Mea culpa... I hand you the Porsche thing. I never intended to express any preference by posting them in that order. It is a mere numerical chronology. But I can understand that the confusion. So, my appologies for that. Putting the entire newspaper idea solely on Frank, who is no longer around to defend himself, seems a bit of a short cut in my opinion and is not fully in line with my recollection of how that went down. Seems to me you should go the same way Frank did, and disappear for good. In fact, why are you still here exactly? If you have anything to say to Pascal, talk with him directly, outside of our forum. If you had any complaints about car allocations, you should have complained then, and we would explain why we do things, and how the process works. The admins here put a lot of effort, daily even, and yes, spend a big degree of money also, making this all possible. Sometimes the car allocations can be a bit unfair, hence why we try our best to make the field balanced, and give everybody a good race and a good show. We also regularly do races where cars have similar paces, like touring cars, group C ( with many 956s to pick) or one make series. Did you expect us to bend our own rules and give you a fast car just because? You didnt get a car in USAC because the grid was full, and we reward REGULAR people, that don't give up their cars after every race, like you did what, 3 times at least in F1, before giving up for good? You talk F1 71, at some point you had a freaking FERRARI in that series! And explain to us, WHY would we give you any special treatment over other members, that are here, race after race, season after season, sometimes driving crappy cars, or not winning any race, and still come back to have a good time with us? And don't whine and moan like you? If we operated like the people at HSO did, we would lock the best cars on the grid for us admins even BEFORE the threads would open. And again, cracking race, cracking season, everybody enjoyed the broadcast, and you behave exactly like Pascal almost, spoiling our fun here. If we are so so bad, i suggest you do good on your own word for once. If you don't want to just race with us, you should just go.

We are ourselves also putting a lot of money, and even more time, into this site to make it possible for you, and everyone else, have somewhere to race accurate historic content, to the best of our abilities.
While we ourselves also want to race, we take time away from that to put on as good of an organisation as we can, this means that we lose time that we would otherwhise like to spend with our families, friends, racing in the series and so on, but we forgo that for the enjoyment of everyone else, through the organisation and creation of the mods, series and broadcasts.
I, personally, have been wanting to race in several of the series we've put on, both here and previously at HSO, but decided against it to make sure that everyone could enjoy the racing, be it in the race itself or by watching it back.
In terms of the application of the report system, we always look at the incidents from many different views, often a couple of days after the event, so as to not be colored by the race ourselves and veto if any of the admins has been involved in the incident(s) in question. Checking reported incidents, at the best of times, takes 20 minutes per report, then we need to discuss the situation as it was and then try to come together in a decision that is in accordance to the series and ISO rules. All in all, one report takes around an hour to get through, so then multiply that with how many reports each that you expect that we get per round, and you will see that we are also giving a lot of time for this. But that also mean that we take a lot of time and you can be sure that we've really thought about it when we have come to a decision on any report that is handed in.
When we are considering rides for a series, we take several things into consideration, such as regularity (the drivers usually showing up to events and driving when he/she has commited to the full series) and driving etiquette (weather they can and usually do, race clean and fair) among other things.
From where we're sitting, we are hearing what has been said, but we have a hard time agreeing with the picture that has been painted by previous comments.
Any further discussion about this, can be done either in PM's or by creating an appropriately names thead in the General Dicsussions sub-forum.
After all, this thread is for discussing the race and the action that has happened during the evening, not for digging up old bones and tossing them at each and every member of ISO.

Aaannnyway....
My race was great fun. Really needed the break of late from racing to get my head back on track. Was really looking forward to racing and I couldn’t care what car I drove. The Lotus is great fun! Had a great battle with Brian (sorry for the scare down the back straight, I drifted ever so slightly. Next time we meet at 180mph hopefully it won’t shit us both up haha!) after that I made a slight half spin and spent the rest of the race picking up positions with retirements. Finished 7th which for me feels great in the Lotus!
Will be picking a one off for Adelaide for sure if I can get my hands on one!
Thank you to all who organised this and the broadcast. Yet again, great job!

It was great to be able to be part of the grid. These cars are so challenging. I had put some laps during the week setting up the Ligier and when I saw the Leyton available I thought it could be a helper but it didn't work as I expected. I was far off the car's pace and had no time to try things out on Saturday. In the end of the warmup, when Juha said that there would be speed limit in the pitlane my brain went crazy thinking about all the possibilities that I had not planned. I had not done a long stint in the Leyton and I was concerned about the front tire wear as it was overheating more than the Ligier. I ended up putting harder tires than I should and also racing in these cars without knowing the limit was a big loss. I just tried to make a clean race with no mistakes and see the checkered flag, there were some close calls but nothing serious. In the pitlane issue, I think I should had waited for Nilsson. I didn't count he would pull in just when he was in my blind spot, but that was all on me to be honest. It was great to see battles up front. Ray!!! Your race was awesome!!! All you guys pulled some great overtakes and kept the car in control. OPP played in my favor, P6 starting from the back is great. Congratulations Anders, Ray and Jaques! Sorry for Little Al. Thank you guys for the incredible broadcast. Perfect! See you next round.

