Congratulations Ray. I'm not sure how you did it but well done. I can't get the hang of these qualifying tyres and had to start 11th, 3 seconds off my teammate who was on pole. In the race I managed to hang on and overtake a few cars and I was on 8th place with it looking like that would be where I would finish. I did finish 4th due to retirements after taking it easy for most of the race. EDIT: Well done to Jules on winning the championship, you have been consistently fast all year. Thanks for the broadcast another top notch one.

^^Same with the Q tyres. You really have to be balls to the wall committed to make the most of them, which I wasn't... A lot of fun playing catch-up after making 2 and a half silly mistakes. Pedals slipped out of place early on and I think I had a tiny bit of suspension damage after contact with a Benetton. Subsequently binned it into the gravel and just managed to sneak back on after a lot of fussing with the clutch, before spinning it exiting T3. Reckon those combined cost me a good 45s-1min, so my mind went to attack and turned the engine up to gain some time. Didn't realise how long I must have been running on a higher boost (between the 2nd and 3rd settings), and it became obvious that I'd seriously messed up with about 15-20 laps remaining. An attempt at a lot of lift-coast and shifting as early as (I thought) I could, but that was only enough to stretch the fuel load by an extra lap. I needed at least 3 to make it to the end. So those last 4-5 laps were spent chugging around at 20s below what I should've been running, happily just about rolling over the line. For my first race in these cars (admittedly in the Williams), I'm well pleased with 2 points. Thanks for organising these events and look forward to the next one

For me, this race was a waste of time. During qualifying, 2 engines exploded without exceeding 19500rpm. In the race, it was tough to see Niklas' AGS pass me about 20 km/h faster. I didn't spend any time at 10500 rmp, the engine temperature didn't rise above 102 degrees. I made 2 small escapes from the track without falling into the gravel and these were my only mistakes in the race so that on lap 56 I saw the BMW engine on fire. Extremely frustrating, no BMW engine finished the race, they all broke down.

Let my vehicle stall before the formation lap and had to start the race from the pits. I think I had my setup completely wrong, I was soo slow on the straights. I tried to don't mess up with the fast cars race as they went by lapping me but a Ferrari did a small bump on my rear, that was total my fault since I braked too early. If that person reads this I'm sorry, hope no damage was done by that. Besides the limitation of the car it was a good race, could do some laps until the Motori- Moderni gave up on the straight trying to push the heavy drag car to bigger speeds. See you guys next race and congratz to the finishers.

Had a fun evening myself dnf including.. but first off, Jules fantastic season and well done for the championship. Consistent and strong pace all round! Well done! Had a good starting position next to Dad, first time ever we lined the grid so was definitely an exciting start for us. Managed to get into a rhythm and kept the fuel low and tire wear minimal. Engine heat was marginal which in the end caught up to me. Engine gave up around half way! Shame but there you go! Dads first ever ISO win I believe - long time coming I think too! Good to see it happen !

thanks David Sabre and Grant Riddall ! I must say this Lotus 98T that Richard Wilks made is just an amazing car. It's not easy to drive but somehow it really suits my driving style, which was apparent to me when I first drove it at Jacarepaguá. Just a pure joy to drive. The engine, while not as unreliable as others, was still the limiting factor for me (top speed deficient and tendency to overheat), although the torque is great. The car drove perfectly at Estoril and I could have won, if not for the high ambient/track temps. In practice sessions I had no issues with keeping a safe oil temp with lower ambient temps. In other words, I was handicapped by the oil temp and it was a struggle keeping it below 105C. As a result, my fuel economy was too good as well since I was lifting and coasting more than needed just to keep the oil temp on a safe value. Very frustrating race but that's how it is. Congrats to John on 2nd (didn't look easy to drive that Ligier) and Ray on his first win at ISO. Good to see so many different winners in this series. I'm looking forward to the last two races, especially Adelaide since I love that track.

