I was kind of surviving on P15 or whatever it was. But then I run out of the track at the hairpin. I knew there was something wrong. Then while braking into another corner the car pulled severely to the right. I run off the track again and made a contact with one Brabham. Sorry for that, I hope I didn't cause any damage. And then I arrived to the last corner and the car pulled to the right again and I finally ended up in the barriere. Cause of the retirement - Brakes. That explains it all.

yeah, the Tyrrell is pure pain. Quite fun to get it going, as I did in the first 6 laps or so, but it is such a hustle to just keep on track here that I couldn't muster for longer.
Up until now, it has just been a stress test. At least at Imola the car can stretch its legs, and now I think I know the limits of these cars (didn't participate in the first '86 season we did). Looking forward to the faster tracks and to our '86 machine.

A poor qualifying again as I only managed 10th on the grid. I made a good start and moved up to 7th and then it was keep pushing and got up to 4th, probably pushing too hard as a few mistakes were made. Towards the end of the race I had managed to get back in touch with the leaders after Jules made a pitstop and I somehow managed to get past him when a slower car appeared to distract him. Juha was leading and I thought that he hadn't stopped so there could be a chance to get the lead. After catching Juha he was very slow around turn 4 and I had to go to the inside or I would have hit him (sorry Juha for pushing the door open). After getting to the lead and having a small battle with Jules I realised that I had used too much fuel and while trying to decide what to do I ran off the track and hit the armco at a shallow angle which damaged the car a bit. Then it was try and save fuel until the end of the race with a trip into the gravel on the final corner . 5th place finish I'll take it. Congratulations to Jules , Ray and Juha. Thanks for the broadcast .

After a bad qualifying where I blew 2 engines and made a time 3 seconds slower than I could in training, I started in 21st place. I started well and managed to gain a position by disputing with Ruben and I looked for a safe pace, trying to follow the cars in front as close as possible. Trying to open up some advantage over Ruben, I made a mistake 3 times when changing gears and that terrified me. The fragile BMW engine would hardly be able to finish the race after having taken the revs beyond the red. I started changing gears at a maximum of 10,000 RPM and with that, Ruben passed me and CC too, but a few laps ahead, CC crashed the car and I got back to 18th place. The race became monotonous at that point. Limited by the fragility of the engine, I continued at a pace of 1:38, always focused on engine temperature and not exceeding the revs. Until Tim Hille had an accident and spent a long time fixing the car. As I had no one else behind me, I decided to pick up the pace and did some laps in 1:35 and 1:36 in the hope of catching Hille and being the first BMW-powered car to finish the race. I got to be 20 seconds behind Hille in the hope that his car was not doing well, but Hille quickly started to open up an advantage and I settled for once again finishing in 11th place, equaling my position in the Brazilian GP. Congratulations to Jules for the brilliant and masterful victory, the ending was emotional. Congratulations to the transmission team for another excellent job.

Qualifying session was difficult as I started with my laptop because it does not stutter compared to desktop, but then it crashed, probably because of the server issues. So I switched to my desktop and it was mostly fine throughout qualy and the race, stutter-wise. It kept crashing during qualifying though so I am lucky to have gotten pole. The race was just making a good start as I knew passing would be very difficult here. I could not run anything softer than hards or the LF would heat up too much, although mediums might have been okay with 20 laps to go with less fuel on board. Still I enjoyed the hard battles with Juha, David, Ray, and Grant. Sorry for barging through there Juha. I wanted to pass more cleanly but those McLarens were so fast, and I did not want to risk using boost. Just happy the engine survived and both Lotuses came home in the points. Imola will be harder on fuel I'm sure! As a side note, I am happy to copy Senna and Wilks' record in winning at Jerez in this car.

Very bad race. I would like to appologise to anyone who feelt shoved whilest racing. Did not make the cleanest of moves to day. I believe Coxon, Nilsson and Rocha is in that list. Not easy to pass here and there was brilliant defending, but I should have been more precise from my part. Congratulations to Jules and all the finishers.

Certainly had some better race pace than Rio but I was caught in a bottle neck. Some very aggressive driving that damaged my car so that doesn't please me. Decided to pit early to try and get some clear air and try the undercut. That plan was ruined though with a 22 second pitstop. After the stops I was 10 seconds behind Anders, managed to get within 2 seconds but then the engine died.
Congrats to Jules on the win and the rest of the podium. Congrats to my teammate to, great effort in the car.
Thanks to Jason and Alberto for the broadcast. Great as ever.
See you at Imola.

I enjoyed my race until it lasted.
Started on mediums and was looking good to try and go without a stop. Had a mistake and half spun once by being greedy on gas, other than that no other issues. Hopefully I didn't cause much disturbance for faster cars. Only happened once I think that I took inside line and slowed down a bit for a train of 3 faster cars and last of them didn't seem to acknowledge I would need just a bit of space at corner entry as well. Still, no contact made luckily.
Engine gave up by 41 lap(44 of leaders, maybe). Raced with boost off all the time, only turned on once for overtaking. Had some missed gears, 3 times I think, hardly ever over revs but engine was on the limit at 105C still.
Again, big thanks to admins work and of course broadcasting team!

