i threw it into the scenery. (Strike 2). Lost about 10-15 seconds, but got my head down to catch the cars again, managed to pass most guys into turn 1 as i could just brake later it seems. Had a fun little battle with Grant, been a while since i had one of those with him . Started pushing again to catch the guys i lost from before (Nilsson, Janik, Wilks, Bos and Pagiola). Passed a few of them and decided to pit as i thought i could maybe jump the battling Brian and Juha. Passed Brian after the pit stop cycle, so i had to manage the gap to him as i'm certain he was quicker than me, but i believe he made a couple of mistakes, tough luck, but you did great in that car, i know it can be tough to drive. Tried to catch Juha and DP at the end but they we're just out of reach and then fuel became an issue so had to keep an eye on that and back off a bit. Thrilled with P3 though. Congrats to Gabriele on the win, Juha on 2nd and all of the finishers, this was a tough one. Thanks for the patience at the beginning from you all, much appreciated. Also thanks to Jonatan and Ryan for stepping in. See you all at the finale!

I'm quite happy with this result. My race setup was ok, but as usual my qualifying pace looked to be rather abysmal. Vadim then kindly launched me a setup (thank you!) but even with that I was two seconds off his pace. I then tweaked his setup and, to my great surprise, I finally got it together and put it on pole. I think this was my first solo pole position, so I'm happy to add that to my first solo win earlier this year.
For the race itself, I had absolutely no hope of winning it, not on this track against the Benetton. I tried to put up a good show, hoping to bag second in the end. Gabriele ran away, but I managed to overtake Wilks and spent a long time in second place before Brian got by. I knew I had to do something do regain second as I wasn't going to do it on pace.
When Brian pitted, my teammate was occupying my stall. As it looked that Janik's stop was a quick one, and we were already approaching 2/3 of the race distance with Coxon was about half a minute back, I switched to a non-stop strategy. Even if my tyres went bust, I'd still have sufficient margin over Wilks, Coxon and Brian and hold on to second.
So I found myself leading, with Wilks stopping Gabriele's progress and stabilising the gap. It didn't last long enough though, and once Wilks went out my mirrors soon turned Benetton green and my tyres Ferrari red. I tried uttering the magical words "Bono my tyres are gone", as in real life that appears to lengthen their lifespan by about half a race, but they weren't having it.
I did my best to stay close to Gabriele, but fuel was tight so I had to let go and save some for the returning Coxon. Second it was in the end, good, yet still not good enough in the championship.
Well done to Gabriele, and Coxon on overcoming the Ferrari's unreliability.

After a real-life induced sign up error, I was told on Saturday a Benetton seat may become available Was a little tricky to adapt to this car, even though it is an upgrade The extra boost is awesome, but I kept trying to dumb down the handling to be lazy like the Brabham so I wouldnt spin in any battles due to old habits. Planned to watch fuel burn and run my own race for a while so I wouldn't make a fool of myself But got into an entertaining tussle with Juha, burnt a little too much and fell out of rhythm for a few laps Made a slight strategic error during the pitstop, and spun twice anyway while trying to reel in the speedy Coxon Pretty happy w/4th, but also kinda feel a letdown. Car is great, my consistency in it, not so much On the other hand, Great race by GDP! And a double points finish for the team Really glad I was able to race, but hopefully D. Jaques will be fully recovered by next round (thanks for the heads up that you might not make it)

Was such a struggle. As David said only low boost avaiable on the Tyrell if not you would be stupid enough to go for the lowest of wings, which i did! So yeah go figure car was hopeless to drive. However in the end I could go boosting alot on worn tyres, spinning the rears everywhere trying to catch David for 6th. Had a crazy powerslide moment out of peraltada nearly took me out.
Great drive David! Unlucky with the backmarker I think you deserved that point more than me. Thanks for the stream as allways and congratulations to anyone who got to the end.
That was a hard one.

Aarrgh... To be a backmarker and give position at Peraltada is terrible... It would be a very easy race to finish... but.. sometimes to give position to front runners you put yourself into bad conditions...
This is what happened... just had a huge crash into Peraltada at 13th lap...
It is terrible to give position at fast corners... dangerous I may say...
But, next race I will try #22 Osella once again. It is a good car to learn to race.

I had a Good start, ovartaking Nilsson taking the 5th Place. My car didn't performs at straigths but in "esses" sector my Williams was much, much faster than others. When I was approaching Ray to lap him at Peraltada, I kick the throttle over the ideal and lost the rear, catching the wall and fire. One more race that I could finish at the Points. At Paddock, some CART/Indycar teams called me to offer contracts for next year (1987), but no more details I can tell now...

Brabham is a tough car to handle. I had intensive training on Saturday and Sunday morning so I could finish the race which was my goal and I became satisfied with a good handling car except for the Peraltada nervous back of the car. Started very carefully saving fuel and on Hard tyres, recovered some positions and on lap 38 decided to pit for safe reason afraid to have problems with them in the end.
At this moment I realized that I had save to much fuel and from that moment on I raced with full turbo and manage to reach Luciano after being about 35s behind. And 4 laps to go I throw everything away spinning at Peraltada just 2s behind him. It was very disapointing in the end, but reviewing it from today, I made a good job with an unknow and difficult car and I'm happy for what I've done.

Fantastic this track, just great, boy what a cool track this is to race with you guys. You really have to be completely off your path to renovate this to today's fairground or god knows what it is! and this should have been the finali what a fight up there, great to watch, and of course the fight with the bumps. gotdamn what a challenge, especially in qualify with 900 hp in your back and a car that wants to take off at any moment, last stint happened with 600sec repair, p16 then. setup was great but again I couldn't keep up with the zakspeeds wing 3-5 but I couldn't go lower because with so much flex and a nervous front end I just raced alone. to let me lap I had no option in the sses only for hairpins or straights, don't want to lose any more time, but a ligier was so impatient that almost rode me off before the last left S bend come up peralta. If I were him, I'd think so too, get out of there with that slow bin. but yeah .. pit stop in lap 35 and B compound on all four. for a moment I thought I could race with chacon, but petrol was on a sharp adjustment and saw it disappear on the horizon, haha illusion poorer. still had 3l petrol in last laps and came dry in peralta, hop in neutral and roll on! P12

I saw it in background @ 1:42:42 mark of broadcast. awesome save! Thanks man! Lucky escape, got my attention for sure. To any modder out there slides like these for me exploits the biggest 'physics' weekness of the game. Only way to save it is to gradually easy off the trottle. However in reallife (in most cases) you would certainly be doing the opposite which sadly workes in AMS. The only game I find simulating this correcly is Asetto corsa, which instead I never race.

However in reallife (in most cases) you would certainly be doing the opposite which sadly workes in AMS. The only game I find simulating this correcly is Asetto corsa, which instead I never race. That is not that clear. If you are inducing a slide because you are going beyond what the rear tires are capable, you will save it by lifting, specially if you are driving a big downforce/drag car. If you try to save it by going even more on the throttle, you will end up in the wall somewhere. You just need to hear the onboards to see how they are doing. AC treats every car like if its some sort of drift show, and as soon as you begin sliding, liftling is deadly because the sudden weight transfer will kill you Which is funny, because if you instead try to induce that by trail braking hard into corners, nothing will happen, and that is in fact the fastest way around.
