Can I have the #16 if David can't race? You can Dave but due to the lateness of the car becoming free, if we feel you are not up to speed and lapping safely we may remove your entry. See you on track.

A short and not very sweet race. I got a good start on the green flag but then the gap ahead closed and ran into the back on Alberto's tyre, I that you didn't get much damage. I was damaged and had to pit for 8 laps worth of repairs. On returning to the track I was quicker than the cars around me but I didn't want to take any risks overtaking and then Bruno spun exiting turn 2 and I couldn't avoid him, lots more damage, drove back to the pits but 250 seconds to repair I decided to retire, no point getting in anyones way when 20 laps down. Race over by lap 31. Thanks for the broadcast, I watched it once I was out. Congrats to whoever wins.

A rough start to the season. Sorry John about getting into your rear and sorry to anyone else whom I got in the way of. No need, you where a victim there. Cars understered heavily on new tires, hit the wall got a puncture. However I thought it was a broken wishbone so I tried to hug the inside to pit, to my suprise it would'nt stick. So stayed on the highline when I saw you comming. Unsuccesfull, sry!

I immagine how hardness was this 87 season for Penske Racing. I had some hope about this PC-16 can be competitive, because I had good marks along the week. But today everthing was down... I had a good start, jumping to 14th but after 2 laps everyone passed me in every way. I spun trying to make this car faster. Waiting hopefully for 86 Marches...

Had a really great race going, best in a long time. But then short track racing happened. Just one of those things, very reminiscent of the accident I had in the USAC race last autumn. Anyway, to cut through traffic after a crap qualifying is one of the best things in simracing. Started 21st, reached 7th after 40 laps, very happy with the car and with my driving. Some great scraps in there, thanks everyone for the great racing tonight.

Thanks everyone involved, I have to be honest this was my very first race in ams1 and I couldn't have asked for it to go better... One thing I will mention was I was not ready for the green flag when I was leading the pack to green after caution. I just didn't know where the green flag was that popped up on my screen and then in a rush I added a missed gear to it lol. Anyways, I hope that slow start on my part did not mess anyone's race up, I will be ready if ever in that position again.
Thanks to Mike of whom's car I managed to pilot to a top 5 finish, and had an absolute blast doing it! Look forward to any more I can get into and I will c u fellas on the track!

Managed to bin it at the end of my first qualifying lap so I basically started last. Tried to settle in at the start and just run my race, managed to gain about 10 or 11 positions in as many laps and was steadily working my way up and then it was like I hit a wall and just couldn't gain on anyone anymore. So I settled in even more, fuel was good and my overall pace was decent, everyone ahead of me just seemed to be faster somehow.
Caught up to Dave and he and I had a Bettenhausen Brothers Battle for a good deal of the race. Sometime after the first pit stop I caught the wall at the exit of 2 hard enough that it bent something, so I had to adjust for that, but it was no problem. Then my troubles really started.
I realized early on that a surprisingly large number of you didn't know how to get through Turn 1 and were just throwing the car in and hoping it would stick. I'd managed to adjust for this so when someone went into 1 under me I slowed more than usual and was able to pull the crossover, until I either misjudged it or the car trying to pass me misjudged something but a red car came up into my front end hard, and exacerbated my bent suspension. Now my car was even more loose and with the Rear ARB already all the way down I began stiffening the front one. I decided to add a click of front wing on my last stop to induce some understeer and help the car, but I never got the chance, I was exiting 4 while being lapped when a blue and white car chopped across my nose and turned me into the wall. 210 seconds of repair later, I had a brand new car and no more worries about fuel, so I decided Id turn the wick up after about 20 or so laps, just to make sure I had some wiggle room. Once again, I never got the chance, I was turned again, I think, coming off of 4 and she parked herself at a 90 degree angle to the track and I wasn't gonna try and back into traffic to turn it around.
You guys can't be trying to pull sliders in these cars, it's not going to work. I'm also curious what kinda of fuel mileage ya'll were getting as I was just barely making my numbers on a low setting and most of you were, clearly running higher boost.
EDIT: What'd I tell ya Dave, we were both heading for Top 10's and you nailed it!
One more thing, There were at least 3 cautions that should've been thrown and weren't. I witnessed 2 multi-car accidents in the middle of the track and nothing, then someone blows a motor and we finally get one?

Pole Win (fuel should be fine I guess) Happy Tried everything under the sun to get to speed. EVERYTHING i red or know and more. Redid quite a bit at the end of the week and completly changed my driving style. Jaques added chemistry to the knowledge - thank you. (Good job to the modmakers - Drove em like I saw it on youtube.) I was very late coming in for the 2nd pitstop, was paranoid because of the brakes / lockups. It unfolded to be quite the Benny Hill moment. No hard feelings Richard - nice move later and good convo. Very much apreciate it. Awesome race mate! (During the race I didn't understand what happend honestly..) Major code brown at lap 183 - Amaral sideways on the start finish. Just made the right call. Sooo close If I made it too close passing somebody somewhere - sorry. Backmarkers all did a good job. Gratz to all finishers. Thanks to the broadcasting team!

