I was on the WEC server yesterday. And my game froze constantly. Especially in the pits (low speed) whilest turning. On the track itself it never happened. To try to trobbleshoot the issue I went on this server with the F1 58 and the game froze yet again right away. I did'nt even manage to turn the car in the pits.
I have checked all my own settings. Reverted FFB for any spikes, new update for R9 (did'nt help). Changed FPS limit setting (did'nt help) Lowered graphics settings (No difference). I then went on AMS 2 (online) did two races without problems. I rarely never have crashes and discos may happen at most once a year out of probably 25-30 races.
I do have a 'third-party' software for another game. I suspected this could be a cause since it handles (X-input) so I removed my wheel setting there to avoid conflict. After that I actually did 10 laps (more than before) and with no worries exiting pits. I thought then I had solved it. But reading others also having issues this might just have been an fluke.
For me this is not a mod issue. And if my last change did'nt help I do feel something is not right with or against the server itself.
Forgot to mention but I can drive offline without any issues

I do have a 'third-party' software for another game. I suspected this could be a cause since it handles (X-input) so I removed my wheel setting there to avoid conflict. This is actually what helped me. Hav'nt had any issues after I removed my inputs in this software. I would recommend anyone having simular freeze issues to look for any external software or hardware that may be causing simular issues. Could be Logitech software or maybe even a (unused/too many) loose controller causing conflict. I for instance have got 4 controllers connected, wich might not be optimal. Maybe you have wheel inputs somwhere else for instance without knowing it. AMS is great but sadly not very well otimized. As an totally different example I had too stop racing here because my old 'low end' PC (with good enough specs) had an optimazition issue towards AMS when the last update came a long while ago. My hardware was in my case just a bad combo towards the game. When I downgraded it worked but then ofcouse not online. In the same way I have had (still have at times) connection issues while entering the server where I will be kicked out with in 3 min when inactive. This only happens once, after that I'm ok. That's why I sometimes don't like to chat when entering (not too be rude) since I want to get any disconnects out of my way (especially raceday). This is what happened to me in Imola F186. Since the 'slow' formation lap & the first lap doesn't count as sectors (in the log file) . I discoed crossing the finishing line (lap 1) more than 3 min into the race. I have troubleshoot this to my modem wich is'nt great in terms if settings. Where I have opened up all my ports to prevents this (outbound & inbound). I have also tested setting my gear change to a invisible 'chat command' since the way AMS work sectors are reported in the same way as chat messages (a log file). Meaning each gear change I am active 'chating away' being active despite beeing in the pits or stuck in a gravel trap. However I am not sertain this really works just an tip I found out there. We are to explain it simple only really beeing active crossing a sector once in a while. The game has a hard time knowing where we are at if where not. Thinking we are out and might therefore kick you. Simply put did you disco at sector 'timing beacon' you might have a modem issue. If not at a timing point its something else. I hope any if this can help anyone having issues. My game is quite stable know but theres been alot of headscratching.

Thanks for the tip John!
I have closed all apps using shared memory (in my case it was SimCommander) and I have been CTD-free since.
