People,
Mainly, sorry by the contact when leaders passing (i guest was a Ligier), but I choose my line and kept there. Anyway sorry, I tought that leaders pass outside, so i'm feeling bad about it.
But I'm happy to see the checkered flag, and with my Minardi teammate. I guess that Mr. Guido is prod.

A great race, despite being out of the score. On the first lap, a red car crossed the track (I think it was a Ferrari), braked and when I feel safe, a car comes behind and crashes into my rear, tearing off the wing and slightly bending the right rear suspension. There was a long, slow path left for the pit to make repairs. It was an eternity dragging me on the track, scared to death that the Alberto would send me out of the race, but I managed and came back very cautious to measure how much damage the car had, that in the last position, since it was 152 seconds of repairs. Gradually I started to gain confidence and started to fly on the track, even though I felt that the car had damage to the suspension and that I could leave it at any time. I passed one car after another, always at a steady pace and, often, taking turns of the cars in front of me, because when I returned to the track after repairs, I was 1 lap behind the car in front of me. I was getting excited and accelerating more and more and steadily. Were it not for this accident, I would certainly be able to reach 5 or 4 places. I want to thank Juha Boss for the excellent arrangement of the car that we worked on collaboratively during the week. Congratulations to Anders for the beautiful victory. Now I'm going to watch the broadcast of the race, which must have been electrifying and wonderful.

That could have been better. Qualifying third was fine, but I made a mess in the race by misjudging the closing rate to Wilks and Grant Riddall who were fighting for the lead, wiping Wilks off track. It was my fault, I didn't think they'd slow down that much. Down to 5th or 6th, I had to find a way back to the front, which I eventually did.
My pit stop was rather slow, so Anders Nilsson and Grant passed me. I passed both, but Grant came back, only to stumble when lapping a Minardi. I couldn't avoid him and took off my front wing. Down to third again. Although after my wingless McLaren decided to take off on the back straight, I should consider myself lucky for not crashing.
I have to thank Richard Coxon for the setup help, and my teammate Bruno for the cooperation. The car wouldn't have been that nice to handle without his input.

I'm sure you can achieve that this year!

P8. Good. I finished.
People blocked the racing line on two of my attempts in Qualy. Annoying.

And you can stop putting your money on me Alberto, because each time you do, I lead at some point, but I never win.

Yeeeees i did something Lill-Lövis never manage to do in a Ferrari (Sry Stefan but you are still one of my heroes ) Q Went better than i thought got a lap in before the track became to hot . Race. Was to careful at the start so my car bogged down abit. Went from second to 5th in 150 meters, sadly my team8 got elbowed off the track at T2 . Came out off the hairpin onto back strait Mr Miller lost it right in front off me, went by with the smallest of margins . By that time Grant ,Juha and Wilks had ran away from me the gap was around 6 sec i think. Worked my way into the race by steady laps times and making fuel closing the gap, Juha and Wilks had a tanga for two in T2 up to second with Hille breathing down my neck. Grant was now 8-10 sec ahead Juha closed the gap to me fast and passed me. I asked alittle bit more from my Ferrari and she replied stayed with Juha and we were closing the gap to Grant. Pitstop came and went got Juha in the pitstop but he just caught up again and passed . We realed in Grant and i had a front raw seat to the battle ahead . Coxon was in my ears urging me to relax keep a cool head, thx m8 felt good to have u at my ringside. And i stayed cool saved fuel and keeping up so i was in a good spot for capitalize on any mistake made by thoose two . And they were really hot at it, the mistake came i capitalize and for the first time in race i could ease off abit saving both me and the car . Had a decent gap back to Jaques who had made a brilliant comeback from a rather poor Q for his standard well done m8 . And also grats and well done to all that finnished. Great stream thanks to the guys in the boot . To Wilks wo had putted such a great mod together

First I would like to thank the admin for there hard work in giving us the 86 mod, and other mods for this year. Your time and effort is appreciated.
Qualified just outside the top ten. Made up three places off the start, but they were to be the only passes for position I made all race and due to others misfortunes I was in a lonely 6th place for most of the race, also wasn't paying attention to the fuel at the end, had to slow and let the leader by to finish.
Bad luck to Grant and Juha , and Well done to Anders for the win. Thanks for the broadcast.

The arrows mechanics had their heads at mojitos and the beach, both cars were tuned for a wheelchair race instead of driving the top 10. it already started with qualifying, waiting in the sun until 30min, on the track and again in the sun, well I tell you, what did I sweat! Spun twice and with 3 minutes to go my heart was beating so hard in my throat, I thought, you are not serious, you are not going to qualify this piece of iron! at the last moment i did, The race itself was not much better, only light was the speed but started cautiously, the first lap was bizarre, almost escaped a crash and hopla p15. Ffb was not optimal so I didn't feel much, the rear was adjusted much too stiff and soon spun behind an osella, just gone, ok p20, try again, but the Ffb feeling completely gone and had no confidence in the car at all until lap 14 I was riding full throttle over a bump just before the hairpin and whoosh, the rear was gone and fine with the butt against the guardrail. race over.
brilliant broadcast and super nice race to watch, great fun guys!

I believed that my engine would blow any time, but I got control the Oil Temp... Although the awful speed. By looking that in 1986 the Minardi finished just one (with one car) Grand Prix, took both cars to Checkered Flag was a really win!
I was at 10th position remaining 2 laps to go, but I took the kerb at Cheirinho Corner (before backstretch) a I flew and felt to 12th position... But I passed my teamate before the finish.

I had to let you go Bruno, I didn't have fuel. I miscalculated the consumption and I had to save the last 5 laps. I had to push the car at the finish. Terrible mistake. Thank you all for the race and Mr. Minardi for the chance.

so i'm feeling bad about it. But I'm happy to see the checkered flag, and with my Minardi teammate. I guess that Mr. Guido is prod. Don’t feel bad or be put off by it. This was not your fault but rather a complete misjudgment by me. I take full blame. At first I was completely gutted and questioned what actually happened but after taking some time I can only take full blame, not assume when lapping and learn and improve from it. Great job by you both for bringing the Minardi home in such good positions my race was stronger than I thought. I had a mega start and jumped to 2nd and turned the boost up to gain 1st just for the reason of then trying to control the pace perhaps for my own gain. Was looking forward to a great battle with Wilks but was gutted to see what happened :/ Great battles with Juha and Anders. Congratulations to Anders for keeping his cool! Payed off and I’m glad Juha for a podium at least. I aimed to finish in the points here so a 4th and 6th for us is a result nonetheless thank you all for organising this. And to the broadcasters

No matter the car, the F1 1986 racing is challenging in many ways. This time I did more serious fuel calculations with only one error- I've somehow got the wrong number of race laps and calculated my litres per lap as 2,87 Just at the very start my teammate Mike opened my eyes, that his calc says 3+ ltrs/lap so I knew that there some space with boost settings. Slightly higher boost settings and with low on fuel the 5th gear was obviously too short. Overreving the engine + even more boost to catch Gabrielle in the BMW Benetton took the powerplant beyond it's designed lifespan. Congratulations for the race finishers and as always thanks for the great broadcast.
