RACE DAY SCHEDULE - All times are PARIS time

Sunday November 6th

18:45 - Qualifying (1 hour, unlimited laps)
19:45 - Warmup
20:00 - Race (53 Laps)

QUALIFYING

Qualifying will consist of a 1 hour session with unlimited laps. Towback will be set to 'ON' for qualifying.

We urge people to remain on the server as to avoid lag for other drivers.

WARM-UP

The driver's briefing will be held at the start of the warm-up session. No cars are allowed to leave their garage during the briefing.

RACE START PROCEDURE

The race will feature a standing start. There will be NO formation lap.

TYRES

Each driver is limited to 3 sets of tyres for the entire event (qualifying, warm-up and race).

A training server will be running 24/7 (same password).

BEHAVIOUR ON TRACK

As for all ISO races, it is required you use your real name both in-game and on the forum. Thank you.
Chatting during the race is strictly forbidden, talking during a qualifying session is only permitted for technical difficulties, but please whisper to the admin in charge to limit the disturbance towards other drivers. The code to add before your message when using whisper chat in the AMS is the following:

Example:

Respect the red light at the end of the pitlane.
Drive Through: If a driver has to do a drive through, even if there is no pit lane speed limit, he has to drive through the pitlane at 100 km/h max (60 mph). Not respecting this rule will result in a 30 second penalty at the end of the race.
If you have a spin on the track or leave the track, it is YOUR responsibility to make sure the track is sufficiently clear before you rejoin the race.
Driving back to the pits on anything less than 4 wheels is not allowed in any session. Drivers must stop in a safe place and ESC out of the race. Failure to do so may result in a post race penalty.

The admins/moderators are qualified to solve any problems raised by the application and the interpretation of the present regulations.

I did a couple of laps to test the car, the track Is really amazing, i only noticed that in some point of the circuit cameras are not focused on the car but on the sand instead and some others too close to the car.

Thanks Alberto for such a pleasant words. Just want to add one thanks to Juha who helped me to prepare such a nice new pits with the scoreboard above because the texture with a lot of arabic inscriptions and other stuff comes from his hand.

I wanted to do an online race at this track ever since I drove it in the (truly horrible) Spirit of Speed 1937 game. Can't wait! There are two more historic circuits on my bucket list - the full version of Monlhéry and the mighty Pescara. One day, maybe... 😉

I know Pescara is now under construction. One guy in AMSU presented some pictures.

Oh, true. Actually, I thought we'll race at Tripoli and didn't notice that Ain Diab is a totally different track. My bad.

I even drove a very early alpha version of Pescara for GPL some 15 years ago. It was just a piece of road floating in the air, there wasn't even the most basic landscape. Still, it was fun. Both - the twisty uphill secion and the super fast straight back to the sea (where Guy Moll lost his life). Hopefully, somebody will release a proper version of this track one day.

Gosh, that is probably the hardest track I've ever driven, including the piccolo circuito delle Madonie. Nearly impossible to judge the corners or get into a decent rhythm, half of my laps simply don't count for track cutting warnings, and every other lap, I'm completely off track here or there. Not really looking forward to this...

I find it difficult, but with a nice flow. What doesn't help, though, is the pace car sitting right in the middle of the start/finish straight
