Sorry guys, I can't race. I was practicing this morning and I'm getting pedal spiking, I'm not going to be back from work early enough to fix it first. Don't want to rear end/ brake test people

Hey guys, I can’t select my car again when joining server
I don’t mind having any other car that’s free if it’s too much hassle adding mine?
(#15 brm is the only free car I can see to select, if easier I don’t mind driving it?)

My apologies to Michael and Tim for the accidents... wasn't able to avoid a (don't know the exact word in English) straw bale (?) in the middle of the track, right after T3, and damaged my steering. From that moment on I just tried to come back to the pits and get the car repaired. After realizing the steering was not actually repaired, I just brought back the car to the pits and call it a day. :-(

Well, I expected my last dance in the Ferrari to go a little bit different My time to train was limited, I only did enough laps to know where the track goes and do a basic setup, I expected nothing I somehow found myself in the lead and control of the race after a few laps and felt quite comfortable A misunderstanding with a lapped car ended my last dance and my last drive in this beautiful car Nevertheless, I still had a great season and achieved much, much more than I expected at the beginning Very happy how my first season in a Ferrari went

A great start but then I ruined it for myself. I felt unwell and couldn't keep focus on this difficult track. Could have been a great result, but to finish first you have to finish, and Anders did just that. Well done on taking a win in the old thing.

When you expect nothing, things get even worse, then you get more than anticipated and finally outsmart yourself...
...well, I knew this would be a really hard race, beautiful rendition, but it remains an awful track and I'm most happy to never be burdened with it again. It took me five attempts to get around for the first time, and I was careful. Not even thinking about going fast, just getting a steady, save pace in was a problem. In practice, I never managed to get 12 laps down without crashing into something, and I was not even pushing. Add two busy weeks at work with a high rate of sick leave (you name it, big C), a volunteer, who's not exactly a help, and my lungs and brains still occupied from my own COVID sickness, I couldn't get as many laps down as I wished, and constantly running into something, didn't help with motivation, too.
I decided to use the Q session to get some more laps in and work on a save rhythm, but to my surprise, I could get some respectable laptimes down, even though I wasn't keen on a high grid spot. There were even two more seconds in the car, but I couldn't get things together in the end, controlling the pace remained troublesome for me. Just trying to raise the pace a little would throw me off the track, it stayed impossible for me to judge the limit.
Also during testing, I realised the car was pretty much at the limit, not just the suspension, but engine and brakes became a problem. I never had much of a trouble in that department, once I got the hang of it. Engine temps could be handled by the point where I shift, but the line was thin, if you wanted to stay safe. Brakes, well, this was the first time during the season, I had problems with the brakes. Throughout the season, I would occassionally get beyond 350 degs, but here, I was hitting 410 degs on a regular base, with all problems that come with such temps. So, that was another serious concern. During practicing, I had quite a few run-offs following failing brakes. So, how to handle that? get some wheight out of the car. Like ... fuel? With 120 litres, the car did not behave nice, which raised my chances of crashing out, and that fuel load really stressed the brakes. Somewhere yesterday evening, I came up with a plan of doing a scheduled stop. So why burden myself with unnecessarily much fuel probably won't use and just does make things more worse? And if I happen to get further than anticipated, I'll grab some more. At 75 litres, the car handled acceptable, would go 30 laps and not stress brakes to much. And refueling was relatively quick, the remaining 50 odd litres just took 18 seconds, two spins with a full tank cost you more. Sounds like a plan!
So, not expecting too much, but being relatively calm, I went into the race. Lights went green, I got decently from my spot, but the track is terribly narrow, and the Cooper in front of me went away pretty slow. That's fine, stay calm, stay behind. Unfortunately, behind me, someone was a bit more spirited and thus I received the first bump. The second I got, when we braked for T1. After everything resolved after T1, I was finally second to last. Mwah! At least few peeps to hassle me from behind. Had a little fun battle with a Lotus and a Maserati, but in lap 3, all went pretty wrong. I got a yellow flag warning, lifted the throttle, saw something in the middle of the road at the fastest section of the track - a haybale! I chose to take the right side. Stupid idea, I got on the wrong side of the line, wouldn't make the next high speed corner and plowed into another haybale. Yikes! At first, the car felt bent, but else not so wrong, but the next righthander proved me otherwise - front left tire gone. I limped back to the pit and had the car repaired, but all that shenianigans had me two laps down right at the start of the race. Oh, well...
...from there, I went back to racing, found a decent pace and rhythm at 2:40, wasn't even last car running, and with all other people around dying like flies, it didn't take me all to long to work myself from 18th to 6th, and sooner or later I expected the two Lotus to drop out, too. And finally I got 22 or 23 laps down, relatively safe. More than I ever got down before!
But then, I wrote something outsmarting myself. Well, a red car came up to me, John, I think, and was about to put another lap on me. Trying to be courteous, I went a bit wide to give him the inside line going into Boulevard Alexandre Corner, the righthander leading to the backstraight. Now, that has worked a thousend times before on dozens of tracks, but not on that darned waste of tarmac! I slid off track and hit the stacked up haybales which immediately killed my car. What a fitting end to the season I spent in the virtual recreation of this specific car. I hope it was not that fiery on the screen...
Apart from the last race, I really enjoyed the cars and the series. Well, in my mid 40s, I'm probably in the right age for these machines, but they are just my thing. Thanks to all involved for organising the series and races, I hope to see soon something in a similar fashion!

