No. We said in the broadcast that, once a time is set which qualifies a car in the field, they can not have another attempt.

A big thank you to everyone helping put this on, it's one thing to herd 33+ cats and more than a few of you are racing as well- no trivial feat. The show ran exceptionally smoothly especially considering what seems to have been a significant number of wave-offs.
Very happy to have put my unremarkable '72 Eagle within eyesight of the front row, there were some could'ves should'ves and would'ves left out there but the main thing I took away was how challenging these things are to tame in qualifying trim. I'm not sure the 200hp deficit to 1973 makes up for the lack of wing, greased pigs slip less than these things.

That one was tighter than anticipated, and I'm not sure what to think of the fact I just made the field. Bumping would have become interesting, I'd granted Francisco and Filippo another stab at my spot. But anyways.
Excpet for the fact I couldn't really get more speed out of the car, though I think, that was more down to a personal limit than one on the car (I had four different setups, that all settled in at 48.08 as a best) what made things more interesting were some unexpected events in the afternoon. I went for a walk, because you can't hang around on the couch for the whole sunday. Planned with a 45 minutes margin to get some laps before my Q run to get accustomed to the feeling of the car and the speed. Then I met someone I haven't seen in 5 years, chatted for 20 minutes, exchanged numbers, and went along. Okay, a few minutes less for preparation, but still work out okay. And then, there's that little shortcut behind the gardens. Went there. Saw a lonesome rollator. Next to the rollator lies an old man, unable to stand up and slightly bleeding from the forehead. Asked him, if he needs some help, got an completely inadequate answer and apparently, he hurt his knee, as well. Couldn't tell me where he lived, nor whom he belonged to, so I made an emergency call. So much for my margin. And as I was on a shortcut, they wouldn't find it right away, so they had to call back for my exact position. Finally an ambulance arrived and took care of the man, a few more questions I had to answer, then they let me go, I rushed home and just made it on the server, but I was completely cold, thus I binged my first attempt. Juha put me on the end of the group for my second run, though I would have prefered to go to the end of the line. But it in the end, it was just enough, even though missing about half a second on each lap to what was possible. That evening got more exciting than thought!

The Time Trials Broadcast now has time codes in the description section, so you don't have to go hunting for specific qualy runs; they are all bookmarked for you to view at your leisure
