The #11, #21, #33 are now available as one offs for this race due to their drivers not confirming their presence. If they confirm they’ll race their cars before any one else claims them, they can still race them.

Aaaaaand another DNF. Mr. Penske is not happy. I would've probably been fired by now. Had to study Linear Algebra, so barely no practice. Understeered into the wall. Can't even say "at least I've studied", cause I'll probably fail the test too

Bad day for Penske at his own track. After the two other Penskes retired, I wanted to do a good job here.
Car felt great on worn tires and I was on course for a top 5 until the Ilmor blew.

My car was a bit understeery on full tanks and I had to careful not to overheat the right front tyre but towards the end of a stint it felt good. Fuel mileage was ok and I was looking like a 6th or 7th place finish. I thought I was quicker than my qualifying time and it was quite easy to move up until I reached Ray who had more straight line speed than me but I was faster in the corners but of course you don't overtake in the corners, I had to wait for Ray to slow up a bit to get past. Then around lap 150 the engine blew, maybe I could have increased the cooling before the start but who knows. I wasn't looking forward to this race but it turned out to be quite fun. You seemed awfully quick today! Were you getting the fuel mileage with the Honda? I was running around 2,15 liters a lap, so that would have cut it I think. I however have been playing RF2 a lot recently for GPLaps' HRRC and I forgot I mapped the buttons to change pitstopstrategy differently in AMS.... I was running on low fuel after the first stop because I thought I couldn't change the values... Stupidity ruled. Was a nice introduction to ovals though, I think I made a good choice to run with a stable race setup

Hi all, well my race went as expected, I can't figure out how to make my car work, especially at short ovals, over one lap fine, in the race, well, I couldn't keep the front right from overheating, I was soon overtaken by half the field, it was frustrating, so having said that would anyone be interested in posting there setup, I only say this because there are no more short ovals left, and I'm sure other people might benefit from it to.
Well done to Vadim and podium, the track looked fantastic.

Here's my setup March87C. I increased my wings to stop the right front tyre overheating and also tried not to push the car into the turn 3? (the tight corner).

Changing the rear anti roll bar through out the run is what keeps the front right in check.

After a few laps I would adjust my rear anti roll bar to the max setting.

I kept my rear ARB around 70 N/mm for 99% of the stints. Most of the initial RF heating came from driving too aggressively, which I paid for in the beginning of the race as I fell from 6th to almost last. Thankfully I was able to work my way back up to the top 5/6 again until the engine blew.
I was surprised though since I could push much harder in practice than the race, with the same setup and driving style. No idea what happened.