It was a very difficult week trying to setup the March85, even to make fuel it was a big challenge.
Did the best I could in quality, I'm very happy with the 19th spot.
In the start of the race there were a lot of drivers trying to get better spots, I dropped to 21st. Started to climb the field and saw myself in 11th in the first stop. I had my plan and stuck to it saving fuel as much as I could.
Everybody was pitting around lap 134 and I still had fuel for a couple of laps. I got very lucky with the yellow, I could recover almost 2 laps from the leader. That was the only reason I was fighting up front, in my calculation O should be 3-4 laps behind in the end of the race.
I couldn't be happier with the 4th place. The top 10 was just a dream for me in flag to flag situation.
Congratulations to Vadim. Your extensive practice paid off. Well deserved!! Congrats to Richard and Cezar for the podium!
Thank you for the broadcast!
See you next week!

Fuel mileage was no problem. Used full boost for the first and second lap.
0.53 after that for a few laps, then down respectively as the car got lighter.
You safe the most without loosing laptime by lifting and coasting. Turn 3 and 4 I was completly off throttle for nearly a second sometimes. Once I had traffic I was doing 2.18 per lap - sometimes a little more, sometimes a little less. You also safe quite a bit on the tyre temperatures because you don´t push constantly.
I sometimes even hit full boost for the straights to make up for lost momentum - 2.23 per lap. On a real flyer it went up to 2.30.
Oh - and the setup helped.

The car chopping the nose I believe was me and was unintentional, sry Jason. We were all really close at that point battling and in the heat of the moment I simply got loose and was lucky not take anyone out there, still learning and will try to be a little bit better for any future racing

I had a very difficult week due to some illness and don't practicing as I should with this March 85C. It was almost all the time a solitaire race just trying to open clearly for lappers, bringing the car home and getting some advantage from DNFs.
About 15 laps to go I had a spin for a home distraction here and luckly did't destroy Vadim's race. Sorry for the frightening moment there. But I could avoid the walls and recover to bring the car to the finish line and score some points. Very happy for those sweaty 3 points with the car in one piece.
As Jason, I still didn't get the felling for fuel consumption yet. I spend all the race with 0.28 turbo pressure to allow finishing the race, and just finished because of the 8 laps behind. After 192 laps I spent almost all the fuel limit (I think it was something between 443/445).
Thanks for Pagiola for helping with the setup for an almost blind man.
Hope to get a ride for Portland.

Not the opener I was looking for but can take away positives from this.
Ovals for me are a huge weakness. So I focussed on just being stable and clean for the race. Glad to say I think this was the cleanest run on an oval I have done. Not a foot wrong and not a single wall tap. I backed out of every challenge and decided to just ride the positions.
Was happy with my pace and found myself in the last stint with 3rd in the bag.
But then boom…
Really thought I was safe with my gearing but a few clicks up maybe would have saved me! Live and learn! Onto Portland now and hoping for a better result!
Congrats Vadim, Coxon and Thiago. Awesome job guys!!

A great start (Much better than last year ) to a what I am hoping will be a great season. Had great fun battling with Vadim and David at the beginning of the race, shame that David had his accident on the exit of T1, not sure what happened there, but sorry to see it nether the less. Started dicing with Vadim, trying to manage the gap, he was quicker than i at the beginning of the stints and i seemed to have the edge at the end. It was the same around the lap, he was better in 1/2, i was better in 3/4 so it kept it nice and close. I made a balls up when pitting, Vadim's late entry surprised me and then i misjudged where my stall was so i mounted Vadim like a rampant bull. But he took it like a champ I managed to disable repairs before i got back into my stall, i left before Vadim and felt guilty as a result, so when the yellow came out, i decided to back off and let Vadim retake the position. After we went back to green Vadim just disappeared into the distance, the contact in the pits had given me damage at the front and make the car have terrible understeer. Only in the last 10 laps of the race did the car feel somewhat comfortable again and i was able to turn the boost up and maybe close the gap. Then to my amazement Vadim started slowing i thought he may have been low on fuel and coasting, but it wasn't in the end as he explained, i managed to get within 1 second at the end, i'm not sure another lap would of helped as by that point he would know i was there and would put his foot down again. But great drive Vadim, i had great fun battling. Onwards to Portland where i hope another top 5 is on the cards, but i know that several quick Road Course drivers will be back at the front so it will be a tough race. Thanks again to the broadcast team, great job as always and thank you to the guys who helped put this mod together.