Overall, I'm happy with points but I can't help but feel that I should have been fighting for the win last night...
Practice: I had a setup going that I was happy with but Anders and Juha did a bit of work on a setup which was a lot quicker so I tried that, did a couple of tweaks, which helped ease the immense oversteer to make it more managable. Sadly, the setup was still very oversteery on older tires, which caught me out in the race. Late setups... I need to stop doing that...
Qualifying: I'm starting to feel like ISO's Lauda of '84... Qualify, relative to the cars' potential, poorly and then be up towards the front come end of the race. Sadly the server issues (Windows being windows), I only got 1 mistake free attempt in, lining me up in 13th on the grid.
Race: Had a slow start. Was taking it a bit too easy and I think I was in 14th by the end of Lap 1.
Got stuck in the train led by Kayo, behind Luciano in the Lotus. I could see the leaders getting down to the laptimes I knew I could also do early but with the dirty air, a worry about the fuel and the turbo knob in a bad place on my hardware setup, I couldn't do the boost-pass that is technically the way to go about it in the series proper.
Bided my time for a few laps until the tires came up to temperature and pressure and then set about trying to make my way past. Was able to pass the cars in front, especially making use of the outside line at T1. Also made a couple of moves after the tight-ish chicane into T7, which ended up being my preffered passing spot. On lesser machinery it was a good spot, against the higher end machinery (McLaren, Lotus and Williams especially), it was a bad spot due to the higher amount of dirty air that they produced.
Come lap 14 or so, I was past Kayo and was hunting after Tim. Took me about 5 laps to catch up the 9 or so seconds I was behind and he made it fairly easy for me to go by once I showed my nose. During that time, I was also setting quite fast laps compared to most others, but that also ate the tires so, all in all, I was setting myself up for a pit-stop, something I had hoped to avoid. I then chased after Grant, setting further fast times and caught up after another 5-6 laps. By then I recon he was working fuel numbers and moved over to let me by, I'm much obliged mate, thank you.
From then on it was a lonely race for about 10 laps or so, trying to catch up to the McLaren of DS ahead. Come lap 30, I was close enough to get my first taste of the dirty air. Sat there for 3 laps trying to find an opening to go by. Only real place was into T1, but I never got a good enough exit out of TLast during those laps, so took the decision when looking at the wear of the tires and the fact I felt stuck, to pit and hope that Il Commendante had given the pit-crew a talking to to make it a quick one. Sadly they were enjoying their red drinks a bit too much so it ended up being a lot slower, some 7 seconds, compared to the better organised Britishmen in the McLaren pits.
Spent the opening laps out of the pits behind Tim, was hoping to get out ahead, but I missed to get it into gear. When I finally got past I had a very good pace. Did what I could to catch back up and so I did. Caught up to DS and sat there for a few laps, then I made my move down at T7 but a few turns later I had a bit too much adrenaline and I had my first caught-out moment from the setup being looser than I would have liked. It turbo-kicked me sideways, I had to correct it, and I just barely put the tires over the curbing going into the final sector and the car got dragged into the kitty-litter.
A few swear-words later (sorry to everyone in TS at the time, I lost my head in the final quarter of the race...) I got going and set about trying to catch back up. It turned out to be more difficult as everyone was getting quicker with the fuel burning off. Finally I got close enough to feel the blood-hound curse looming again, much thanks to Juha trying to hold onto the lead, sorry to see him spin off and before that loosing the lead.
Was able to catch up to Ray who was now behind David, and was sitting there thinking about how to get past him when David went off in the 2nd to last turn. Was trying but again got caught out by the turbo-kick of the car and went off in the same place, darn and blast...
By then the lead was out of reach, sadly, but 2nd and 3rd was still up for grabs, as they had used too much fuel. Was able to drag past David through the first lefthander of Sector 2, and was catching Ray hands over fist and had to chose a side. Sadly, to me, it looked like he was going to defend the inside, went for the right side going towards the last turn when Ray took his usual line which saw me having to get on the grass to not make contact, ran off the road into the kitty-litter for a 3rd time tonight (not at all how I envisioned the race ending half a lap prior) and rejoined to finish in 4th behind Juha.
So, all in all, very happy with the pace I was able to get out of the car and the general drive and clean passes, I think, I don't think I made any bad passes last night, unless I've forgotten about it. But can't help but think still that it should have been a fight for the win with Jules...
But oh well, if this was anything to go by, Imola should be a very good track for the Ferrari, I just hope I will be able to give it the run it deserves. Congrats to Jules, Ray and Juha for the podium finishes and to all finishers and participants.

Too bad Alan, you had been putting pressure on me and our pace was cool. Experience the maximum temperature of 103 and shift gears at the maximum of 10500. Your engine will stay alive until the end. As Wilks said, turning red is crucial for these engines.

Race started well , had the pace to keep up front and after Grant let me and David pass I could keep up with Juha, a missed gear let David bye but he had a slight off and I was with Juha again, pitted half way with a 12sec stop, then put in a few fast laps to catch up to the leaders, then started saving fuel, Jonaton caught up fast so i upped the pace again, when he spun i thought Had second in the bag, but then I realized I hadn’t enough fuel, with two laps to go I had four liters left, I entered the last turn with less than a liter and spluttered over the line, phew.
Thanks for some great racing, well done to Jules and Juha, on to Imola.
