Tyre wear and grip dropoff caught me out: I thought I was being clever changing just the rears but very quickly found out the fronts were giving up so had to pit again and doing so forgot to turn off damage repair... Finally binned it and lost the wing trying to catch David Jaques.
It was a fun night though, wouldn't mind another race or even a championship of some kind with these cars.

Great racing at the beginning Jukka, was really enjoyable. I thought I made a mistake changing all 4 tires, but when I started catching Jukka at around a second a lap I was gearing up for some action in the last few mins. Unlucky you had to pit.
Hopefully we can do it again Saturday and in the future. These cars were a blast to drive 👍

i made a silly error on the curbs lap 1, dented the front and left side. rest of the race was trying to fight back. only took right side tires, which initially worked out great with the quick stop, but i was hanging on to it the final laps of the race. good racing with steve, wish i hadn't half spun and lost ground late, could have had a good fight for a few laps instead of just the final moments.
richard, good win, amazing pace. jukka, you were flying too!
the cars are certainly "interesting" to drive. brakes are very sensitive, and and fine line between what works and doesnt work over the curbs. not really "my kind" of car, but seems like the grippy snappy 911 cup cars.
best, dave

I agree on the brakes. Sorry to Timo whose rear bumper I redesigned on the opening laps.
Once the tyres were worn I had a few silly offs. I have some work ahead for Saturday to get more out of these cars.

I personally found the brakes fine, I was just feathering and giving myself plenty of time to brake. Don't think I had a single lock up. Brake pressure was at 94% and bias was 54/46 switching to 57/43 as the fuel burned.

I had to go down to 75% pressure as I had not time to get use dto the car, but will practice and fiddle around a bit more for saturday with the setup. I suspect I also had too much wing and that was slowing me a lot in the front straight, people were going by as in in another class.

I had 84% pressure and not one lockup - lifted the gas before Tosa and the double-left at the end of the track to avoid having a nasty experience. Anyway, great race and I'm very much looking forward to racing on Saturday!

Sorry to Timo whose rear bumper I redesigned on the opening laps. No worries. To be honest, I did not even notice with all the action in the opening stages. Judging by the laptimes on the server, I was convinced I would be running way behind. It thus was a nice surprise to actually keep up with the mid-field pace without too much pushing. I had a first off in Tosa, while dicing with two other cars. No idea who. Off was mainly due to my own excess of eagerness. I went off alone so was glad to not dragg anyone along. Then started fighting back planning on a late stop. The late stop allowed me to get back up to 6th just before the stop. On the lap prior to my stop, I was setting the pitstop parameters on the HUD, mainly to avoid taking on additional fuel. That distracted me and I put two wheels on the grass in Tamburello. The car started sliding and at the speed I was travelling there, I could not catch it. Hit the barriers hard twice and that was that. That being said, these cars really are a blast to drive. The sound really reminds me of the 997 Targa, so they could be 911-inspired. Not sure whether it was on my side or the server-side, but it was all a bit laggy. It may be my imagination, but I have the impression that the lag mainly persisted when someone went off. At two or three occassions, I was running behind another car and all was well as long as we both were on track. Then, the car in front went of in a corner, and suddenly it started sliding and jumping around and seemed to be at several spots at the same time. Weird. I will not be able to race on Saturday as we have guests over. My car is thus free if someone wants it. Would not mind racing these cars some more though. Timo

Internet is down after the big rains we have had. Logged a ticket with the ISP but I don't expect much help with the weekend coming. Put my car back as available. All the best for the race gents.
