Checking the F1 86 archives in 2021, focusing on Arrows performances. It managed to finish 4 races and, as I felt in the more than 2000 km run in tests, its powerful BMW engine is as strong as it is fragile. My main challenge will be to get this car to complete the races. I really liked the challenge thrown by the administrators. I hope I manage to surprise expectations.

Guys, sorry for stupid questions: 1. Fuel - just fill the tank with 195 liters and manage it till the end, no refuelling, right? 2. Tyres - a) what would be a typical tyre strategy? Super soft for quali, then start on Hard and switch to Medium? Or better start on Mediums and finish on Softs? Anyway, I guess one stop is how these race are usually run, correct? b) what about temperatures? What is the value I need to keep it below? 3. Oil/Water temp - is it an issue? The engine seems to be safe when I run boost low enough to manage consumption My only goal is to finish. Is there anything else what I should know as a newbie? Except for "don't crash" Thanks for your feedback

Except for "don't crash" Thanks for your feedback 1. The Lap aim is obviously 3.19 (If I remember correctly) and yes, there is no possability to re-fuel during the races. 2. A: It's all up to you and what car and tire manufacturer +´Engine / Weight you're on. On some tracks, Softs all the way, here either Hards or Mediums, dependent then on the car 1 stop, 2 stop or no stop, up to what you can manage. B: 130 is the limit for when grip is lost in the tire. Optimal temp at end of straights or starting a set of turns, roughly 90-100, unless you want a dangerous entry due to the tires being too cool. Again a question of doing enough laps to get a feel for it. 3: 105 is the safe limit for oil temp. Over-revving into the rev-limiter is the main killer of the engine though.

It's with a lot of pain in my heart that I will have to free my car for my home race.
Besides having problems with my computer I had CoViD with some hard synthoms in the last days and couldn't practice or even think about it. I waited until now but still have no physical conditions for a long Race.
Hope to get back for Jerez.

A few reminders for today's race:
Please test you graphic settings before entering the server for qualifying. This mod is heavy to run and AMS may encounter memory issues. A solution to this problem can be to lower the track and/or opponent details.
The server will be relaunched after qualifying to allow drivers to switch to cars in race configuration. We urge people to remain on the server during qualifying as to avoid lag for other drivers. Please avoid constantly leaving and rejoining.
There is no refuel in the race.
Tyre change delays are variable. Pit stops were less slick in the 80s than today. Sometimes it'll take 12 seconds to change tyres, sometimes your crew will be less well oiled and need 20 seconds or more. The delay can vary within the same race.
If you are being lapped, please avoid using the turbo boost to remain ahead of the faster drivers and hinder their progress. If you're being caught, it means the other drivers are faster for a reason and you're probably slowing them down elsewhere on the track.
The race lasts 61 laps, not 1. Keep that in mind before trying to gain a handful of places going at full boost into the first turn on cold tyres.

I caught Covid for the first time. I'm feeling a little weak and have some stomach and intestinal problems, but I'll try to run anyway. Now it's not just the car that has to resist the 61 laps, it's me too who's fragile.

Really tough weekend in the Tyrrell. Jacob and I did all we could to make the car quick, to no avail. He went out early with engine troubles, I ended up going out after tangling with Minardi early on and a Brabham under blue flags. Tried to make it back to pits and Rocha got caught up in it. Very much apologies to him, I tried to do what I could as everyone should want to not give up their race if possible. Stayed off line and slow. It wasn't enough and compromised your race.
Upgrades for the Tyrrell could not come any sooner..

I was taking it easy pretty much the whole time. No boost at all and temps not above 100C. I had some microstutters which caused the game not to register some shifts, which probably killed the engine. Oh well!

