Cool!!! The first "wing car" that Bob Riley attempted. It worked more or less as expected except that the rear diffuser seen in your second pic was quite unpredictable. They changed it to a conventional wing for Indy, and McCluskey was more confident and finally qualified the car. In the early 70s and despite the wing frenzy, they still believed in streamlining, and thus the shovel nose seen in several cars.

Certainly some forward thinking there, some skim reading suggests they lacked the time to further test the configuration, as to the 1974 Indy month was shorter than usual due to the energy crisis.
