I can join you in your woes Juha. I had everything perfect. The pace to possibly win, the perfect car setup, a good drink beside me on my desktop, a behaving inline 4 Toyota engine, what I didn't have perfect was the random stutters and lag that cost me the race trying to keep up with Richard. Missed out on my first ISO podium, and it wasn't even anything I had any control over. I run capped FPS and Automobilista in admin, my wheel refresh rate should be enough for the game to run smoothly. Luck was just not on my side today.

My car was going really well at the start of the race (I know the 1st section of the track really well) but the last part of the lap is not very good for me. Half way through the race I lost a bit of concentration and went over the barrier, no way to get back on track and the engine overheated.

Well, did a few laps of practise, had to skip qualy because of baby issues (congrats Petr Hlavac!) so started on the back row. Pace was okay in the Valvoline BMW which isn't exactly a rocket ship and had a sort of duel with a div1 Porsche.
A disconnect brought an end to my race on lap 6, which was a bit of a shame. My internet connection is pretty stable, no-one around the house reported any issues, so that was weird.

That's one I'm not entirely sure what to make of it. My plan was on going relaxed and finish, trying to keep the car in good shape. After all, I helped my mom moving house and had gone 2 x 420 km in 3 days, and hauled a lot of stuff a human being amasses in almost 7 decades. Got off my mom's place in time, but unfortunately, my trip back took over an hour longer than usually, so I just arrived when the Q had already started, and being the nice guy I am, I refrained from joining the server while everyone is busy doing their hotlaps, although I was tempted whatching the laptimes... ...my apologies again for that late notice of me being not in the right group, but I was more busy getting a lap down in warmup to get a feeling for the car than looking at the messages. Start was finally okay, as planned, I took it slow and waited for the mistakes of others, and they came. Alberto was no factor and at some point, I could get past Mike, When Tim dropped out and Matthew and Richard had their business, I had a look at the podium, just waiting, expecting not everyone to finish. Only worry were the tires, since the 1.5 update I have huge problems judging, what the front is going to do. First lap going after Mike, I had one of those inexplainable occurances where the car will just run of straight of the line up to Kesselchen. Later I had a spin in the Adenauer Forst, but that was probably more me being a bit slow in the brain, but suddenly I had to cope with the DII leaders. Not what I had on my plans. Then another 'oh, why turn in when you can just go straight?'-moment in Klostertal, that I don't understand, and in fourth lap, another one in that righthander before Schwalbenschwanz, which caused some damage on the left of the car.
I slightly adjusted the tire pressure at the front during my pitstop, and tried to bring it home from there, maybe fetching another position, but I was often more wrestling the car than anything else. One corner the balance is just beautiful, the next you handle an oversteer, and the next direction change has you haplessly slide off track. The fun was further spoiled by Brians disco, when he was right behind me. Finally, I could pass John for fifth, and then the race was over. Hm, okay, there was some potential in it, but then, I couldn't go without a pit stop (at least no one could match my 8:24.7), but apart from that I also lost way to much out on the track, being unable to remain in a consistent rhythm, both by having to start from the end of the grid (okay, gonna have to live with that), but also by the lack of predictability of the car's handling.

Seems like there were a lot of disconnects this race?

Seems like there were a lot of disconnects this race? There were a few, could've possibly contributed to my race ending lag on my end as well.

From the messages, Rob and Brian seemed to have disappeared in the same moment.

I had arrived from a 700km trip during the night when I took my daughter to the capital's airport and my head was dizzy from the trip and the few hours of sleep. It was 700km in a space of 12 hours, of which I drove for 8 hours. with an airport break of 4 hours. My intention was to be able to finish the race but to complicate matters my HUD info was completely crazy, fuel light flashing and the gauge saying I had 23 laps of fuel, it was total madness! Glad I managed to finish the race.

Congrats to the Winners and to all finishers. Thanks Jason for a great broadcast. The cars look great and so life-like. The sounds too, was like hearing a real race. Great job everyone involved in this mod.

Woohoo! Finally the result on the board that I've known for a while I had the potential for. Couldn't have gotten more out of the car if I've tried, but it was just enough. Did not make any attempt at all in qualifying, ran the entire session on race fuel and on a single set of tyres. That made me more comfortable in the race that I knew what was coming in the later laps. Was a bit lucky that Anders made that mistake, but even without that I think I could have catched him. Even when my pace dropped after I took the lead I was not that worried because of my superior top speed.
Really, really happy to finally get a race together. Been showing flashes of speed throughout the year, but actually delivering at the Nordschleife is really a testament that I haven't lost anything. Too many more of these!

Forsure I was catching Wilks before mid-lap & maybe CC, but I pulled off and ESC'd because of a medical emergency with my Pops.

Didn't practise (already know the track and car).. just added more fuel so i can finish the race...
Hectic start! cars all around.. and dropped back because of jockeying...
Okay... overtook some slow ones... lets go!
Catching up to a new group of drivers that are overtaking a Div. 1 car...
Bruno Chacon... man you were slow in the twisties.. but once there's a straight.. you blasted away from me!...
Finally managed to pass you by with a daring move... but it had cost much of my tyre life...
Finally able to catch up to a car in front of me.. and it was on!!
But sadly David Sabre made a mistake before Youtube Corner and crashed himself out... and then.. it was just finishing the race... the rest of the cars were waaaaay ahead of me, impossible to to get closer and the tyres now almost gone.. it was just a struggle to keep the car on the road... and because of this.. Bruno is creeping back up to me... NOPE!!! All that while keeping an eye on the revs, tyre temps, tyre degradation and turbo (which was turned all the way up and i only lifted a bit when the engine temps got close to 105)
Finally the finish was in sight but i was holding back to keep the engine temps low and Chacon almost got me.. but i stil had like 2 seconds over him when i finshed the race.

Congratulations Kayo, you passed me masterfully and knew how to keep me far enough away that I couldn't overtake on the straights. Like you, the tires ran out on lap 6 and with the fatigue from the trip the night before, I wasn't taking any chances in the corners. You deserved the position with merit.
