Yes, the brake marks on the asphalt are gone in the new version. Ok, all my references have disappeared so it is time to start from zero. Thanks Juha for the quick answer There are enough trees and signs near the road. In fact, having to use them now made me more constant in some places. Not faster overall, not at all, but more constant. But also a bit more prone to incidents I didn't experience before in some other places :/

Sorry for the late notice, but I have to withdraw from tonight's race. Simply not possible with my work schedule. Been looking forward to Spa all year long however, so I hope I will keep my car for that one.

That means you'll lose your car after this race, because you'll have missed 4 races. That is fine by me. The Indycars will kick me around enough for the rest of the year. It might not be in the same car as up to now though, because you've lost that one as well due to your accumulated absences.

First ride in the 1958s. Really tough because of a few "choke points" on the track. I was unsure about racing but after practice and perseverance I decided to race. Qualified relatively well, a humble 9th. After the pre-race issues were sorted we got going and I had a good start. After a few scares due to lag from all the chaos behind, almost taking out myself and Juha we had an excellent fight, which I lost big time. Got going again and was holding a good 7th. Nilsson retired and I was 6th, thinking I could just cruise out the rest of the race. But that turn one, that damn turn one, it eventually got me. I tried to see if I could limp back onto the track but it took too long. Saw John Thim coming and decided to escape as quickly as I could. I hope it was not too late.
Was a good experience, but I think the 70s is my threshold for motorsport! A lot of respect for those who are full time in this series and thanks for the car.

I'm so sad to have retired only After 5 laps. The car was not particularly quick on straights but was behaving nicely, had a good fight with Mat for a while but my engine stopped, no overtemp or mishift just gone. I Hope for a Better race in Belgium or at least finish a race😬

Wohoo! Woohooo! Wohoohoohoohoohoo!
I didn't really expect to finish the race, but I knew, if I would, it'd be a good result. Well, I didn't destroy my car (but it was close), I finished the race (never managed to do more than 30 laps in practice), and I'm rewarded with second! How's that for the beginning of 3 weeks off?
But from the beginning. Q was okay, I graced myself with the best laptime I managed around this track early on, but couldn't improve it during the session. 8th, that's fine. Start was okay, lost one position, but that wasn't a big deal, my plan was to stay out of trouble until the field sorted itself out and then see where I am and what I can do. Others were more motivated during lap 1, and braking for T3, I saw something in my mirror and soon whoozing by, just to spin itself out and block the track. 14th now, after everythin sorted itself out. Well, okay...
What followed was a pretty fun battle with Ray, Luciano, Bruno, Adam and Francisco. Going knuckle to knuckle with Bruno is always a joy, and that was one I really enjoyed. He used to be in my way where my car was clearly better, and I had a huge advantage in top speed, but he always beat me on the brakes, but by lap 10, I had finally wrestled him down exiting T3. By then, there was already a sizable gap to the Lotus in front of me, and I had a few guys hassling me from behind. Somewhere around 9th or so, the field had already thinned out. The Lotus did what it does best and had to retire. About 40 seconds to the next car ahead, and I definitely did not have the means to catch up, but at least I could open a smallish gap behind me. One after another fell by the wayside, and around lap 20, I was already in fifth. A point, but still a long way to go. The gap behind me got larger too, after Ray, Francisco and Luciano fell out, and Bruno and Adam couldn't go my pace. Soon thereafter, I was being lapped, and at lap 23, I almost binned it. I got a bit to wide into T1, I felt that would not end well and opened the steering to aim for the gap between the straw bales. That didn't go without a contact, and I had another one turning around, but while the car was damaged, it was still pretty drivable. Phew! Probably the warning shot I just needed to keep my focus up
From there, things got pretty lonely, I could keep my fifth, got back into my rhythm and stretch the gap to Adam again. Ruben and Adam dropped out, fourth a sizable gap behind me and Juha to fast to keep up. But the next time I looked, the gap was suddenly under two minutes. And then, he pitted and I was on the podium. Oof! Another warning shot came later in that fast lefthander at the beginning of the downhill seciton, missing my braking point and scraping the straw. Yuk! I told myself to stay focused! Next time I raised my head along the long straight, Petr was a DNF! Second. Now that was a shock and rang a bell in my head: Be careful, look after your material and DON'T! BIN! IT! I immediately dropped my pace, shifted earlier, and the last seven laps, I did no longer accelerate much beyond 240 kph. That were some very intense laps. I gave Juha the lap back, there was no reason to be bothered by him. And then, the flag fell and 49 very exciting, joyful, intense and exhausting laps were completed.
I consider this my best effort of the season so far, not so much for the result, which had a lot to do with staying afloat, but except for that short lapse in lap 23 and another brush later on, it was a very focused and controlled race from my side, without getting on the wrong side of car stability except for one situation. A bit wild early on maybe, with a few straw bale brushes, but none of the ever so common half spins or wiggles. Bit slow in race trim perhaps, but maybe just fast enough. Sure didn't hurt I like the track, right after my taste. The last sector, actually the whole rest of the track after T3 back to start/finish were probably my favourite section of the whole season. A nice rhythm and fast, but not yet flat out, requiring a steady hand and precise driving, just right my taste! Too bad I have to sit out Spa for not being home.
So, time to pack my suitcases! Another 400 km ahead tomorrow. Bit slower, though...

