Hi, I completely reinstalled my PC, as I bought an SSD (M.2) on Thursday. When I joined the server tonight, I found out that AMS doesn't run smoothly. There are like hundreds of microlags. It's not impossible to drive, but it's extremely annoying. It's definitely no hardware issue, as everythig else runs butter smooth with the new disc. And it didn't do it with the old HDD either. I tried several things, changed refresh rate, turned V-sync on and off, set FPS limiter on and off, nothing helped. Apart from that, I got disconnected from the race, which is also very rare... What am I missing? i5-7500, GTX1070, 16MB RAM, FPS never goes under 55 even with everything maxed out and full grid, it's rather 70-80 during the race.

Are those thelags when someone joins, or does it happen all the time? Also, does it happen offline?

No no, Alberto. This is different kinnd of lagging, it's more like a stutter. It's clearly visible that it stutters several times a second, all the time. Also, FPS is actually very low, I used to have 160-200 before that reinstall. And yes, it does it offline, too. Different cars, mods. There's something wrong with overall settings of AMS.

It could also be dependent on weather you've got a wheel made for USB 2.0 plugged into a USB 3.0, I've had that affect stuttering on occasion.
It's difficult to say for sure what could be causing it, I suppose you could try to verify the game-cache by right cliking on AMS in the Steam list --> Properties --> Local Files --> Verify game cache. It could be that you're missing a file or something wasn't installed correctly when you installed the game.

Thanks guys, I'll have to investigate it. It's really weird. Everything is plugged in exactly the same way it was before, CPU and GPU are running at 50%, RAM only 30%, yet FPS is low and it stutters non-stop. Let the fun begin...

Were your GFX drivers lately? Didn't affect my setup, but there was an update for Radeon just these days.

I think I got it. My monitor makes 144Hz, but it was set to only 60Hz on NVIDIA control panel. No matter how I set the AMS Config, it stuttered. As soon as I switched to 144Hz on NVIDIA, it seems to work fine.
