I'm in the worst form of my life right now, holy hecking crap, it is just shocking!!! Welp, as in Phoenix last week, racecraft and racepace was there, it is just those split-second decisions that all goes against me. Spun on my own, blew the engine while rejoining.
****!!!

No real comment to give about my race. Had the pace in quali for P3, two consecutive engine blow-ups in the last two runs ruined it.
Race start was a mess too, with massive gaps when we were going into the final turn. Almost ran into Al because he was on the right side instead of the left, where he was supposed to be. Lost positions at the start right away because I took the start in 3rd gear instead of 2nd, then my game froze on lap 2. Almost got run off the track twice on lap 5 before my car decided to make my life worse than it already is.
Sorry about almost spinning you out, Jonatan. Once I noticed you were going around, I tried to push you back into the right direction. Fortunately, that worked.
While I am surprised that my engine did not give up like it had many, many times in practice, after those last 10 laps with no splitter and the humiliation of being the only running car to be lapped, I wish it had.

No engine blow-ups during training\practice, then on the first run in qualifying the engine blew. After that I had to keep one eye on the engine temperatures. Qualified about where I thought I'd be, 7th, but with four cars on just about the same time and I was the slowest of them. The race start went well (after a parade lap that was just about at racing speed) but then a little bit too much power going onto the back straight and the car almost spun but it hit the inside armco damaging the front right. After that I turned the boost right down (below 1.00) and was cruising around to hopefully pick up some points when others engines failed. Then with about five laps left my engine let go. I'm not sure how the turbo can be competitive and last a race distance. EDIT: Its nice to hear Jason back in the booth. Thanks for the broadcast.

Qualified on Pole, but I think that was all the engine had planned for tonight. Probably ran too much boost and revs and retired from second place.

That one was shorter than anticipated. Left out about 3 or 4/10 in Q, because I couldn't get stuff together in time, then massively missed a gear on the start, which I didn't realise immediately because of the noise around me, had a few more out of the last corner, I really had some trouble there tonight for some reason, pace settled in okay, the gap the the cars ahead of me were pretty even at some point, then I had a short battle, fun battle with Gabriel, and that Toyota in front of me slowly came towards me, but suddenly, it was all silent, the engine had quit. The missed gears and shifting at relatively high revs in the heat of the race were obviously a bit too much.

Fast in practice, not so much in quali. P9. Whatever. But the famous unreliable Celica lived up to it's name today and the engine quit on me.
However, that car DOES pull. So I see potential to get some great finishes this season! ^^ Until next time.

Great race! A lot of pressure from Alan Santo but I managed to hold my nerves and without making any mistakes, I finally got a good position after several retirements in front of me. 7th place and scoring points, very happy with the finish. Congratulations Jundt, Canola and Wilks.

This race confirms it to me again: I can't push a car for my life in Q, but once we settle into a race session where consistency is key, I do much better. Then again, I took advantage of the mis-shifts(?) of others and Canadian Dave caught the chicane, dropping him out of contention Thiago kept me on my toes, but then I nearly brainfarted by spinning on T1 of the last lap and somehow managed a brilliant 360° and got going fast enough, my tyres felt like cheese and I started to make mistakes. Only with a lot of luck I seemed to stay ahead of Thiago by 0.064 After Q, I'd have taken a top five, but the victory is a literal win! Not sure if that sentence made any sense... Great racing!

Congratulations Jundt, Canola and Wilks. Indeed, great defensive display out there. It was a really fun race trying to overtake Bruno. Decided to set mid to low boost pressure to avoid being over aggressive to the tyres. Still, pressure on right rear rose much more than I expected and then last 8 laps or so it were really difficult. Still, happy to achieve 8th

I just wanted to leave a note.
It's crazy how anyone can win this championship, because the cars are just so F!@#? unreliable! It's the 70s and it's exciting as hell.
I join the Home of the Heartbroken with Jua Bos, Michael Drechsler, David Sabre, Jacob, and more. Let us all mourn our fallen engines.
