We have no waiting list or priorities if a car becomes available as a one off, the first person to ask gets it (if he's not too fast for it).

Looks like I missed out 🙁 I'd be happy to take anything If anything comes available I'm in if a car becomes available You'll both have to check the forum on a regular basis, if something does become available it will be offered first come first serve. |

Game is CTD'ing as soon as I get in the cockpit with these many cars on track. Memory issue I believe. Installed 4gb patch. Been lowering graphics settings quite a bit, and disabling plugins. Anything else I can do?

The new gen files allow using better the medium level of detail, so switch to that one. It alleviates a lot the texture weight without much loss of car 3D quality. Also set shadows to medium.

Well that was over quick.  Coming out of the hairpin there was a Williams sat in the middle of the track facing the wrong way, I had no chance to avoid it as it was not visible due to other cars and I hit it head on. Race over. |

Race over. Similar for me with that incident except I was able to pit for repairs. There were several stopped cars. Not what you're expecting on the exit of that corner. Then I was punted off the track when giving room to a lapping car.  Pitted again for repairs, 231s, blew engine next lap. The car setup felt very nice though and had consistent speed. |

After some technical issues in qualifying, it was kinda sweet to just get going, even though I had zero expectations in the Osella. However, I made a nice start, missed the chaos on the first lap, and was somewhere around 11-12th after lap 1! And that was after starting dead last in 27th! As such I was not very impressed by a dive-bombing Brabham on lap 2. That pushed me back to about 18th, but passed some cars, had a good race going, until the engine went plop on lap 14. Not bang, just plop. Just as I lowered the boost the let the leader by, my Alfa died. I had kept my fuel numbers, hadn't over-revved, but it still went plop. I had been cautiosly optimistic up to that point.
Bummer.

First lap pile up at the back straight damaged my left rear suspension, was more than driveable...
Some battles... overtaking 3 guys at the backstraight due to the power of the BMW engine.. but then i couldn't overtake my teammate, i was faster... untill i got in his wake and i could not grip the corners...
He crashed out at T1 (he incidentally is the first victim of the commentator's curse) and a lap or two later i damaged my right rear suspension when i missed my brakemarker when overtaking a backmarker...
Pitted and tried to continue but the back end was much too lose... and lost it at parabolica... rear wing gone and suspension collapsed.. tried limping back.. but spun out and crashed out.. it was undriveable by then.

It was fun, but the engine gave up. I was shifting at 10k rpm the whole race, not pushing at all, long gears, very late downshift to avoid over rev but even doing that it didn't work.
I was just controlling the pace when I got 6th place and hopping to finish.

Sorry for the contact at T2 Richard Coxon, I knew I had to be carefull but I had nowhere to go and could not react in time, sorry for that I guess my karma came after my pitstop, I lost power after the stop and my engine died after the backstraight

Sadly have to say: Didn't enjoy a single lap of the race, I was actually kind of relieved when I finally crashed to go have dinner  Depressing 6-8s off the pace trying to make the fuel numbers, getting passed left and right by AGS and Osellas. Never had the feel for the car, FFB didn't give me a good response ;( Absolute nightmare of a race. |
