The #14 Nissan is available as a one off due to its driver not confirming his presence.

I can't.... i can't participate... dad has been in a medically enduced coma when his health deteriorated.... he's now slowly waking up... and hopefully he might get better... but his lever is at stage 4... i can't sleep well for over 3 days now... and even tho i was looking forward... it's getting to me...
I hope the next weekend he's gonna be better.... else i might have to withdraw from ISO completely for the time being...

Take care and be with your dad as much as you can, he will for sure perceive your closeness and that will comfort him. As for my races tonight, two to forget. Brands and me never got along together, and I still can't find my way around the FWD understeer no matter what I try. Even if the car feels decent on an empty track, I am way too slow compared with the rest of the grid, and on such a short track it quickly becomes a blue flags galore.

Similar story as Alberto's, and we had a run-in or two tonight. I'm trying to find an efficient way around Brands Hatch since GPL, and haven't found a solution that ain't the choice between being dead slow and destroying my left front, or being slow and completely destroying my left front. BH Indy makes things even worse, and now add FWD to the mix. I turned every know and dial on the setup in any direction, nothing seems to have an effect on the setup. Five laps in, and my left front is over 125 degrees, and from there, grip and balance never come back. I have to dial the setup pretty far out to make the car even turn, and boy, it drives terrible!
Which caught me bad at the beginnig of Race 1, when I came halfways decent through the first half lap, but upon entering McLaren, the car would not stop rotating to the left and sent me in the barrier, where I of course lost my front bumper. I tried a lap withougt, but the ballance was so awefully off, I did a quick repair stop. A little bit to quick, actually, as I was handed a drive through. So, I served the DT, and rejoined right when the bulk of the field had passed me the second time around. I did my very best to be careful and stayed as far to the right as I could, nontheless, I got tagged from behind. No thanks for that...
I was second to last and could quickly close the gap to Simon and Jason ahead, and stayed there for a while, because it wouldn't do anything to my position. But then, I realised that David in the Pug was quickly fetching up, and I wasn't prepared to end up last tonight, so I worked myself around Simon and Jason and could quickly open up a gap. I was lapped another time, and two more cars crashed out, which handed me two more positions, but the race was mostly forgettable.
Race 2 began with a not so grand start and I lost a few positions, and it became quite crowded and I found myself in 13th or so. Then I closely followed Alberto, with the intention to fetch him through Paddock Hill Bend and Druids, but I was a bit closer than anticipated and sent him sideways. I went to the left and had to let a few cars through to hand him the position back, and there I was again, second to last. I had a few interesting scraps with Alberto, Simon, Jason and Christian, at some point, positions sorted themselves out. Towards the end, I could make up some time to Christian, but the race was a bit to short to catch him. In the end, the car was a bit more competitive than initially anticipated, but it still feels wrong in about every place.
I'm glad to return to some proper race tracks, but I'm sure not happy to visit this place two more times this year...

Fun evening racing guys!
Always have a soft spot for Brands, living practically just down the road it’s always nice for me to drive here!
Race 1 was just exhausting.. I made a mistake and then found myself behind Dave who I have to say, put on a faultless defensive drive, if it wasn’t for fuel issues I simply had no answer to get by! Great race!
Race 2 I made a good start with Softs and tried to make them last, which I feel wouldn’t have if Anders didn’t spin.. I could see him closing and I think a win for him was there! Another good race !
Thanks all!!

Race two i got equal good start but with Grants on soft i had to yeld . Halfway thru the race i felt i was gaining on him got within a sec i spun . Lost 2nd to Jonatan gained it back out off Druids but by that time Grant was to far ahead . Never been a fan off this Brands but i might have to reconsider! Lapping went flawless wd guys

Well, a far better showing than last time.
Practice: It was interesting to see that Brands is again a good track for me, even though the Volvo felt rather ungainly and wallowy around the place. Pace was there, improvements were made in the setup during last night, and all was well.
Q1: Was difficult to get the utmost pace out of the car and with the field really tight, every thousands of a second was worthwhile to find.
Towards the end, I smacked the Soft tires on and did 2 laps, with the first lap very quick but ended up cutting Paddock, 2nd lap was almost as quick and it was just enough to eek out the pole position, by .021 seconds, with less than half a tenth covering the top 5.
R1: Got a so-so start, with quite a bit of wheel spin, but was able to hold the other FWD's behind but Grant came up around the outside at Paddock. We then ran side by side through Druids and I decided to brake as late as I possibly could into Graham Hill to make it difficult for him and he broke a fraction later than me and ran wide, with me cutting back underneath and continuing in 2nd place, with Anders having out-started me.
I could tell quite early on that I wouldn't be able to stick with Anders in the true sense of the word, but I'd try my best to keep within a distance where I'd hopefully be able to take advantage if something happened.
It didn't and Niklas was keeping me honest, but with lappings we all spaced out further and 2nd place was a well-worth reward, despite dealing with a cold.
Q2: Second qualifying was as difficult as the first and while I had a couple of times I was up, tiny errors saw me not improve, so 5th on the grid for the 2nd race was my situation.
R2: Sadly Niklas blew his motor on the Formation Lap, it could have been an interesting battle for positions in the race had that not happened. At the start, like in the first race, Ricardo had a lackluster start, I was able to start better but Anders and Grant shot out of the gates like Greyhounds, nothing that could be done about that.
Had Ricardo giving me a run for my money while Grant opened the gap and Anders in pursuit of him a bit ahead, consistently pulling away once again.
Made changes to the car, which made it faster, but the tirewear was a bit worse so the longer the race went, the worse it became to drive. Anders made a mistake and span, allowing me up into 2nd but it was a matter of time, as I couldn't consitently get through Paddock at speed towards the end, and I chose to defend on the wrong side of the road into Druids and Anders outbroke me well into Graham Hill.
So drove to finish in the final laps, hoping for another mistake but Anders and Grant kept it together and 3rd was the reward in the 2nd race.
Overall very happy to be best of the rest in both races, a good haul of points towards the championship hunt. If this race was anything to go by, this championship is going to be a very close affair with 10 drivers open to pick up wins and good points in the championship.

It was a good event with good racing. Given the pace I had, I am a bit disappointed with the overall result though. Qualified P4 for the first race. I made a good start and passed Ricardo for P3. After some laps Grant showed up behind, clearly having less tyre temperature trouble with the BMW. He tried to outbrake me into Paddock, we made slight contact and he spun, dropping back to P5. After that it was quite a static race for me. The gap to Jonatan was consistent at ~2 seconds while Dave was about 5 seconds behind. P3 until the finish. Qualy for race 2 was better. I could almost reproduce time from practice for P2 on the grid. All was going well in the race. Until turn 2 of the formation lap, that is. While warming up the tyres I apparently overrevved the engine so badly it exploded. Hope you all got a good laugh out of it . Started from the pitlane and made up some places which was quite fun. I was back into P12 by the beginning of the last lap. There was an incident in front so I closed right up to David who was running P10. I tried to outbrake him into the last corner but the space just wasn't there and we made contact. Sorry for that. We were both able to go on and finish P10 (David) and P12 (me). So no harm done. Looking foward to Thruxton, maybe I can do two races without silly mistakes there.
