I had an ok start, I made a few mistakes while fighting for position (almost a big collision with Wilks by my pass attempt) and some near misses because of lag, but nothing that couldn't be fixed late in the race.
Then it came to the swap and it got f***ked up AGAIN! Naoki left the "riding with" state just before I boxed.
I got a drive through but decided to try and get the swap done. The swap failed twice... Again the same thing.
I tried to box but miscalculated and almost destroyed Jason's car, which I apologise for. There is instructions on how to swap properly, I told Naoki this after Kyalami. Very angry right now.

Disconnect, what a shame. It was on my end, not sure what exactly caused it.

Finally had a finish again in this series. Had some amazing battles all throughout the race and just barely made it across the line with 0.2 L of fuel to spare.

Phew, what a race! Finally a finish again, but 10th was the best I could manage. The car was handling really nice, but overall, disturbingly slow down the straights. Its pretty irritating, when you're at the limit of your fuel allocation, and everyone just whoozes past you down the straights. First stint, I had a few nice battles, a very intense one with Filipo, with Matthew in for some extra excitement. Filipo was initially faster down the straights, but my car handled better, and his superior speed probably came from a more liberate boost setting. Anyways, after a few laps, where I closely studied his diffusor, I finally passed him. Through the last turn. On the outside line! Just epic! Thanks for that great fight, dude! In the second stint, I consolidated my position, not much to achieve in front of me, but there was something brewing up behind me: Luciano wrestled Filipo down, as well, and he was potentially quicker than me, and just some 10 seconds behind. But I got the better fuel economy, so I could pit a lap later. That extra fuel helped me in the last stint, with two laps down, I could go a bit more generous with the boost, and it was neccessary, because Luciano slowly crept up to me. Some pretty intense 36 laps were still to be driven, and not only, I used some more fuel, I was generally going harder, which lead to a few hairy situations and missed braking points, and Luciano got within 3 seconds of me. I had to lap myself back a couple of times, to keep my pace and the distance to Luciano. But in the end, he apparently had to slow down, and I finished some 30-something seconds ahead of him, and a lap down to the next car. If I wasn't lapped a third time by the leaders in the last laps, I would have ended with 1 1/2 litres left, so I was pretty save. 10th, that is okay.
So, a couple of body parts really hurt now. Guess I'm no longer 20...

Well, short and frustrating race in the Nimrod.
Was able to have a little fight with Simon and David, but from 5 laps in the tires were flat-spotted and 10 laps in they were starting to square off. Survived until around Lap 32, when the tires were so squared that they just didn't give any grip in the final turn, slipped off and head-on collision with the tirestacks along the armco.
Oh well, hopefully Silverstone will be kinder to the braking performance of the car.
