I thought I'd be ready in time, but my rig is still a work in progess that is not completely done. I'll also have to set up pedals and DD + wheel, so better not mess up someone else's race tonight. I'll thus sadly have to declare absence now

Good fun race while it lasted. Car felt very stable with little understeer or oversteer. Just lacking a bit speed. Unfortunately I made a mistake on shifting up and blew the engine.

huge apologizes Adam, I'm absolutely ashamed of my behavior on track. The race started perfectly, I achieved my first pole, but the rest is the most pathetic driving I've ever done. I didn't want to get a drive-through penalty for being too fast at the start, and then appeared a message saying I was too slow. Gorgeous. The I jumped to 8th until that full course yellow when I lowered to 10th. I made it back to 8th and had a fun chase with Jason until behind his slipstream the car rear got too loose and spun in the straight. Then I wanted to continue but after crashing Adam's race I decided to retire to avoid any other accident. I simply can't think of any more pathetic performance in a race

Enjoyed that while it lasted. Got a stop and go penalty during the first caution period after someone decided to overtake me just as we got going again. Was all by myself towards the end then forgot to shift to 4th get when I was behind someone and engine blew up. Enjoyed it and looking forward to the next round at Ontario

Today I was a masochist, what a torture! A race to forget and now deal with the stiff neck that has gotten much worse! I couldn't get a rhythm for the entire race. I suffered 2 accidents that lasted 130 and 135 seconds for repairs, as I lost both rear wings. Accidents caused by myself for not being able to hold the car in spikes of pain. I never do that again, it's not worth it. Congratulations Cezarius, David and Jacob. I hope I didn't disturb anyone.

I qualified midfield 13th about where I thought that I would be. The race started well and then I ended up behind Alberto, I couldn't find a way past him and was waiting for a mistake. When a slower car held us up a bit I was able to try and get past on the inside only for Martin Lacina to try and pass me also on the inside, 3 cars into the exit of turn 4 didn't go and I made contact with Alberto. Sorry Alberto . My car was damaged quite badly but I struggled on for about 10 laps to make it to the pitstop window. After that it was just running around hoping to pick up any positions. It felt like a good first race for the series (apart from the contact). Thanks for the broadcast I'll watch it now. Congrats to Cezariusz, David & Jacob.

Show this race too much! Car was in hand, walking all the time without forcing the engine in order to complete. Unfortunately my internet disconnected .... anyway I am very happy to have participated and thank you for the opportunity!

Qualified mid-pack, slower than I'd practiced, opted to just run a straightforward strategy of drive it to Lap 75 or till it ran out of gas, whichever took longer. Then, if the fuel wasn't an issue, crank up the boost for the end. Made it all of 3/4ths of a lap before I was taken out by someone else's issue. Really frustrating to watch someone bounce off the wall and 4 or 5 other cars and be able to continue while you're watching from the sidelines minus a whole front wheel.
Onward to California I suppose.

3 cars into the exit of turn 4 didn't go and I made contact with Alberto. Sorry Alberto Next time we'll do better This track is complicated, with little room and passing opportunities in these cars that are already quite fast. My race started bad when I was paying attention to something else and finished my qualy a lap too early, effectively dropping mid grid. Start was OK and I managed to place myself where I wanted, in no man's land between the head of the race who I could not follow, and the mid of the field, me being quicker than them. Was rubbing my hands for a peaceful race there crusing for points but as Dave explained, was hampered by traffic and caught by my pursuers. In one overataking attempt he slid upwards, pushed me and I hit the wall sideways. After driving carefully to asess the damage, I realized my car could still be safe although nearly one second off from my normal pace, so I decided to soldier on to pick whatever points I could. In the end a top 10 that was uncomfortably close to Petr, who had closed in during the last yellow. That was hairy! Grats to Cz, great performance in the Coyote, and to podium and all finishers. Looking forward to Ontario where the Cosworth will be able to stretch its legs properly, in this track the 4 bangers had the advantage of the mid range punch coming out of corners, but at superspeedways it will be our turn. On a positive note, the cars behaved quite well and very believable, I think this has been one of the broadcasts I have enjoyed more simply from the point of view of how the cars moved and the lines they took. It really looked like TV footage, so we are indeed getting close to simulating how they worked in real life. Kudos to Wilks again, and thanks Jonatan and him for the entertaining broadcast EDIT: And BTW in the real race the podium was Johncock, Krisiloff, Foyt. In our race it was Foyt, Johncock, Krisiloff!!! And Ongais started from pole but abandoned, which little Al also did! How's that for realism?