Q : A struggle had a hard time getting a lap in P8. Race: Got off to a good start didnt take long before i realized i had to back off, engine started to overheat. Portugal had a heatwave hotter than any time during practice. Still it was a good race some nice batteling with J.Thim T.Hille and R. Ridall . Despite not running hot although two mishifts my Bemmer engine decided enough is enough . Grats to Ray for victory John for second and Jules who has been the dominant this season .Grats to championship Boys in the booth

Another time i was very close to the goal.. Decent Q lap although i missed a gear on last sector , but enough to found a spot on second row. Started from 4th with a bit too much wheelspin, Juha and John got past me, meanwhile Ray was almost stuck on the right lane. First 4 laps to warmup the tires keeping behind Benettons in 5th place, I overtook Juha on lap 5 on the outside of vip corner, outdragged John on lap 7 and Jules on lap 10. But I missed gears 2-3 times.... My good pace allowed me to chatch up with Grant little by little, reducing progressively the boost. My tires were in a very good shape so on lap 31 i could outdrag him at the end of the main straight. But 1-2 Brabham won't last anymore... He lost power meanwhile i went for my scheduled pit to get fresh Softs.. Resumed on 3rd, after a couple of laps found myself in 1st place after seeing Jules stuck behind Drechsler spinning. 30 laps to go and pit window ended up for all the frontrunners, i was strolling with 40s gap to Anders on mid-low boost. Lap 53 and his BMW had enough, so i had more gap to 2nd, John. Thinking only about finish the race, i lowered the boost until 2.00 bar (a lot less then i scheduled for the end..)and engine temps were absolutely in safety zone. And... on lap 64 my engine said bye bye . Lasted twice than Grant's,but not enough to cross the chequerd flag. Car was magic, reliability still remains the weakness point. Congrats to Ray, he well menaged the recovery from midfield and Jules who won this championship mostly on 2nd part menaging well his gap on points

Really happy to win at last, I wasn't looking forward to this track, but as soon as I started practising the Maclaren was planted, and in qualy trim it felt even better. To my surprise I hooked what felt like one of my best laps to date and stuck it on pole next to Grant This was a first for us and I enjoyed every second of that formation lap leading Grant round However, I then had probably my worst start ever , somehow managed to claw my way back to seventh having a good fight with Anders and John before my pit stop, this is where I lost 12 seconds to them. After this I worked my way back up to John which after Gabriele's and Anders's retirements, suddenly turned into a fight for the lead. I couldn't pass on the straight as we were both boosting up, so made a move into the parabolica bend and it paid off, now in the lead John started to ease allowing me to to back off and take the win. My first ever at ISO and couldn't be happier with it! Well done to Jules for the championship Jason and Ryan too, thanks for the broadcast.

Well done Ray on your first win, it's well deserved, and Jules for winning the championship.
My qualifying went okay, about as good as it gets with the Ferrari at this point of the season. At the start I was in doubt about the tyre choice. I went for softs. My start was great, and by the end of the first lap I was sure about my tyre choice... being completely wrong. They overheated so badly I dropped like a stone and by lap 20 I was barely ahead of Jonatan who'd started from the back of the grid. The engine was also overheating like there was no tomorrow, things looked bad.
I stopped early and went for a different compound. It wasn't great, but at least I was able to keep up with the cars surrounding me. With the points scoring positions in sight, I missed a gear and within two seconds the Ferrari did what it does best: blow up.
Up to Mexico now. The championship is gone so I'll just go for broke, and pray the car will agree to last the distance.

Great race! Credit goes to my bro' for the Race setup I gambled late on having only tested it during warmup. His was spot on! I never got to rest, great fights with Anders, Jules, Hille and Ray. Inherited the lead with 6 to go. Shame about Gabrielle and Grant amazing pace there.
Congratulation to Ray! Good pass I was thinking to much on my fuel. And rightly so. With 3 to go my spotter told me I had 2 laps of fuel! The thing is thirsty! Don't know how but manage to save for an extra lap coasting, then ran out of fuel over the line. Without Jules running wide you would have got me. Congrats on the championship, well deserved! Also nice to see the Zakspeed punching above its weight. Suprised and happy with 2nd!