I had a good start off the grid but somehow going into turn 1 the car in front seemed to brake very hard all of a sudden. I could not avoid and hit their rear, which made the car undriveable. I managed to make it back to the pits for repairs but it still was undriveable after that.
I would've preferred to do better in these cars in general but time was short this year.

A pity, I made a safe start and went through the first corner, started a long dispute with Mr. Miller for many laps, I managed to pass and open a comfortable distance, but small mistakes made me lose position and have to start the chase again. Ok, I managed to pass the Miller again but... other mistakes and small accidents that were undermining the drivability of my Cooper resulting in a new loss of position for the Miller who was relentless with the Lotus and having to start the chase again until he had an accident stronger. I was having a good race, but my car was all crooked and when I left the track, I had no more control over it.

I qualified 8th about a second behind Petr who was flying in another BRM. I was surprised to get into the 1:32s as I had not been near that time in practice, I was also in front of Grant, just . In the warmup people were going really fast which looked like there would be few finishes in the race. The race started ok and I was in 6th place and looking after my engine temps then on lap 3 I was hit hard from behind and punted off into the haybales . I drove back to the pits and after repairs I was a lap down and the car was still handling badly which caught me out and ended my race hitting another haybale. Thanks for the broadcast, it must be a difficult job with so few cars left running.. Well done Anders.

well, the only word that can describe my status yesterday night is bitterness, such a stupid mistake from my side, i only wanted to throw my head against a ... bale. The qualy was really good, i mean, this track was the perfect pair for the Vanwall, such a beautiful car to drive around the fast sweeping turns. For the race i have to admit i was not really confident about, i learned from the past races that my pace sometime is too conservative, expecially with theese fragile cars. At least with full tank the car was no more locking the rears like in qualy and for absurd i could brake a bit later with full tank than empty one but the water temperature was worringly high after some laps ,100 deg before the long straight, with the BRM that could have caused a secure retirement, i haven't experienced the effects on the Vanwall, so i had to stay careful. I had a good start, no wheelspin at all and i managed to stay ahead of both Ferraris, the plan was to be careful on the twisty sections where the engine was prone to overheat, and give everything down the straights to have advantage of the superior pure speed of my car. On lap 1 i went out at the right hander Azenmour, hit a couple of bales and luckily rejoined 4th. The car got no severe damage and i was able to chase Juha. 1 lap later triyng to outbrake the Cooper down the main straight i hit the infamous bales on the outside, end of the story. Despite the early race end, i really enjoied the race i participated, really fun and so competitive drivers around. Thanks to everyone, from the organizers to the other drivers, i'm loocking forward for the 1986 F1 season next year!
P.S: well done Anders for the win, and thank you for the car you lend me, feel free to send the bill for the repairs

It was an honor for me to have participated in this championship with such brilliant and fast drivers! Thanks for the tip at the start of the Juha championship, the Cooper is a fantastic car! I ran the entire championship with the same car, 13 thousand kilometers driven! The disputes were always fierce, but in my impression, all the pilots respected each other more, congratulations to all. I watched all the broadcasts of the races and I can only congratulate Mr. White and Jonatan for the excellent transmissions and deep technical details, especially Alberto. the historical wealth that flows from you is impressive. Congratulations to everyone involved in the development of the MOD and tracks, great job you did. My congratulations to the administrators for the fair conduct and organization of the events, always punctual and full of pilots of such a high level.
