Hey everyone!
So this is actually my second post here, as I thought Drivers' presentation was the thread for that inside the 1986 forum hehehe sorry for that!
I'm looking forward to racing with you in the F1 1986 season, maybe getting a car for Hungaroring, but let's see how it goes. I already know some drivers here: Alan Santo, Bruno Pagiola, Luciano Rocha, and Mike Olson, and they all speak great things about this racing temple.
My name is Fernando, 16 years in the online racing world, originally from Brazil, but then Spain, back to Brazil, and now Portugal. Which means this is a hello from Portugal! But I'm 50% Brazilian and 50% Spaniard, though I consider myself 25% Brazilian, 25% Spaniard, 25% Portuguese, and 25% British. Why? Because I'm a Beatles fan and I love the UK, what can I say?
Though I have part of my hart in Park City, Utah... this is getting too confusing. Nationalities aside, I'd identify myself as Portuguese nowadays. It's easier to link to my current location, and becomes a Minerva vote between Spain and Brazil, so Portugal. Fluctuating among the several places aforementioned.
I'll keep my eyes at the forum and practice during the week. I've been racing online for 16 years now, started with Nascar 2003. Then rFactor, netKar Pro (the base for Assetto Corsa), Race07 and its DLCs (my cousin raced the WTCC for three years, before his accident in Macau, so I loved seeing a name similar to mine originally in the game). Automobilista, Assetto Corsa, Project CARS 1 and 2, rFactor 2, and now also RaceRoom and AMS 2 are in my curriculum of lots-of-games-played-online-but-some-only-once-or-twice.
Of course there are some other racing games in my past. Enduro and Super Monaco GP don't count. Grand Prix Unlimited from Accolade was the first for PC. But my love began with Microprose. F1GP, GP2, GP3, and GP4 in 2002... and of course IndyCar Racing 1 and 2, Nascar Racing, NFS Shift 1 and 2 (let's not talk about the other NFSs hehehe)... I think I'm not forgetting anyone. I could write a short book about it, and I'm pretty sure a lot of you guys could, too.
Thanks for this space and opportunity, and hopefully I'll meet you on the track in Hungary!