Well first what a great race last night, I've enjoyed driving the Dallara all season, its a solid car and served me well with scoring the odd point here and there, now switching to the Mclaren has given me a boost to fight further up the grid, but this car in away is harder to drive than my trusty Dallara with more power and torque I had to be way more delicate on the throttle . Set up wise took a while and with the help of DJ settled on one that was comfortable for me.
As for the race, I felt for Dave as he went off at T1 for a split second I thought I was going to , so into the lead and the fight was on with Anders, David, and Little Al in hot pursuit , I was on mediums and for the first 14 laps I pushed as hard as I could but the tiers where now saying nope this is your pace right now push to much and your going off, by half way I was third with my team mate right behind me, I pitted and for the second half of the race was fourth until Little Al had his stop. Now with fresh rubber he was catching me for third, but he had a couple moments and unfortunately retired . I had ten seconds to David but then it was five , I was pushing hard again and this time with low fuel the tyres where playing ball , with a lap to go a was right behind and nearly push him through the last chicane now accelerating as hard as I dare just managing to claim 2nd place. Well done to Anders for the win. The broadcast was brilliant watch as usual. Thanks.
Got to say this mod is one of my favorites, when we tested at this track I was leading in the Williams and understeered off on lap three with two blown fronts, I was skeptical about the tyres and thought they would deter people from racing, But they are one of the best things about it. They are to me my main competitor.

Kinda annoying when you can't see the post, but you can sometimes see the comments or quotes of it...
It's like those youtube comments who got an immense upvote count, but the guy has changed it so that nobody knows what he posted there before...

You can see in the bottom right corner of a post if it was edited, when, and who did it.
I guess if Timo removed it, it's because he prefers people not to read it, original or quoted.
We always encourage people to start any dispute, claim or ask for explanations per PM or email or even TS, because many times there is more of misunderstanding than real bad intent. Communication over internet is not always the easiest way and can easily lead to misinterpretations. Add to that the inevitable cultural differences in how to say things or read what others say/do/don't do, and you get why it is important to clarify privately first.

Started the race well and gained 7 positions on first lap, then it was just a matter of looking after the tires and getting into a rhythm, but on lap 9 I lost it just before the bridge touched the gravel and was a passenger as I headed for the wall, the gravel was more like ice lol,but good fun with limited time I have had to practice lately, well done to first 3 next one will be a challenge to keep it out of the wall.

Everyone here knows me well and knows my limitations. I am the one who always comes and hardly gets a good result but, as a rule, I usually finish the races. Williams is a car far above my qualities and also very fragile and often unpredictable. In the next championship, I will no longer be looking for a highly competitive car because I am not ready to do the driving it deserves. One thing caught my eye: I couldn't get close to the times I had in the Suzuka race in the preseason. Did my performance drop so much? 2 seconds slower! Or has the car become more difficult to drive? Aside from the hardship I had when a Larrouse hit before the ginkana and returned to the middle of the track when I was passing and made me leave the track losing control of the car and crashing slightly with a Brabham, my race was very smooth, even too calm because as I never got along with the car, even using the pre-season race setup, I felt insecure all the time due to the car's unpredictability, without being able to force in the corners due to the overheating of the front tires. By the way, that was my big problem all season, the temperature of the front tires and the fragility of the brakes. I can even go faster, but I don't feel safe forcing a car that I don't understand. Now something has to be said, different from what is announced in the briefing, when the riders are going to put an advantage lap they need to be more careful, because countless times I had to get out of their way completely in order not to be run over. This is not for me to negotiate an overtaking, even if it is putting an advantage back. At the end of the race, I felt gratified to reach 9th place "just" 2 laps from the leader.

In the pre-season, the tires weren't quite the same as they are now so the tires has more to do with it than loss of pace on your end I'd say

@bruno Chacon:
Tyremodel punishes "wrong" lines very hard. I think thats the same for everybody. And yes - it often doesnt seem like you did something wrong and still run out of grip. The tyremodel is hard. Period.
Williams FW 14. Did offline testing today to see how fast I can run it at Suzuka. The Brakes get really hot. A lot more cooling needed - yes. On the other hand its even easier to overdrive the car because it goes like hell - until the tyres say NO MAS.
I can confirm though - it doesnt drive itself. You still have to be on point all the time. Tyre saving lines are everything.
I don't understand why you would not want the FW 14? The general issues just magnify with lesser cars no?

That is certainly the key to this mod, understanding how much the tires need or can take. Its so easy to fall out of the window either way. There are moments I sense I'm at the sweet spot, but carrying it over the lap and not just a few corners, that's where I still struggle.
