Well, winning against much slower drivers isn't anyway satisfying, at least not to the kind of driver we expect to enjoy what we do here but I doubt much you will not have wins in the future with that form About the discos, that's a weird one because many things can play a role, both in the game and internet connection. Only thing I can say is that wifis are usually more problematic, and if you are using one I would certainly try connecting directly to the router via ethernet cable.

AMS already has the 4GB patch installed as default.

If you haven't allready, alson check for a Router Firewall and your own antivirus/firewall software so both allow AMS to work and make sure any schedule is off Sunday evenings.

Nope, my sim PC is connected by cable, directly from modem. I guess I'll check FW settings as Jonatan suggested, but I have FW off already. Strange. But I'm sure that it's not my connection issue.

My last USAC race of 2020: 3rd Penultimate LVT race of 2020: 2nd Last LVT race of 2020: 4th So following on that, it would be either 1st or 5th yesterday. And because I'm not fast enough, it was 5th. I qualified 5th, which was were I expected to be. It was hard enough finding a clean lap. At the start, my only goal was not to hit anything or get hit. That went fine, the car was still looking pristine after lap 1. The four leading cars were too fast and I quickly got left behind by the 1-stop brigade, dropping me to the lower half of the top 10. After the round of pit stops, I ran in the top 5, battling with Anders and Alberto for 3rd place. Both of them being quicker than me, it took a lot of effort to regain that 3rd place every time I lost it. On the penultimate lap, I was 4th. Starting the final lap, I turned up the boost and took 3rd. It looked like I'd finish there too, but with only the final straight left to go and 1.5 litres in the tank, I hit the wrong button and turned the boost... down. With my crap exit from the final hairpin, Anders was stuck behind me and Alberto cruised by to walk off with 3rd place. I threw it away myself. But on the other side, without Anders' issues (which he didn't cause himself), I'd have never been in front of him, so I don't feel like I lost 3rd. In normal circumstances, he'd have been way ahead of me. And my car was undamaged in the end, the first time I've ever managed that on this track as I usually find that S bend slightly too narrow to fit whatever car I'm in. Thanks to everyone who joined us, hope to see you all next time!

I was looking forward to the race after a solid Q (at least for my standards)
The First half of the race was difficult for me, I did multiple mistakes and found myself in P16 at Lap 12, a few mistakes later and I finally found a solid rhythm and was ready for the second half The second half went quite well, I was able to overtake the some cars and I found myself later in P8 I lost the drag race to the line against Vadim at the end because I missed 5th gear but I'm still happy with P9 after being P16 at Lap 12

Well, winning against much slower drivers isn't anyway satisfying, at least not to the kind of driver we expect to enjoy what we do here but I doubt much you will not have wins in the future with that form Great event yesterday night...also my my race was better than I expected...I hated the m1 so much on last week test.....but everything go well...only a couple of minor error a crash with Jason White who was returning in track at the hairpin, and a big crash luckily in the last lap with David Jaques coming back from rails the biggest problem was my wife who blew the electricity with the hairdryer and the dishwasher during the warm up...panic Half race visible from half of my cockpit (I forgot to configure OBS and twitch for my new Monitor 1440x3440) www.twitch.tv/videos/868733980last thing Alberto...not for particular ambition of winning race in my case...but I think, watching at laptimes in qualify and race that the rocket in gr.B is not only Peter but also Cezariusz ...they could easily win all the races Thanks again for the event

Oh boy... a big pile up at T1 and a M1 smashed my right front fender because i couldn't see him..
Never got close to any other group C cars.. seriously how the hell do you guys manage that pace with the turbolag and not burn up your tyres?...
Got T-boned by another M1 car whilst lapping him...
Came into the pit, for tyres and fuel, went back out and the car crepped very slowly untill the turbo kicked in and got a drive through for speeding... Go around and manage to drive too fast.. again in the pits.. 3rd time's the charm i guess...
Drove around a bit and finished the race...
And all that while broadcasting it.
Oh boy...

the last time we ran this type of car on this track, i had a good race, but came up short on fuel at the end. so this time i was determined to make sure to be more prepared. practiced a lot to save fuel, finding a rhythm to make the goal while loosing the least amount of time. made a chart so i could check every 5 laps in the race if i was + or - from where i needed to be. this time i was ready..... except, we had to add a lap instead of a formation lap. so whats the issue, its still the same total distance? the way i made my chart, for example, starting lap 20 = 72 litres needed in the tank to be on goal. for a 68 lap race, at the start of lap 20 there are 49 laps left. since we added an official lap for the formation, when the games shows starting lap 20 there are 50 laps left. i didn't catch this 1 lap shift until the end of the race where it was too late to adjust and just had to back way off. maybe if i had of noticed earlier i could have adjusted without loosing much pace, or maybe it would be enough that jundt was going to get me either way. anyway, new lesson learned, and ill be ready if it comes up again, on to the next one.
grats jundt for a very fast and steady pace the entire race. grats to al jr for a nice come back, anders for surviving a rough one, and juha for a clean race ;P
i think on the whole everyone did a pretty good job, multiclass racing will always be an extra challenge. only comment, does everyone have the spotter turned on? couple times it seemed as if cars were surprised by cars along side. its one thing to see a car behind in the mirrors, it gets tough once side by side, especially in the corners. the spotter isn't perfect, but i find it is worth it to have it turned on.

Disco from a dominant class lead with 20 laps to go. For fuck sake... You were killin' it Petr! I was really looking fwd to Broadcast since I wasnt able to race. Avoided all spoilers and downloaded the replay to watch during dinner. Lots of action to watch up and down the field in both classes!!! I was rewinding and switching drivers so much my food got cold. Hate to call out any names because pretty much everybody had a highlight moment or two. Whether a good fight, a nice pass, or a comeback drive after a small costly brain fart. Even some last lap passes within meters of the finish. Damn! Good show everyone. Mostly clean on this crowded and frustrating track! Good Wins Jundt and CC! Back to Petr Wish I could help I have only had 3 discos in 3 years of AMS that I can recall? knock on wood Maybe a couple others in practice, quali or warmup. I think Jundt once mentioned he resets his modem before races, hasnt happened since.

I think Jundt once mentioned he resets his modem before races, hasnt happened since. Thanks Brian. Actually, I called my provider and asked them to check my connection. They found some significant packet loss and stability issues. The technician came on Tuesday and he had to replace the cable leading to my modem/router. So there definitely was a problem on my side. I really hope that it's solved now. The strange thing is that I race other sims on regular basis and it was only AMS that had issues. Maybe the engine is more sensitive, I don't know. Anyway, fingers crossed...

Sounds good Petr, hope it solves the issue. Indeed depending on how the game engine relies to the internet the info you could have those issues if the server decides it does not like the incomplete info it receives.

Maybe his lead in the race was too big? AMS considered it cheating and booted his ass!

ams is based on rfactor, rfactor is pretty old in terms on online multiplayer, and never had the best "lag tolerance". some more modern games seem more able to deal with slight interruptions, while rfactor/ams will kick you pretty quick. if your isp found packet loss and a bad cable, then it sounds like you are on the right track. issues like that can be intermittent, but all it takes is 1 instance where there is no communication for just long enough for the server to time out and cancel the connection. and it always happens at the worst time! hopefully things are good for you now going forward.
