Way to careful first lap lost alot off positions, was down to 12th i think at the end of lap one. From there on the chase was on. Had a hard time passing Kayo. Hes speed down the straight was just to much for my NA Bemmer but he got to sideways and i slipped by. A great tussle with Juha for many laps and still we were catching em boys ahead off us great fun. Real bummer there with ur engine Juha . At the end i was only 1.5 sec away from the top two i´d say a very good day at the office. Grats to Martin and Wilmer and all that finneshed. Great broadcast guys . Next is the Green Hell !!

It was a great race to me, the car performed as expected. The pole position was extremely important for the race result. Having the inside line at T1 with no threats gave me the chance to focus on my pace. I was saving engine more than during my practice after opening the big gap to Jaques. It was just a matter of keeping my lines and hitting my breaking points lap after lap. Something very unexpected happened when I crossed the start/finish line. My engine blew up!! It seems the MOD has a lot fidelity the 70s/80s reliability. Issues can come from nowhere, it just happens! After 2 good races in a row probably a bad one is waiting for me around the corner. It is just a matter of time to get a DNF. Congratulations to the survivors Nice job Jaques a Jundt See you in Hell!!!! Thank you Jason/Alberto/Juha for the broadcast!!! Very entertaining!

It was a great race from you indeed, congrats But isn't it a bit boring to be there at the front all by yourself? I would think some of the good old style door banging would be in order, especially with these cars. At least to me that is a big part of the fun

There were a couple of drivers with similar pace but they were involved in battles and I wasn't. I think that was the main reason of such a big gap during the whole race. When Jaques got the 2nd place and had clean air the gap didn't increase as much. But anyway, you won't see much door banging coming from me. If by any circumstance I had to be involved in a battle it would had been a lot of fun and I would had blown my engine too. Nine races to go, there will be a lot of opportunities for battles ahead. Thanks Alberto!!

How to bang doors with rocker panels that wide? Watched the broadcast earlier today, got an unusual large amount of air time yesterday! Reminded me how much of a blast I had during the race.

My engine went boom again. Though, probably mostly my fault. I got decent quali run in and started P5 but I was P9 by end of lap 1. Got swamped on the start and was hanging on for dear life. Some door banging, mostly harmless, but fun while it lasted. Probably should have tried to preserve the engine a bit more but after race started and others were somewhat walking away from me in a straight line I felt like increasing boost at the big straight was something I 'needed to do' in order to keep up/compete. Big mistake I guess, though I was trying to be easy on it most other times. Wheel's been giving me some issues with random buttons being pressed (ghost button presses) and Sunday it was one that sent me into neutral at entrance of a corner and when that happened I had a big over rev that probably took most of the life of the engine out of it. Oh well...hopefully will survive the green hell. Maybe I can [attempt to] preserve the engine a bit more there as it'll be a race of attrition/survival...but I wouldn't count on anything. Might very well run the shit out of it...hard to say yet. Another great broadcast guys! Enjoyed watching Div 2 and then the rest of the Div 1 race as well, while I sulked about my dead car. Onward Green Hell!

I was a lucky boy here. P3 was basically stolen as my gears were, well, wrong for the occasion

Couldn't break any pots this time as I got a kiss from behind on lap 2 which made me start last. instead of staying with the group and building up slowly, I had to go full throttle for the entire race! unfortunately the bmw exploded on the last lap. enjoyed it immensely and despite the unfortunate fellow racers, the damage remained somewhat limited. so much fun this mod since years really , this mod really has the vibe of the early rfactor years in just pure enjoyment! I'm really looking forward to the next 3 races and what a blast to ride together with the big guns on the green hell and Hockenheim, that's going to be fun!

At least I got somewhere near the finish this time. And I'm happy with my driving. The atmospheric cars got a steep uphill to climb in this season. I didn't think I was pushing the engine too hard, but I had a lot of fun studying other drivers battles, and got involved somewhat myself during the race. No mistakes made, a secure 4th place was in my hands, but lost due to the engine failure. Better form than at Zolder, but a DNF still sucks.
til next time
