Unfortunately, I am going to have to pull out from tonight as I have family coming to visit and I have no idea what time they will leave, so there will be a free spot for someone who wants to take the #2 BMW 320i.

For those of you trying to join, and seeing the session is closed, join for the warmup, and do a qualy lap then, and your lap will count for the grid.

Fun race, always good to be back on track even if so much out of the pace Feeling sooooo rusty, but anyway no big errors on my side, no accidents and slowly improving laptimes, feeling very good on the car. Must miss race two, but see you on the next one

A fitting end to a less than stellar season. Good news was I found a second in Q, and got up to something like 11th. First start was decent, found myself in a nice battle, but that dissolved soon. In front of me, Jules and Gabriel had a little fight and I was able to slowly close the gap again, but then Gabriel spun around and I made the wrong choice trying to pass him to the inside. That probably cost me my splitter and a slight fender damage to the front left. The car was still going okay, though, and I could hold my position, but then I clipped the inside curb of the first chicane in an unfortunate way and hit the tire barrier. A red light indicating damage is never a good sign, so I quit.
11th in Q2, again, had a bit to much wheelspin at the start, and into the first corner, things got ... complicated. T3, and my car was decorated on all four ends, but the car would still go well. What followed was a very fun battle between Richard, David and I think, a Volvo was in the mix, too. I started several attacks on David, but even though my car had some slight advantages here and there, I never really got into the right position to make it happen. Also, the changes I applied after qualifying made the car a bit nervous on hard braking, so I avoided him one time and lost about two seconds. I was slowly closing the gap again, but again, the first chicane and the accompanying tire barrier got me again and this time, it was a blown tire. Oh well...

That was a fun one! I spun a few times in race one, but got the hang of it in time for race 2 - Anders' setup helped a lot! Nice battles with Potter, Thim and Grant Riddal, thank you guys! Tried to move further up the fiels afterwards, but was not fast enough. At least I got to see Dave and Juha duke it out Looking forward to racing these cars next year!

My apologies to Grant in the Race 2 turn 1 accident, my brake balance caught me off guard there. Thanks for 2023!

First of all, congratulations to all participants in this years events. It's been a fun one and quite a few good fights. Now... I looked at the entry list and was thinking about how to have a drive in a car I hadn't yet driven, which meant a slightly limited list, but on that list was the Camry, which was also not a great car for Winton. I'd say that on a circuit like Phillip Island, Barbagallo and Hidden Valley, which has a higher average speed, it would be quite handy, but here it lacked a bit of grunt and power-down ability. But anyway, was good fun to drive and a nice challange to try to get to go as fast as was required to be competitive. Race1: Lack of practice showed, but I felt relatively happy with the setup. Had I had more time, the gearbox should have been tweaked. Had a so-so start, loosing out to Owen in the Volvo. Had a nice fight with him and eventually I were able to sneak by, good fair fighting. Set about working my way closer to the cars ahead, caught John and managed to pass him after a slight mistake (I seem to remember), then started trying to caught others ahead, but more and more fell off the road due to mistakes. Finally was sitting in 3rd, about 3-4 seconds off Dave in the Nissan with first Grant's Honda and Ray's Audi up me boot, trying to find a way past. Did my best to hold on, a bit on the edge of fairness I must admit, but in the end the better tire wear of the Audi showed, and Ray was able to make his way past after I made a tiny mistake, loosing the momentum I needed to remain ahead. So 4th the reward, having faught very hard to keep up there, I'll take that in the Camry. Race2: The 2nd race was much the same as the first, to an extent. Ended up making a mistake at the start of Lap2, loosing out to Dave in the Nissan, and was then sitting right behind him, hoping to stress him into a mistake. Sadly I cracked myself, after a lock-up I couldn't get to unlock into T1, and Juha made his way past on the exit of T2. I was then sitting behind the duo, driving out of my mind just to keep up but only able to hope that they'd make a mistake which would allow me to get by both. That didn't happen, so 5th place was the reward in R2, feelings remaniscent of the Hundy races a few years ago from the 2nd race especially. Overall good fun, fair fights and hard, fast driving. I love myself some super tourer action

I did better in qualy than I expected and had a decent start in race 1 and finished better than I expected. But like Grant, I'm not getting a good feeling with the FWD cars.
Still had fun though. See you in 2024.

I got new pedals, steering wheel and wheelbase as well as a new rig, so I used this race to test everything and prepare for next year´s 1996 BTCC season. My impresion of the setup: I just upgraded to force feedback, so the feeling was completely different. I did not know that on my wheel, when you recieve damage, the wheel is also slightly turned the way you have the damage, so after the incident I could no longer drive the car as it was very diffucult to do so with the wheel simulating the damage as well. The pedals are simply awful, I couldn´t stop the car properly. Either I was blocking the wheels and going full straight or not having enough preassure und spinning the car around. I´ll try to fix it asap. 6 months without simracing hit hard... I definetly wanted to be back, and I am glad I could go back for the last event of the season. I was a bit affraid that my setup wouldn´t arrive on time, but it actually did, so had the end of the week to build it up, set it up and practice. About the race: The car somehow was going slower than in practice, it felt a lot more understeery but in the race more oversteery, so I spun out. I managed to climb on the grid again. For no particular reason, on the warmup before the second race, the car was performing right, so I expected it to be the same on the race but I got damage at the start and as mentioned, the steering wheel was turned, so that was pretty much it. Anyway, thank you guys for an amazing Sunday here again at ISO and I´m expecting to see you guys arround next year. Merry Christmas and a happy new year!!