When I passed by I was already on the wrong way, tail first, and was praying for not hiting anyone. For God sake, since even I didn't get any damages, I think you were also safe although lost time and track position on my embarrassing maneuver. I'm very happy you manage to finish an outstanding podium after my mistake. As always in this series, I plan a safe and careful race, but naturally and unconsciously get too "motivated" after the green light and tear the engine off. This time that happened in less than 3 laps. Some missed gears and overrevs made the quick job. I Need to control myself and take care of it like a baby so I can finish at least one before the end of the season. See you at Spa.

Is only for me or the effect of slipstream Is barely noticeable with theese Cars? Well, considering the speeds involved, and the type of car, i guess it seems accurate. Big splistream effects really only happen with big wings or bulky draggy cars at high speeds.

Very frustrated at not finishing the race. In the beginning, a good battle with Michael, Luciano and Rydal, but I knew that they would beat me sooner or later, even though I had a safe and relatively fast pace. It was a race where I didn't make any mistakes, even with the car a little damaged by the touches I received throughout the race, the car remained steady and turning around 2:38 to 2:39. I was already looking to score points when, braking on the big straight, the car swerved to the left and plunged into limbo! It was my big chance in this championship to score points. Now it's time to focus on SPA and try to stay alive in the race, which won't be at all favorable to Cooper who drags himself along the straights. Congratulations to the winners and particularly to Michael for the brilliant and always clean contest. The transmission of the race was impeccable and Jonatan always excelling, congratulations Jonatan!

I expected it to be a survival race, but I certainly didn't expect only 3 people to finish this race Had a nice battle with Anders at the beginning, sadly his engine decided against the battle, so from about lap 15 I was on my own first managing the gap to P2 and after everyone with a small chance to be dangerous disappeared I just cruised home and took it easy on the car
Happy about my 2nd win of the season

Positive: - victory at Monza wasn't just a good luck with the Maserati - I really enjoy driving these cars - I'm looking forward for more
Negative: - Kabooom and DNF
I did one race at Porto back in 2005-ish during my GPL years, so I didn't hesitate to grab a car for Sunday' s race. Obviously, Cooper is slow, but nimble in corners. Happy to drive one.
Qualifying was a bit disappointing, as there were at least 0,8s to gain, but I just couldn't put one good lap together. Starting 6th among all the Maseratis wasn't too bad, though.
There's one thing which happens with Automobilista from time to time. When I move to next session, all three pedals are 50% on. As soon as I touch any, they immediately calibrate back to normal. Unfortunately, the same thing happened at the start. As a result, the engine was overreving for some 1,5s before the car even moved. I guess it may have contributed to the end result...
Start was all right. I lost some positions to Maseratis, but soon people started to drop off like flies. Then there was a nice battle with Juha in the same car and then the situation stabilised with me running on P3. Shortly before half way through, I had a fairly hard contact with Jason who spun in T2. Since then the car became a handful. Especially braking became totally unpredictable, the car swerved to both sides. I was holding on to it, P2 guy crashed out, Juha also got into trouble and I was just minding my own business. Until... Kabooom. And that was it. Anyway, I had lots of fun, the twisty section was a pleasure to drift through. I'll try to grab a car for the next race, for sure. Grats to all three finishers

Same exact thing happened to my Clubsport V1 pedals, so I developed a habit of pressing and releasing the throttle when going to grid. In my Clubsport V3 pedals it doesn't happen any more though, so I guess it's pedal model related.

I have V3, too. There must be a different cause than model-related issue. Maybe my combo of Thrustmaster TS-PC base, Fanatec pedals and Logitech shifter. Who knows... But it happens only with Automobilista

Now that was an odd one. Qualifying 5th was better than I had anticipated, especially with that long straight which doesn't suit the Cooper. I soon found myself in 4th though, leaving Matthew Sibanyoni behind and battling with Petr Hlavac, but he was quicker and I had to let him go. Still, sitting in 4th around this track after only a handful of laps wasn't a bad place to be. I then dropped to 5th, but Anders' retirement promoted to 4th again.
My race then became a rather dull one, with no one left to fight. With 20 laps to go, I missed a brake marker a went sideways into the haybales. Great, just what I needed. Luckily all the wheels were still on the car so I set off with a bent car. My pit crew straightened it while Adam Hackman and Michael Drechsler overtook me and I set off again, cursing myself for throwing away valuable points. However, I'd soon make progress again after a string of retirements.
Last car on track, but third over the line was rather undeserved and very unexpected. In the end my mess up only cost me 2 points. I just hope that won't be the difference in the final standings between me and Tim, who did a good job yesterday.
Spa next. Another track unsuited to the Cooper, but I got it into the points here so I can live in hope.