EDIT: And BTW in the real race the podium was Johncock, Krisiloff, Foyt. In our race it was Foyt, Johncock, Krisiloff!!! And Ongais started from pole but abandoned, which little Al also did! How's that for realism? Much obliged! Had a great run yesterday, and without some hiccups with traffic I think I could've hold on to 2nd or even challenged Czesar for the lead. But kudos to him, he passed me fair and square in a critical moment of the race and then hung on brilliantly. Vert well deserved. My race could not have started better after mediocre qualifying. I for sure dropped a couple of tenths on my fast lap, but read the traffic as well as I could have on lap 1: from 8th to 3rd in the first half-lap, up to 2nd on lap 2, took the lead on the restart. Fought hard to keep Thiago behind, keeping him on the leash was critical in the first half of the race. Two or four tires seem to hit-or-miss, in the end there wasn't much difference, but it was the boost levels that really made some difference in pace near the end. Had no idea Jaques was catching me like he did, and I never ran more than 2,83 in boost as I didn't want to stress the engine. Now I know that I can push it some more. That also meant I had a heavier car in the final 10 laps. The things you learn while racing... All in all, a great evening of racing, and I am full of motivation to keep the momentum going!

Bob Riley-designed cars sweeping the top three I love the symmetry, and as Alberto says, I love the realism!

Hey guys, just to say. I had so much fun yesterday. The car was great, the fuel was spot on, the race was so intense and it never got boring from lap 1 to lap 146. Had a good fight with Jacob, I was been conservative and safe but I noticed my gear ration was a hair to short in traffic. I was lifting most of the time I was behind other cars to avoid over revving the engine. But the engine temperature was just fine... :/ Not hot at all. In the end seeing the top 2 just in front of me I believe I had pushed maybe just a bit more than I should and the engine let me down with 4 laps to go. Devastating, I was gutted... Thanks for putting this mod together!! Racing in circles is so much fun!! I can't wait for the next round!! Ontario will be tough for the Offen.

Having no experience in this mod I wasn't sure what to expect from the car/race, but Saturday night when I finally had a few minutes to sit down and test, I kept blowing engines repeatedly. Yesterday morning, I was dead set on tuning the car in a way that I would assure I made it to the finish. Scratched all plans, went for safe and stable.
I didn't quali well. I had no invested any time in the car for that. I was ok with starting further back in the pack and was just hoping to stay clean and out of trouble until things settled a bit. That didn't go well, and following my luck as of late I managed to tangle with the one car that bounced off the wall on the first lap (maybe 2nd..?) Saw the car moving up track, then into the wall. I backed out, thought I'd make it on the low side but the car dove about that time and collected me. Got that fixed, went laps down. Lost concentration alone later on (watching my mirrors) and spun out of the final corner. Knocked the rear wing off. Another 100 or so seconds and I considered calling it quits...but, decided to see what attrition spots I could pick up, plus, might as well take the opportunity to refresh my abilities when running as a backmarker.
Rest of the race was simply a class in blue flags. They were incessant. Hope I was able to stay out of the way, I don't recall causing any issues but if I did I apologize. Did what I could to stay on the high side and let everyone take the racing line. Was actually sort of fun having packs of fighting cars flying by me. Found myself P16 in the end, and considering all the troubles, f' it, I'll take it.
Mod was great, cars are good fun to drive/feel legit. I did notice a few cars with an odd graphics bug (like something hanging off the back of their car).... (but only when I'm in cockpit view. If I watch others on track or in replay I do not see it unless I'm sitting in cockpit view)
Will definitely be back in here looking for one offs. Hopefully even chase a point or two before it's all said and done. Grats to the podium. And big thanks to admins, as always, for this beautiful work they do to make these things happen!

For the next race, I'll ask if I can get my points after qualifying because I just seem to end up where I started.
74 USAC, Phoenix: I qualify 3rd, I finish 3rd 95 STW, Salzburgring: I qualify 6th, I finish 2nd + 4th
84 DRM, Norisring: I qualify 5th, I finish 5th
86 F1, Rio: I qualify 3rd, I finish 3rd 78 USAC, Phoenix: I qualify 6th, I finish 6th
I also appear to be collecting all Top 6 places, except the most interesting one.
So what happened between my run from 6th to 6th? I gained places on the start, but I backed off too much when the yellow was thrown and went back to 6th. At the restart, I didn't have the pace of the leaders so I ran in the lower half of the Top 10. Most of the race was rather lonely, until I had Jason White to aim for, and Alberto Ibañez to keep behind me. Alberto dropped back and I finally got the better of Jason when the car started working. It started to work that well I managed to avoid getting lapped. I wish I had that pace at the start. It looked like I was heading for 7th, but Thiago's late retirement ensured I finally reclaimed my 6th place. Again. My only problem was losing the rear at the end of T2 and unvoluntarily sliding into the path of Brian Janik. Sorry Brian!
I'm looking forward to racing these cars on a bigger track. They were great yesterday, and I reckon they'll be fantastic around Ontario.
But first there's the LVT race at Silverstone. Before starting my run of top 6 places, I finished 8th at Adelaide, so I guess I'll finish 7th in the Jaguars to complete the set of non-winning Top 8 places.
