I'm Cory and looking forward to doing some league racing in AMS again. I'm pretty slow and definitely won't be quick with these historic cars but looking forward to it. I've been sim racing for about 6 years now, mostly in Assetto Corsa but have run some AMS races before.
I've recently become interested in modding even though I have no knowledge of how to do it. I think it's pretty cool you guys create your own mods here or update existing ones. I recently bought BTB and am having fun messing around with that but have no experience beyond running mods through rfactortools.
Hope you see you guys on track soon and hopefully not being passed by everyone.

Welcome Cory, cool to have another one interested in modding around. My tracks always start life in BTB, it's a great tool even if I do the finishing touches with other programs, but the potential is amazing

Welcome Cory, cool to have another one interested in modding around. My tracks always start life in BTB, it's a great tool even if I do the finishing touches with other programs, but the potential is amazing What programs do you use to finish your tracks? 3DSimED? I just got BTB like 2 weeks ago so I'm still getting use to it. I also just planned on creating tracks for myself to use against ai so I don't really care how good they look. In the future I might look at making nicer more professional looking tracks. I'm also kind of doing it to learn more about how the mods works in AMS so when I download mods that have errors I can hopefully fix them.
Thanks to you and Richard and Juha for the welcome.

I use Zmodeler and 3D simeditor yes, the latter only for conversion and shaders. It doesn't matter what gets you started, the important thing is to have motivation to learn the tool. Once you go past the initial steep learning curve, you start getting more and more ideas and before you know it, you are doing really cool stuff you had not even dreamed before