Conngrats David!! What a race!
Just didnt have the pace of the top 4 today and shame for some retirements! 4th in the opening race is a good result for myself! I went hards at the front but felt this was amistake on my part. Just couldnt seem to get the grip down. At the stops i changed to mediums at the front and softs at the rear.
M.Sibanyoni, "interesting blue flag methods from a Brabham" ... i found it very interesting indeed. You seem to not of paid attention to Juha stating do not boost to re overtake or race the cars lapping down a straight. Which you did. twice... Don't have an issue with racing you just would prefer it if we were both on the same lap.
Well done to everyone who finished. Jerez i feel is going to be a killer for me and Gabrielle ! Thanks for the broadcast

Ive decided to not do this season so at least you opened my eyes to my stubborness on that front.

You seem to not of paid attention to Juha stating do not boost to re overtake or race the cars lapping down a straight. Which you did. twice... if you let of for half a second i would have gone by and both of us would have benefitted much more than you seeming to want to race me. Don't have an issue with racing you just would prefer it if we were both on the same lap. Look, I'm not gonna let this thread turn into an argument since that's not the spirit of what we do here, but for the other 30 something laps you were able to get by very quickly and easily. Why would I want to race you, I had nothing to gain, and in the end it was the chain of events that led to Rocha's near-retirement, I've already had enough of David Jundt's complaining, not you too. We were side by side on the straight and imagined you had the speed as you would normally have for most of the race you did lap me -- to pass me at the left hander after the straight. I ran the same 2.70 boost for the entire time I was racing, otherwise I would not make it to the end on fuel.

So unlucky Jules you had that one. I kept on pushing in case you had any fuel issues but I couldn't really close the gap. I guess that you didn't stop and ran hard compound tyres. I knew that my car would be ok in the race but a poor qualifying pace put me 10th on the grid. It was difficult to get past cars early on and a lot of time was lost being safe. Towards the end of each stint I had to be careful with my rear tyres as they were quite worn, this lead to a little spin towards the end of the race and that's when I decided to settle for 2nd only for Jules to hit trouble. My second ISO win. Thanks for the broadcast I'll watch it soon.

Well lets let it be, like Juha explained, if you are being lapped, it's easier to lift and let the other car go before the braking zone, it's safer for everybody, and i trust most people abided, or will abide to this. Anyways, it was a very fun race to watch, and i hope this competitiveness will continue Shame for the Lotus team, but Congratulations for Mr Dave Sabre, long time coming!

I ran the same 2.70 boost for the entire time I was racing, otherwise I would not make it to the end on fuel. I mean, you could have just let off the throttle Matthew. Feels like you’re looking for someone to blame Matthew. Let’s just agree to disagree and look forward to next race. My PM's are open if you want to discuss it in more detail, or lodge a protest if you think it was that bad. I was doing the same for everybody else, if I am really the bad guy, just have me penalised. I do not want to argue with anyone as I like this community and try to do as much for it as I can to not burn any bridges. This is my first F1 series ever with ISO, I know I will make mistakes, I am pretty firm I think on what I can and can't do, I felt staying at a constant pace that I was always doing was the right decision and that you would make your way around. Anyways, I said it also in the stream chat and so did Angel May, it's in the past now, it can't be changed.

Happy to come back to ISO and driving again these Turbo Cars of F1. I have some problems in Qualy, it was very hard to make a clean lap, but it wasn't bad my 20th position.
But the race setup was unbelievable (thanks to Gabrielle del Piccolo) and I took a good pace at Warmup. At race I make a good start, jumping to 13th position, and by the better cars performances I had lost some positions but facing the Jacob's Tyrrell. This AGS can make good races when well set. But at 24th lap my engine blew after Jules passed me to give one lap, and shifting down to take the "Curva Sul" the Motori Moderni shut off and race over!
Now, I hope take one-off car again to drive in Jerez!

Well done to David, your race pace was very fast. I must admit to abusing my engine, but it blew with Jan right behind ending his race to, feel bad for that. The race was very intense and I look forward to the next one.
congrats to all who finished and thanks for the broadcast.
